  1. I missed that part too. Procter & Gamble. Remarkable. Paging @DRW50 @DramatistDreamer and others I'm sorry to forget.
  2. Alexis' law license, surely.
  3. I don't think she's a great actress (paging @Darn), but the character is important. So I'm glad to see her.
  4. I think it was primarily Steve's laziness. He was largely on cruise control after he returned having failed to conquer Hollywood. I mentioned this on another forum recently too; you're absolutely right. I rewatched '96, etc. stuff recently and Jason was different.
  5. I'd settle for the mob focus being downshifted, as it's been before. (And titan is also right about the past shift.) And if these scenes help contribute to that I am all for it. They felt very much like the new team.
  6. Then the beef would be from 1998 and I'd have to watch this guy do a bad accent. And the beef would be petty over losing a woman. This hits different because of the content being candidly addressed in 2024 in a way it hasn't seriously been in many years, and because it's from a character who has been gone forever. Sonny is who he is, he hasn't changed enough and people should say it.
  7. I really don't think Jill had anything to do with that, as she was out of power within the job pretty much by the time he returned on contract for Guza. Steve just didn't give a shít.
  8. I guess I don't see that many people doing that, beyond cherry-picked anecdotes from the NYT economy beat.
  9. They'll come to it slowly over the next week or so. They always grudgingly do, often with excuses made for the GOP/Trump. People are tired of him. They were tired 4 years ago. And while the Biden dislike factor is already heavily overhyped by media and often Very Online, even if it were more legit a lot of people would still either crawl over glass to vote against an actual corpse vs. Trump. Or, if we're talking GOP votes he's lost before and tonight, just stay home again because they're still tired. And that's not even getting to Dobbs. The only people in the general public not tired of Trump are his remaining base and the mainstream media.
  10. Trump only got 63% in Virginia - Virginia - among his own party. Neither @marceline nor I need to put a show on in the barn to indicate what that suggests for the future.
  11. I can buy it, especially after what Ryan, Nikolas, Esme and Austin and his hick family put her through. She's always been bad news IMO but I can see that all spurring her to decide now is the time to go all in, kill Austin and work her way back to power after being pushed around for a number of years.
  12. Maybe. But I think if he knew it was Ava and saw how close she's gotten to Sonny again (and he has clearly been monitoring this situation) he wouldn't wait. And yeah, as I said she doesn't give a fúck. Ava never has.
  13. Ava is also in the life. She doesn't give a fúck what he has done because she has done terrible things and wants power. But I agree. She is enabling and playing him as she did ten years ago, angling to seduce him again, and she may or may not be involved with whatever operation is gunning for Sonny. It would not shock me if Jason doesn't know she's involved either. She kept herself insulated from Julian and being identified as inside the business for a long time before Connie found out about Derek Wells.
  14. I've said it before but looks aside he is like an overgrown manchild. I really hope BLQ doesn't marry him. And yeah, I'm legit worried about Dante/DZ too.
  15. Thanks for this. I also had no idea Frost played Iva's father on ATWT. I would love to see that.
  16. Since we're modernizing these threads, we might also point out that the 'link' button in the post field box is the chain-looking button right next to the GIF and spoiler tag/eye icons. All you have to do is plug in the website URL of whatever you are trying to post into the link button's URL field with some text as its title. For example: Brian Gaskill is Out You don't have to paste the entire messy URL into a post in 2024.
  17. I think both this and what Wagger says can be true. And Wagger is correct: Whether Sonny intended it at the time or not, Stone laundered his image over the years. I do think Sonny loved Stone, as he said. I also think Sonny has dined out on Stone for decades.
  18. Me neither. But yes, he did very well today. I definitely don't want him at the center of any potential takedown story either but I can accept him being here for the short term if the scripts stay good. Maurice seemed a bit thrown by how much emotion the other guy brought to it, so if history serves he should be complaining at fan events about the writing in a week or less! I am legit worried about Dante making it BTW lol, that's how much the show has grabbed me. Even Kober impressed me with his depth of emotion in the scenes with Laura the other day, and usually I have zero patience for Cyrus (Monday's scenes with Portia were cathartic).
  19. It's only tedious to me if nothing material comes of it, which is generally the case with Sonny. If it was up to me Scorpio and Anna would've set up a long-term The Wire-style sting op to take down Sonny for good years ago when they both returned to town full time. They still could! But I ain't betting on it lol. I would settle for Sonny having to really reckon with his horrible life, and be primed for oh, let's say Brenda. And no, I still do not need Wagger here beyond this story.
  20. Curtis is just one of many characters who needs to go. BK deserves better. I am pretty sure the latest BLQ/Tracy permutation re: Deception yesterday is a sudden whiplash rewrite on top of an existing double-cross but it's one I welcome. The bedding-in of that relationship and trying to make it closer and the intelligent discussion of Brook Lynn's future goals and ambitions and what Tracy wants her to have for herself was all very good for me.
  21. I can buy it. Who knows how lonely a life Wagger has had since losing Karen and since his son moved out? This might be all he has going. But these scenes were pretty good and AH was quite good in them. He almost made me call him Jagger! I was especially glad he zeroed in on why Anna defends Sonny, which has always infuriated me given Anna's history on this show and the fact that it's transparently done because of the offscreen friendships and to try to keep putting Sonny over with longtime fans even though he has been on the show for over 30 years. And to her credit, Finola beautifully played that like he was absolutely right and Anna couldn't take it.
