  1. I definitely don't remember Beall being ready for primetime on AMC.
  2. It's very typical of soaps today to a) desexualize most LGBT characters by forcing baby stories upon them and b) force too many baby stories period, because they are allegedly instantly greenlit in this strange day and age before anything else. The entire latest baby surrogacy mess should not exist. It is a time-waster. Considering PM is a uh, openly sex-positive guy to say the least, it'll be interesting to see how the current puritanical GH shifts or doesn't.
  3. Same here. I still wonder if they had any real plan when they hired her or if it was just another pointless get for Frank. Because this baby subplot and their stumbling onto Blaze clearly was not it. I know some people suspected they'd intended a triangle with Dex and Joss, which would've also bored me to tears.
  4. Vivica Fox, Jonelle Allen, Sally Sussman and (yikes) Anthony Morina are interviewed for an EW oral history on the famous catfight.
  5. I do suspect PM sharpened up those scenes, but who knows. I'm still not particularly invested in the couple though, and I hope to Christ the latest needless baby story with T.J. and Molly vanishes immediately.
  6. Blaze is a decent enough supporting player, but I said this was a mistake when FV and co. first embarked on it, clearly intending for it to be some twice or thrice a month subplot. I think she did a good job in the scenes the other day and that they were written well. I just don't think the character or this couple has much of an existing foundation. Maybe Mulcahey will change that or maybe I'll stay disinterested.
  7. I would be all for Marci Miller, I always found Julie Berman too smug. But without a vision for the character's future it won't mean much. The adventurous reporter thing worked for me, but not the execution with Rylan.
  8. Really? 8 clips she could've looked up on YT or you could've sent in DMs? Okay.
  9. Richard Lewis was an absolute legend, especially on '90s Comedy Central. Trek did right by Kenneth Mitchell, putting him in several roles across their shows over the last few years.
  10. That is funny. Shades of OLTL in 2003 when I could've sworn the framing and lighting on Clint's welcome home banner made it look like it said "WELCOME HOME CLIT"
  11. That is almost as mortifying as the napkin dress they made Genie wear in 2013 for her courthouse insta-wedding to Scott after their entire implausible courtship and reunion took place offscreen. Actually, no it is worse.
  12. I would rather drink Drano than watch Jason and Sam together again, but I won't be totally shocked if it happens if both Steve and Kelly are looking for more job security (and I suspect she might be). I consider the inevitable return of Steve to be the toll I must pay for Patrick Mulcahey. I just hope he finds something interesting to do with this spent character. I will not be shocked if PM does bring back the Spencer kids. And allegedly JJ has claimed he'd be willing to appear but hasn't been asked. Who knows how long ago that was or what they could even get him for at this point, but it's undeniable GH shít the bed alienating him out of his contract with bad story in 2010-2011. He's not getting any younger, so I would try again. Getting Vanessa back would be Job One for me. Maurice cannot handle frontburner story, she can; he can take a backseat to her. That writes itself. If it happens we'll know something has changed with Frank, because we've all postulated that he deliberately keeps her gone because she's too big for his vision.
  13. I mentioned it before, but do not get me started on how many teary-eyed emotional speeches Spinelli used to give Maxie about what a lying slut she was with a bunch of $8 words and a slew of nicknames thrown in. He really was a 4chan incel before it became popularized during that period.
  14. It's official.
  15. What?! Thats's nuts. I thought Blaze was pretty good in those scenes with Eva. I just am not super invested in "Blaze" (yes I know her real name, peanut gallery) or this relationship at all. I do think the scenes felt clearly touched up dialogue-wise and everyone came off well as a result.
  16. Having taken the step of seeing both movies, I will say that Emma is very good in Poor Things but Lily is equally deserving for Killers and carries a ton of the film for me, the equal of De Niro and Leo who were also very very good.
  17. She's Puerto Rican and is calling her 'mami'. The Vegas did it with Carlotta on OLTL for years.
  18. I could swear it had something to do with cat poop. But I barely watched under that regime, even this one is less boring than the Passanante years. I vowed after what she did at AMC I'd never watch her work full time again. Bradford actually did leave in the early 2010s to go drive Lyft, that is not a joke. But I used to razz him mercilessly on Primetimer/TWOP whenever he would occasionally return after and say 'beep beep! here comes Bradford!' every time. Terrible.
  19. It's the 500 nicknames for 'cool' terrible people, the worship of Jason and the growing proto-incel vibes the character often exhibited in later years towards Maxie that made younger me go from finding Spinelli cute to wanting to kill him. Remember when he would call Sonny "Mr. Sir" and shít and then the names for Claudia and literally 3/4ths of the canvas? I wanted to murder the writers who clearly thought it was all delightful. Anyway it's all water under the bridge these days, or was til he left Ellie and I got annoyed again lol. But he's better lately. Somewhat. Sort of. I am just over this grown-ass man still being flummoxed over Maxie. So I was glad they had an unexpectedly intelligent conversation yesterday. Didn't Sam also go crazy because of cat droppings? And shot Sonny or something and he landed in the pit from Parks and Recreation? Shout-out @DRW50
  20. Griffin was terrible and should stay forgotten. Soon he and CM will be battling it out for the same TV host gigs again.
  21. Oh God, I forgot they left Ellie with boring-ass Griffin too.
  22. That's why I was not onboard with him coming back to the show and dumping Ellie; I felt he'd matured a lot with her and had given up on the come here/go away bullshit he used to pull with Maxie. But here we are because Bradford got tired of doing Lyft. Still, they had a reasonably intelligent conversation today, I just would prefer it being a precursor to their getting a HEA and leaving lol.
  23. I think there were other unique options for Maxie in the past (like buttoned-up younger man Michael as sort of another comic pairing, that was my pipe dream once upon a time) but that was long ago. I agree none of her other pairings have ever worked. Nathan was painful, I have no idea how he lasted so long or gave her another kid let alone Heinrich giving her one too. I really liked Spixie once upon a time but I preferred when he had evolved past her and moved on with Ellie. Still, I have no objection to them back together provided they do mature and uh, preferably leave the show for a few years lol. I think they're both spent and need a long break.
