  1. Yeah, several eps from '66-'68 are going up. What a blessing.
  2. Yes, Marilyn Chris talked about it in the oral history and said she liked her exit storyline c/o Gottlieb. I love the stuff with her and Jason early on in summer-fall '91 as well, she runs the full gamut and is also hilarious hectoring Andy about not being stupid and going ahead and marrying a rich Hollywood up and comer. (She's back in 2025 doing a one woman show onstage these days at like 87 or something - and what a treat to see her young too in these '70s eps! Makes me wish we could see Wanda visit Llanview one more time.) You can see some of Tina's swashbuckler visions with Luna in a promo and some random clips on YT from the time period (October '91, I think) but I suspect those full episodes will be going up very soon. I really did love Karen Witter's Tina, to the point that I continue to struggle picking between her and Andrea Evans. I did appreciate that Malone gave Larry his last hurrah, in Viki's heart transplant story in 2004 where he figured heavily (and I think the kids still called him Uncle Larry).
  3. And GH 1967, with the original Meg Baldwin.
  4. Per our discussion in the Loving thread (somehow) re: Malone's eras: And there's stuff even earlier still - not just the (IIRC) "cursed" Egyptian jewels I mentioned in the other thread that Alex, Cain and Tina vie for (an echo of not just Bourbon Street/AW but the far stupider Bahdra diamond stuff in 2003), but also Luna guiding Tina through 'visions' of her past life with Cord as a pirate, etc. as early as fall '91, and Kevin's wild visions of Lee Ann around the same time. Then you have the famed Midsummer Night's Dream coda episodes with Megan's ghost in spring '92 as well, and probably more I haven't seen yet. Finally, the day after Megan dies in February '92, they go so far as to show an extended flashback to Starship Heaven with Virgil the angel. When Viki looks up in the hospital room back in '92, Virgil is right there in the doorway. He says one word ("Victoria") and it's implicit why he is there and who he has come for. She blinks and instead of Virgil, Clint is there and the news is out. I don't think Virgil appears again in that episode, or ever again. It was brilliant. We're so fortunate most of this is now becoming completely available - I sure didn't know Brenda McGillis still had a little story arc with Wanda's health issues as late as fall '91 under Malone and Griffith, and you can see them figuring out when to bring back Christopher Cousins after his brief Rauch-era arc (and keep Tonja Walker) in real time.
  5. I'll move my reply on this over to the OLTL thread.
  6. That's what I was thinking - what a 'stache! It's too bad Patricia Bruder's role was already entombed in stone by this point. Unlike, say, Denise Alexander's somewhat similar character on DAYS (Susan Martin) who IIRC stayed active for years to come after circumstances close to Ellen's with a lost child and so forth. Do we know if Jennifer was generally prickly as a character or if it was just the situation at the time with Bob, her son, etc.? I just remember seeing Gillian Spencer's very spooky, troubled character on Agnes' GL in the '60s.
  7. It was "Heart of a Lord"! And Lion's Heart Manor, Victor's evidently-secret pleasuredome, out in the Lenape forest with the omnipresent mystical fog that made Antonio hallucinate Arthurian-tinged visions of Keri and Jessica! I'll never let go. I think someone moved into or used Lion's Heart after the Santis but I can't recall who, I always wanted that ridiculous location brought back (much like I was convinced Gary Tomlin's beloved Llantano Mountain rock quarry was the ruins of Eterna). Ironically it was only Ron Carlivati and his own completionist instinct that finally gave some sort of point to the aborted "Heart of a Lord" stuff with Todd and "Victor Sr." in early '03 - in 2011 he brought back the Lord signet ring "Victor" had given Howarth's Todd and left him obsessing over, and very belatedly revealed it had microfilm or something in it related to Irene's secret covert agency. Listen, whatever works. Malone II was often insane and ridiculous but I agree it was never boring, which is why I remain so clear about the details even if it was often like watching a poet with a brain tumor live everyday. But I'll disagree with you about the gothic or fantasy elements being new - with so much of Malone and Griffith's first run going up online recently (including the key transition period in '91 finally being available, and all of '92) there is so much more mystic-themed stuff and fantasy eps than I realized, many of them I enjoy. (Even the diamond heist, etc. stuff on AW and Bourbon Street IIRC began with Alex Olanov vs. Tina and Cain in 1992, over some Egyptian jewels.) It's just that the production, tone, scripts and overall scripts were frankly much better in Malone's first run. Lord, we're so off-topic.
  8. Julianne Moore did say in 2010 (when she made her brief return) that Helen Wagner was still giving them acting tips.
  9. The Frank Way. The preview clips have been nonsensical and random for years now.
  10. It's just glorious to finally get to see Nancy Pinkerton after all these years and many anecdotal stories about her kind of Dorian. What a sinister, intellectual presence. I wouldn't give Robin's Dorian up, but it really is a huge what could have been.
  11. I can understand why some are reticent to talk about it given how it ended at the management level (with almost no one getting paid, and Erika Slezak by her own account staring down the Prospect Park payroll agent after hours). I do think Francesca James being onscreen again in that story was no coincidence per: Agnes and her favorite actors. I'm still sore about the shows too lol. I know Bob Woods and maybe Corbin Bleu as well as Eric Nelsen (per the above) knew more about what was supposedly coming, I wish someone would share. I had heard Agnes also wrote the scene with Dixie's letter to Billy Clyde. And certainly Angie's direct address to the camera re: abortion rights in the wake of Todd Akin, etc. - even more relevant and searing today - felt like Agnes' last gift to us. Also interesting seeing Broderick again, given the recent claim by someone that she almost went to GH in 2012 with Frank Valentini. (I have a hard time seeing that)
  12. Didn't Henry end up in bed with Doreen in the finale or close to it? Or maybe die? How did they get involved?
  13. I will be That Guy and say maybe it's because I always found Timon Durrett so fine as yet another cheater on Queen Sugar, but I think Bill and Dani may bring it back around together eventually. He is a commanding presence.
  14. I hesitate to post any more of his work all over the forum, so I'll just say thank you yet again to @GymnastGuy for his GH 1967 uploads today. If you don't know where to find it, ask someone!
  15. I also really enjoy Agnes' Loving stint(s?) in the '90s. I would argue her love for a gothic flirtation remained right up to the end in AMC 2013, where she was supposedly involved (though who knows, people say a lot of things). The Celia Fitzgerald mystery and her fairy tale romance with Pete Cortlandt certainly felt like that side of her to me. I also saw her hand in elements of poor little rich boy/foundling A.J. Chandler, a la Cooper Alden or Phil Brent (though that regime apparently intended to make A.J. gay).
  16. I knew @EricMontreal22 would show up when I saw him on the uploads! It has been far too long. And thank you @GymnastGuy for all you've shared. I hope you don't mind my highlighting some of your recent uploads; I won't plaster them across the forum going fwd.
  17. No, I agree. I was just telling a friend this is where ABCD has had it over on CBS' daytime dept for at least a decade now - the Y&R, etc. promos have been incredibly shallow and superficial for years. Just random action and lines. GH's promo dept is certainly not what it used to be, but their promos and many of ABCD's for other shows are/were often a bit more character-driven in the modern era. Fortunately this isn't like those Y&R promos, but I do think it could go deeper. It's a fun trailer and I get why they are highlighting the glitz and OTT soapiness for the general audience and to bring in new viewers - to underline 'this is a soap opera about wealthy Black people.' Spotlighting high drama and messy behavior does get eyes on the show, and that is important. I just hope they modulate these promos a bit once they're on the air. Though frankly I don't trust CBS Daytime to get those right.
  18. I had to turn off Adblock for that shít. Good trailer though. Out of respect for the spoiler-free I will say
  19. I still have the script somewhere for the attempted movie reboot some years ago from Sean Durkin (a bizarre choice, behind the great psychological thrillers Martha Marcy May Marlene, The Iron Claw and The Nest) and Abi Morgan (an equally bizarre choice, having written Shame). I wonder wtf that looks like. I'll have to read it.
  20. It's nothing to do with me, it's just a very generous new user on YT who popped up on my screen. I felt people should know about the initial offerings for these shows, but the rest should probably be left to each of us to monitor ourselves.
  21. Kristen Alderson's (Starr, OLTL/Kiki, GH) adorable daughter turns one. There's a very cute pic at the SID link of Eddie Alderson (Matthew, OLTL) with his niece as well.
  22. Paul Krugman discusses quitting the Times and being increasingly censored/micromanaged to avoid offending the right.
  23. Marianne Faithfull has passed away. Her theme song to Alan Rudolph's strange, beautiful 80s neo-noir Trouble in Mind: From Godard's Made in U.S.A.:
  24. I do think Steve is coming to work more this time. I just think the character is beyond played out. I can think of nothing interesting to do with him with anyone currently on canvas, and I have serious doubts he'd ever play a story with Jason's Q memories. So I'd either bring on someone new or downshift him til I could write him out.
  25. Astonishing that it still looks this good. We so rarely see that this far back.
