Not as good as the cliffhanger for B&B, but wow to seeing a scene between Victor and Devon that had some substance to them. I mean how often to they have scenes together...especially given their history when Devon was young.  And H#LL YES TO Victor/Devon vs Jill/Lily!!! If I thought they would give it time...and we would get more Jill, I would totally be down for that. And I hollered at Abby having such an Naked Heiress moment by her coming down those stairs while Victor was there.

Well, Adam shot himself in the foot with his gloating to Tucker. SMH.

See? I don't mind THIS Phyllis. The schemer. She's playing everyone like a fiddle and it's giving tension that was needed. The fact she did most of it without MS's normal tics is a bonus. And happy to see Lauren somewhat involved.

I'm hoping this is leading to the anniversary because it felt like there was finally some movement again.

IA that Bryton is a good actor, and when he gets material which allows him to do a slow build in terms of emotion, Bryton excels. It is also why he needs a firecracker upon which he can offset his more naturalistic style of acting. Obviously Hillary was that firecracker for a while.

My problem is more with Ordway who does try, but comes across as almost a fembot because the svripts give her the most generic dialogue imaginable. Abby has, as others have mentioned here, no personality other than the last names of her parents. I think back to that little girl with all that gumption who sat on Victor's lap, huffing "I OWN Jabot!' in her best Uncle-Jack voice, and I can't help but think what could have been! A born actress. A gossip. A dreamer. A mini-me of her sensitive, sophisticated mother. That's the route I thought Abby would go as she got older.

Wow, Mishael Morgan is a breath of fresh air and energized all her scenes.

This is the first I’m seeing of Audra. Is she a schemer in the classic sense? Is she “innocently” urging for the JT podcast, to clear the deck so she can have Nate to herself?  If so, this could have potential…

Amelia Heinle: draining all life out of the room as Victoria Newman for almost 20 years.

Oh it was so nice to see MM in the opening credits again and sadly Amanda being a furious scorned woman is the most interesting thing we’ve seen of this character in quite some time.

Audra has been a schemer in the classic sense but her motivations are still quite murky. She had a history with Noah, was secret lovers with Tucker, dallied with Chance briefly but has been purely interested in Nate since day one. No doubt she has an ulterior motive to snag Nate for herself by doing something to take one stone to knock out the two birds of Elena and Victoria.

Ewwwwww he's a Trumper?

It was another clunker.

It was nice to see Jill and Cricket but the episode sucked!

I could care less about Devon. He's been an awful character from day one and totally miscast.

Loved finally seeing Jill IN PERSON. Those laptop scenes were tiresome.

MM as Amanda coming back with an edge was all I ever wanted. I have no idea why they made Amanda such a no nothing character after they knew MM as Hillary was money.

And I’ll be the minority opinion again and say that I enjoy both Devon and Abby and their actors.

Is it weird that I'm curious to know how Nikki referred to herself when she called Traci??

Like they were still in-laws because Nikki was only separated from Jack at the time, yet Traci and Nikki never really had many scenes or really knew each other, but since Nikki was Still "Nikki Abbott" at the time, I'm wondering if she had to use her full name when calling Traci...unless the scene was already in progress to make it seem less awkward  I guess Nikki could have said "It's your sister-in Law, or SOON TO BE ex-Sister in-law!"  haha

Yes strangely enough that episode is skipped over. It was probably just as you described. The recap makes it sound like it was a more formal call between them so that’s why I was wondering how Nikki addressed herself. Lol

    • Coming into June...   It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see.   I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's.    I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.
    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
