For real... nobody wants to see Todd on GH in 2021. I say this as someone who was a big RH/Todd fan on OLTL. It's way past time to move on from the Todd character. RH is lame now, I wish the show would just dump him.

Agreed!

I can’t believe how many comments I have read on other sites angry at GH about RH possibly leaving.  I had no idea anyone out there liked him on the show, or liked Franco.  I don’t get it at all.

Finn/Jackie/Gregory  might be compelling if we all didn't predict a WTD story the day after Chase arrived four years ago.

Of Course

Wallow has been contrived into being Wiley's mother forever. (First dead baby's mother, nanny,  adoptive mother---Square peg; round hole over and over)  The character is weepy and boring AF and should have been out with Shiloh.  I have no use for Nina, but if she drives Wallow off canvas, I might change my tune.                                    Might..........

At least the Sasha actress has chemistry with a few of her scene partners (  (Brando, Lucy, Maxie,Nina, Carly)  She's still not fantastic, but she keeps my attention when she's on screen.

I have to say Valentin and the Britch  have both grown on me over the last six months.

Can the teenagers get a story that actually involves being a teenager?

To me, even though we knew what Sasha/Chase did was "noble", it was messing with Michael/Willow's lives in a pretty major way and it should have had some consequences.  I agree the problem isn't only them being all good people.  The have no real story, zero chemistry, and none of them are really charismatic or that root-worthy.  I don't even know which couple I am supposed to like Millow or Chillow? lol.

I think a lot of the RH "fans" are Becky fans that want to keep Becky front burner and accept RH/Franco as the way to do it.  I guarantee if Franco was suddenly completely out of Liz's orbit there would be a lot less vocal Franco/RH fans.

The teenagers have the most bizarre, adult stories lol.  Where is the partying, sex, anything fun?  I know Robin had a pretty depressing teenage life, but at least she got to have sex and have fun.

I am not far from being there too if this had happened to me BUT it is not absurd for them to be forgiven ultimately. Except that we didn't get to see much of that journey so it felt like it was all shrugged off.
I can appreciate a story of good people doing something that is actually bad for "good" reasons and under the delusion they were doing the "right" thing. That's soap stuff; not black and white and people can disagree.
But if you are going to write the story and then do nothing with it, then it is a waste of anyone's time and it makes the lack of underlying compelling characters even more glaring.

If I were a bit mean, I'd say it is funny that Duell hasn't managed to have any chemistry with any of his female partners on the show considering he seems to be going through soap starlets at a steady pace in real life lol

I actually thought Michael and Abby were kind of cute.  Then I realized the actress that played Abby was legit 35 when she played his love interest when he was 18.  I thought she was maybe 8 years older than him lol.    I mean perhaps Duell has chemistry off screen only?  Lord knows he had none with KA when she was Starr/Kiki.

I have no problem with Willow/Michael forgiving them eventually.  It just was so monumentally boring.   No dramatic reveal.  No tense fights.  Just a few minutes of hurt feelings and moving on...lamely.  I think I am putting too much thought into something I don't care about, but GH has had so many good young adult triangles/quads over the years including one with Michael's own adoptive father and former step dad.  Can't we emulate that?  I'd be totally cool with someone meeting their untimely death in a car bomb again.

How incredibly stupid to allow RoHo to do that SOD blurb. Kills any momentum for this story.

Eh. The majority of Friz fans are RoHo fans. Most Liz fans aren't too fond of the pairing or him because she's gotten nothing out of it since day one. Their entire relationship has been about using her and her children to humanize him. They've made her wallpaper even giving the Tom Baker story to him, using each of her children as props to take him from serial killer to Mr. Mom... all she's done for the past few years is talk about how great he is and tell everyone that he's changed. It's exhausting.

Well you know what they say about when folks have chemistry on-screen or don't (see infamous Friends episodes).

Maybe he is using all the, hum, chemistry on real-life activity and there is none left for filming.

I wish Howarth stans would just say they are stans and will watch him read a post it instead of how important he is to the dead ass genre!  These Twitter fools are grating!

There was an article about Zander’s return, either on TVLine or EW, and the comments were filled with people talking about Franco.  It’s like a bizzaro world.  Like post after post, some even calling him a beloved character.  Who are these people?

And I like Roger Howarth!  I have no issue with him, loved him as Todd for the most part.  But I don’t want Todd back either, because this show needs any new characters to be played by actors not known for GH.  I can’t take Easton and Howarth just being killed off and brought back.

    • Well, you are the most ill-informed, condescending person on this board so I am glad you enjoy mocking me? Or whatever you are trying to do lol.  You literally can't comprehend the simplest things about the show and don't watch, but are literally shaming me for being a women?

One other side note, because now I've re-read 1993-1994.  I think that I found a ret-con issue. In 1993 after John finds out that Stefano is Kristen's father. It is not like I am claiming to have found nuclear fission, clearly mistakes happen.  But, I found this to be amusing. In 1993, Stefano becomes deadly ill, so Kristen tells John that she needs to be by her father's side, but not to worry about the deadly disease, because she's adopted.  Given, that I've always thought of Kristen as being adopted, until the more recent cannon that she is Stefano's biological child, it is interesting that in 1993, the week before Tony comes to town to announce that he is Kristen's fiancée.  Kristen is saying that she can't give blood to her dying father, because she was adopted.  So, the current reverse in cannon, neglects that detail. It is so funny to read this and then see Kristen and Tony in the crypt this week, 32 years later.  That's more than half the show's history at this point, amazing.
    • It was shuffled off the stove way before that. Think of the early summer stuff with Gio, Emma, and Dalton, which they basically dropped for weeks at a time, and then also put them on the back burner until recently.

    • After the slap it does feel inevitable - being arrested and thrown out right after her big win.
    • Yesterday it was Theo and Jada.  Today it's Chad and Belle.  What a mess.
    • I asked my soap historian GPT to help pull together the best available sources on Daniel Pilon’s run, and here’s what the research confirms: * Pilon played Max Dubujak on *Ryan’s Hope* from 1983–88. * He began appearing as Alan Spaulding on *Guiding Light* in 1988. * An academic source notes that he appeared as **Max and Alan simultaneously in November 1988 * His later-life interviews mention major upheavals, including losing his home in the Northridge earthquake and declaring bankruptcy in 1994.  That’s the factual foundation. Now for the human side of it. I’ll admit Pilon was never my favorite Alan. The Spauldings are supposed to have that patrician, Midwestern money vibe, and suddenly here comes this very European-sounding gentleman sweeping into Springfield like he wandered in from a different soap entirely. It created a strange tonal shift, at least in my memory. Whether he was intended to be temporary is hard to pin down, but honestly, looking at what he was dealing with in his real life, I don’t know that the show ever had a truly stable window to figure it out. He was going through marital strife, while being talked about as the "next James Bond" back in Canada, and juggling work on two soaps at once is a lot. Under those circumstances, the question of whether he was the “right” type for Alan becomes almost secondary to the fact that he was working through multiple emergencies while stepping into one of GL’s biggest roles. So for me, the story of his Alan isn’t just about casting fit. It’s about an actor navigating chaos and the show adapting on the fly. Also, the proverbial soap hill that I would defend its honor, is that Ron Raines in the final week was so amazing, that for me, it erases all prior memories of his performance.
