July 27, 201510 yr Member The thing is Ron will probably leave Jelly some story threads to move foward with. I would like to see some epic romance on GH. I honestly think a powerful storyline would be Tracy getting breast cancer instead of Liz now. Tracy has found out she's terminal it would be very sad but heart provoking storyline.
July 27, 201510 yr Member GH don't tape that far ahead! 😂😂😂 Ummm so off-topic but how'd you get these emojis to work? They never work from my phone! They just disappear! I'm so obsessed w/emojis these days that I can barely stand to use the stock ones here anymore <--- ugh, so basic . Any way SON can just switch to emojis? <--- Nothing like 😂 and to get back on topic...still over the moon Ron is gone. And "Jelly" is their name? Gross!
July 27, 201510 yr Member If people call Jean and Shelly - Jelly, it makes me think of Bootylicious. Bey help me please.
July 27, 201510 yr Member They'll be working from the initial story projections from the outgoing team [...] before their sole material begins to hit he air. What story projections? By now, we all know Ron doesn't believe in such things! And I'm afraid I will have to apologize for starting the "Jelly" trend since I don't recall anyone doing it before I did. But I just didn't feel like typing "Jean and Shelly" every single time so I had to come up with SOMEthing. Edited July 27, 201510 yr by Khan
July 27, 201510 yr Member I honestly think a powerful storyline would be Tracy getting breast cancer instead of Liz now. Believe it or not, I actually like this idea, if only because her scenes with Monica, a cancer survivor herself, would be equal parts drama and black comedy. AND they could develop a romance between Tracy and the male doctor who oversees her treatment and recovery. Edited July 27, 201510 yr by Khan

Very complex thought provoking and it could have a little humor it. Love this idea Khan.
July 27, 201510 yr Member I wish some people would just get real re: Ron's firing. Yeah, he helped bring up the ratings to their best position in 8 years. He also helped bring them down to their worst performance ever. Should that be ignored? I don't think so. It's not about what you've done, it's about what have you done for me lately. That's the way business works. Lately he drove the show into the ground and annihilated fans online when they voiced their displeasure. That's childish and pathetic. I've never tweeted the man because I just couldn't stand his so called "professional" behavior and I never understood the ass kissing I've witnessed online on his behalf. It was never warranted, IMO. It's because they lived through him vicariously. If he made it, they did too. He epitomized everything that made up the era of Catcall Central with DC, Nellie Oleson, etc. from the bad camp to the perving over generic pieces of ass, to the stilted "soapiness" to the pretending to give a [!@#$%^&*] about history because you clumsily rewrite it 30 different times.
July 27, 201510 yr Member I'm sure ABC bought Ron out sine his contract wasn't up till year end. I would guess they paid him to leave behind story projections that Jelly will use. It sounds like he's already left according to a Scott Sickles Facebook post. I guess Jean and the other breakdown writers are outlining the next few weeks until Shelly starts on Aug 10.
July 27, 201510 yr Member Or maybe there was an out clause and they didn't have to buy him out of his contract?
July 27, 201510 yr Member It's not about taping. It's about story outlines and scripts. Since the duo doesn't start on the payroll until August 10, their influence won't hit until at least late September to mid-October. They'll be working from the initial story projections from the outgoing team (basically changing direction or ending story lines) before their sole material begins to hit he air. That's how it works in daytime. They will definitely have full reign of the show in time for sweeps. That explains why their names aren't shown in the credits until about 2-3 months after they start writing
July 27, 201510 yr Member The cast is huge, I am curious to know whose in the first set of cuts Edited July 27, 201510 yr by rlj
July 27, 201510 yr Member That's what people said about that disgusting hack Sheffer too, but it never seems to happen. I think Ron is best off just going away for a while and starting again from scratch. Without the sycophants that have given him far more power than he warranted. True. I do agree that he needs a long break from daytime so he can reflect on what he did that was successful and what he did that was a mess ... which was a lot. He also needs a break from those that boosted his ego till the point of no return. He was decent (at one time) but I never felt he was the next Marland or Curlee as some online bloggers made him out to be.

July 27, 201510 yr Member guess she is one http://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/teresa-castillo-pregnant-0
July 27, 201510 yr Member Yeah, think again. She's (unintentionally) just ensured they can't fire her anytime soon. Also, Sabrina has recouped some popularity in her new storyline with Michael.
