I realize it's a lighthearted piece in general, but the whole "who cares? soaps are garbage anyway" tone of it (and of Ron's writing, a man who refuses to see soaps as anything beyond the fantasies of a psychologically stunted middle-aged attention seeker) makes me feel a little sad.
