January 28, 201016 yr Member And for the record, why does every story involving Katherine from this writing regime involve her being hurt in some way where everyone has to gather around her to support her? Didn't we get enough of that last year towards the end of the Kay/Marge storyline (which started off promising, but became a mess at the end)? I f.ucking hate to see Katherine as the Patron Saint of Genoa City. That is not who she is and that this is not who she will ever be to me. I love her, but no, Katherine can be a bitter and nasty woman. The fact they this writing team keeps throwing Jill under a bus to make Katherine seem like some angle enrages me and pisses me off more than words can describe. This hack writing regime does not understand the fundamentals of these complicated relationships and characters, and what made Y&R, well, Y&R to so many of us. Amen! I love Katherine Chancellor. Besides the arc with the Katherine/Marge switcheroo why do they write Katherine as, like you stated, this "patron" saint. Katherine and Jill are a match made in hell, and I've never pictured Katherine as being so submissive to the likes of Victor Newman or anyone to be so dependent on him to fight her battles for her
January 28, 201016 yr Member I loved that Tucker didn't want to give Billy a job because of how he was acting on New Year's Eve.
January 28, 201016 yr Member What is with the ABUNDANCE of that HORRIBLE background music today? MAKE IT STOP! Just when I think it's gone, it keeps turning up like dog crap in the cracks of your sneaker soles.
January 28, 201016 yr Member Wow. Jack has nerve. He's quick to forget that he was all about having some of Jill's puss too. These writers view Jill as a pathetic, bitter old woman who a man wouldn't truly be interested in for more than a booty call. Forget her years of working side-by-side with Victor, Jack, etc. and romancing them as well! Throw that 30+ year history out the window so the way she's currently written makes sense.

Sharon is a clueless airhead damsel to them Phyllis- is Nick whipped to them Katherine- helpless old saint Ashley- naive nutcase the list goes on
January 28, 201016 yr Member Victor is going to own Jabot. Mark my words. I don't doubt it. These writers are so horrible when it comes to the business aspect of this show, and that's supposed to be one of Y&R's fundamental traits. Their attempts at business on this show has been down right laughable.
January 28, 201016 yr Member And yes, there's some horrible ass dialogue in this episode. This whole week has been pretty horrible (more than usual) when it comes to dialogue. I didn't look at the credits today, who is responsible for this nonsense?
January 28, 201016 yr Member I knew it was probably coming but the difference in how Tucker treats Jill is glaring with this recast. Nichols treats Jill as if he can barely manage to not spit on her.
January 28, 201016 yr Member LOL Carl! You are killing me. That is so true. I'm sorry, but I don't see what yall are raving about. Nichols was terrible on his first day. Granted it was his first day so I'm not making judgments yet. But so far it was awkward. Not sexy and when he walked into the meeting with the sunglasses he looked like a lesbian. Played it too far and had no chemistry with Jess Walton. Not impressed at all. So hilarious seeing sexy Ryder eating out of the trash. Still, as cute as he is, I know he's funky. Why is Abby all up on him? I'd have to give him a wash first. Even when he's clean he looks a bit dirty.

Here's more proof of that Oh yes, Tucker is a player. I can give you a little tidbit. One night, Tucker gets a knock at the door and it’s Jill, and he was not expecting her. Tucker is trying to get rid of her the whole time she is standing there, and at the end of the scene, once he finally gets her out of the door, a 20-something year old comes out of his bedroom. I say, “I am sorry this took so long.” And she says, “Less talk and more action, baby.” And I say, “Oh well, I like the sound of that.” And then we get to it…. and so… he is a ‘playa’! (Laughs) This is from the Micheal Fairman interview Sylph posted in the spoiler thread: http://michaelfairmansoaps.com/2010/the-young-and-the-restless/the-stephen-nichols-interview-the-young-and-the-restless/ So hilarious seeing sexy Ryder eating out of the trash. Still, as cute as he is, I know he's funky. Why is Abby all up on him? I'd have to give him a wash first. Even when he's clean he looks a bit dirty. Abby's attraction to Ryder is about rebelling.

That was Bill Bell and Kay Alden's Jill. She hasn't received the respect/writing she's deserved for nearly a decade now. DISGUSTING!!!

What has happened to Jill & Lauren is disgusting. I say them because they were strong independent business women. yes they had romances and were sometimes victims, but for the most part all they needed was themselves. Nikki & Ashley have always pretty much been frigile or a victim or revolved around a man, but what has happened to them today is sick too.
January 28, 201016 yr Member Ryder always looks unclean, and to me not in a "oh he needs some TLC, how cute" way, but in a serious infection or IV fluids way. Abby's interest in him is so forced, tedious, and poorly acted, and is more of the same crap designed to create shock value. As soon as Nichols said Tucker would be a "player" I knew that meant Jill would get the usual sh!t treatment. The most pathetic part is that the usually hot Nichols looks so silly with his Foghorn Leghorn hair that I find him far less attractive than I find Jill. That was Bill Bell and Kay Alden's Jill. She hasn't received the respect/writing she's deserved for nearly a decade now. DISGUSTING!!! It's gotten worse since the woman-hating Sheffer and Rauch showed up. They don't just see Jill as an afterthought, they have serious contempt for her.
January 28, 201016 yr Member There is not one woman on this show who is well written. Maybe Esther and Nina, although I don't believe they truly understand what Nina can do. I need to see more of her insecurities that always came out, I need to see her scheme and be more of a power player in the romance department. Why hasn't she seen Victoria since she returned? Craziness! Abby's attraction to Ryder is about rebelling. Yes, but the guy is living in a dumpster right now. I like bad boys, but there is a limit. Besides, it hasn't exactly been working with Ryder. If she really wanted to rebel she'd have found a new guy by now. Abby is an idiot.
