The Diane plot is definitely the first time in a while Y&R feels like a soap. There’s no excuse for a boring show, but I wonder if at least *some* of the most recent listless wheel-spinning of the show was them biding their time to put this story in motion (actor availability, etc.).

That’s how I imagined it. A rebooted RHONY series that reflects the true diversity of NY (without the baggage) while still capitalizing on the charismatic OGs through a spin-off. Seems smart.

That moment should have sent chills down your spine, even if you never saw Susan Walters on the show. It’s as much a writing fail as it is a production one. It may as well have been Chelsea walking into Crimson Lights at the end of the show. That’s how dull it was.

Diane’s entrance should have been an event, and not the throwaway, blink-and-you-missed-it shot that it was. A little finesse goes a long way.

Today’s one of those days when I think about how Heather Tom might play a scene as Victoria.

Sucks that they had to kill Keemo as a device to bring back Diane, when neither of them should have been dead.

One thing I hated was that they had Nina, Katherine, and Jill all there, and it should have been their story, if anything, but it was just more Cane/Lily angst. And TB was just so out of his depth/element up against TC, JW, and JC. They definitely should recast P3 (if a new production regime ever steps in).
