  1. What that lady did for B'way and for dance is immeasurable. May she RIP.
  2. Well, I'm glad they remembered that foundation. I'd hate to think we suffered all those years ago through that special musical performance from Jewel for nothing, lol.
  3. My vote's for the latter. A question for the ages! But seriously. Sharon working as CEO of some vague outfit that she inherited from her one-time stalker and abuser does not make sense to me (and y'all know how big I am on things making sense to me, lol). If anything, she should be focusing her time and energy on running that non-profit that she and Nick had set up after Cassie's death to educate young adults on the dangers of underaged drinking and driving. Now here is where you would need an "Eve Harrington" type, someone who shows up in Sharon's life under the pretense of acclimating her to life as a CEO, but who systematically isolates Sharon from everyone, including Mariah. Then, taking advantage of Sharon's naivete and history of mental illness, they end up framing her for embezzlement or some other white collar crime as part of some overall, nefarious agenda; and Sharon, facing prison time, must ally herself with someone like Phyllis in order to prove her innocence.
  4. I agree. Let Ava piss off a whole bunch of people on her way to being killed off in a whodunnit. And, if it ain't too much trouble, undo that "Delia is her bio mom" [!@#$%^&*], too.
  5. Correct! I'll never stop thanking Millee Taggart for having the guts to kill off Richard, even if it was all for naught.
  6. I apologize if this has been mentioned already, but one trend you definitely see (or hear) occurring throughout the '80's was the switch to synthesized music. Practically overnight, it seemed as if most soaps suddenly began sounding like "Miami Vice" and "The Equalizer."
  7. Was there a discotheque on RH? Did characters ever mention going to any of them (like, for example, Studio 54)? I remember everyone and their cousin dining at that Chinese restaurant; and later, at the Crystal Palace. But, for the life of me, I can't recall if there was a discotheque on that show as well (which is strange for a show set in NYC, practically the epicenter of the whole disco movement).
  8. No, it wouldn't, lol.
  9. I've said it before and I'll say it again: they could burn down Crimson Lights tomorrow and I would not give a [!@#$%^&*].
  10. Oh, Lord, that was so icky, lol. It speaks volumes how TPTB basically explained that away with, "Sharon has bipolar depression."
  11. Ironically, I learned all about this (in a way) when Viki lost Megan on OLTL. That damn near broke my spirit.
  12. Such terrible news to read. My heart and condolences go out to ES and her family.
  13. Nope. They aren't. At this point, it's just, "show up on the set, stand on your mark (or whatever), say your lines, thank you and NEXT!". Prospect Park, the production outfit that handled AMC and OLTL's brief, online revival back in the dark ages of streaming, did a lot of things wrong, but one thing they apparently did NOT-wrong was give back rehearsal time to the actors on both shows.
  14. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== But how great would it be to wake up in an alternate reality to news that Sony/CBS has hired Curlee/Demorest to take over Y&R and given them complete creative control to do as they’d like? data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== On the one hand, it wouldn't be anything at all like Bill Bell's Y&R. But, on the other hand, at least Y&R would be watchable again. Catherine LePard? From "7th Heaven"? Wow.
  15. He also fathered Harry Connick, Jr., which, in many ways, was an equally egregious act.
  16. Frankly, I think GH's reluctance to dismiss Kirsten Storms only tells part of the story. I think the other, perhaps more significant reason why this show won't at least "rest" Maxie, if not kill her off, is because she has B.J.'s heart.
  17. I agree. You know, Kristina Wagner being off GH wouldn't be the worst thing to happen in the history of the show. I'm just saying.
  18. To me, Victor always has been someone who wanted a wife or girlfriend whom he could pet and pamper and spoil. He had that to one degree or another with Lorie, Julia, DEFINITELY Nikki, Hope, Sabrina and even Ashley, who probably was the most independent mate he'd had up to that point. If Victor and Christine had become a full-fledged couple, you know it would've imploded the minute Christine put her career as an attorney over Victor's demands.
  19. I'm sure he will lure her away at some point. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be too surprised if you look up one day and see either Nancy Curlee's or Stephen Demorest's name in the credits. Believe it or not, I actually like Tom Degnan. I liked him on ATWT, and I liked him on OLTL, too, even though, in both cases, he got saddled with bad storylines. Not the world's finest actor, and probably not at all convincing as a villain or even anti-hero, but definitely someone who could've grown into another tentpole actor/character, if given the right opportunity on the right show.
  20. Frankly, I thought pairing Victor and Christine was a mistake even then. It just didn't seem right for Christine, who always has been independent and self-reliant, to hook up with an alpha male like Victor.
  21. First of all, @JaneAusten, I'm glad you're still with us and hope you're taking care of yourself and that you will be on the mend soon. I, for one, would love to have an in-depth discussion about the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. It's a subject that the media, I'm afraid, is not doing a very good job of explaining to the public. They seem to want to reduce it to "heroes and villains," when, IMO, it's much more complicated than that. So far, the only public figures I've heard from who truly get that there are many, many factors at play are Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton. As Obama himself said, "Nobody's hands are clean in this."
  22. Exactly. There's no time anymore to work with these actors (especially ones with little-to-no experience) in developing characters who aren't just variations of previous roles on other shows.
  23. Wow. I mean, she ain't exactly wrong, lol. But...wow. And poor Felicia. All she could do was flee the church in tears. Another woman might have snatched Maxie by her highlights and dragged her from the pulpit, kicking and screaming every step of the way.
  24. I'll admit it's weird to see the dude who played the janitor in "The Breakfast Club" and Molly Ringwald's brother-in-law-to-be in "Sixteen Candles" now play a villain on a soap opera.
  25. To this day, I wonder if Connie Wilkes was supposed to be an impostor all along, or if that was a rewrite intended to get her off the show. (IIRC, it was Tad who recognized her).
