Something different in terms of the writing maybe? I always believed that that was part of the reason why storylines like the Ice Princess, Carly buried alive, Marlena’s possession, etc. were so successful. They didn’t just follow the same soap formula, they were something different. Haha yep. According to the Y&R Vault, the day I was born was the day the farmhouse caught on fire

Today wasn’t as good as yesterday. Guess who’s fault that was? This show would improve so much if Leo was dead. Hell, if I became the writer, he’d be dead in my first week. Hopefully, now that we’ve reached the strike episodes, there’ll be less of an obsession with him. That being said, WTF Sloan? What person leaves a baby alone for even a second? I have no parental instincts whatsoever and even I know that you don’t do that. There had to be a better way to write it in order for the baby to be kidnapped. This just seemed lazy and thrown together. Plus, it appears that Jessica Serfaty still needs some work when it comes to this kind of acting 😂 The Stephanie/Tripp scenes didn’t really seem to fit into this episode but I enjoyed them. I like that Stephanie is conflicted over Chad and whether or not she should stay for Thomas and Charlotte’s sake. I just hope she just keeps her guard up around Everett. As for what may or may not have happened between her and Harris, I don’t mind it. It’s add another layer to this storyline. This was the spoiler that some of y’all might not like that I was referring to 😂😂

I see Days and AW weren’t doing too well the week I was born lol But then again, that was also the week that Sheila kidnapped Lauren. A big thank you to @JAS0N47! 😃😃

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Agreed. It seemed like Julie, and Doug too were victims of the youth movement at the time. I remember when we were discussing that time period in this thread a while back, we saw that once Doug and Julie were married, as a couple they were pretty much backburnered. Until the whole Larry Atwood saga.

Today was very couple heavy and a lot of those scenes were really nice. I loved John’s gift to Marlena. Plus, it looks like Marlena may play a bigger part in the baby switch then I thought and I think that’s a good thing. I also liked John and Marlena each counseling Xander and Sarah over how they’re feeling about each other right now. I’m looking forward to their reunion, but I’m also looking forward to the next conflict between them when it comes out that Xander is really Victor’s son 😂 I guess I should be annoyed that EJ and Nicole were happy at first and then received the baby’s ashes, but once again, they stole the show. They’re really good together, even though I’m still Team Ericole. Dan and Ari definitely do have their Emmy reels ready for next year. Their performances really have elevated this storyline in something different. It almost makes all the bad, nonsensical storylines and characters irrelevant. Tate/Holly were good today as well. I hope this isn’t the end of this part of their storyline. I still say they need some friends their own age though. I did laugh when Johnny said to Chanel, “Never underestimate the Dimeras” but yet Stefan can’t do a single thing about Clyde. And also when I noticed the guy with the awful wig sitting behind him at the Bistro 😂😂 But, I do gotta admit, Johnny does look good in a fencing uniform 😍😍😂

Today was actually pretty good, despite there being a strange obsession with socks 😂 But finally, a Stephanie/Jada scene! I liked it. The actresses seem to play off each other well and it’s always good to get a friendship scene between characters. It was the right decision to have Stephanie’s ex and Jada’s ex be the same person. That opens up this storyline to so many more possibilities. Also, some people may disagree lol but Harris being a part of this storyline, and to an extension Stefan/Ava, could be good as well. And finally, a Theresa/Tate scene. And just like I’m sure we all suspected, it was lousy. EOB’s Theresa did not come off as Tate’s mother at all. She came off more like the uninterested, gold digging stepmother lol It just seems so out of character, especially since we were told for years that Theresa was pretty much raising Tate all on her own and was devoted to him. If they were gonna go this route, they should’ve at least had Theresa say that she was stepping back a little on raising Tate now that Brady is playing a bigger part in his life. Btw, Shane and Kim were married three times? I thought it was only twice. Brady/Tate was a good parent-child scene though. Brady seems to be doing what he can in order to show Tate that he does care, while also trying to help him stay on the straight and narrow and I like that. It’s a good dilemma for Brady… and it finally keeps him away from Kristen. I wonder if anything’s gonna happen now that Brady gave Tate his credit card. It could lead to some kind of conflict for him and Holly. And idk why but I enjoyed Stefan/Ava today as well, even though I’m not liking their storyline at the moment and Clyde needs to die. But it may actually improve if that happened lol. And with Ava calling Stefan Jake today, it seems like they may be going with some kind of transference storyline and I actually don’t mind that. One thing though, since Days is written and taped so far ahead, they really should cut out any pop culture references. Does anyone still stream Mrs. Davis? 😂😂😂 Yeah. It was mentioned from the beginning that she had been divorced.

DAYS: Actor Exits Role!
I hate this but it’s for the best. Peter Porte was completely wasted. Wasted even worse than Zach Tinker, which I didn’t think was possible. All because Ron Carlivati is too hard for Leo and too small minded to have a gay actor play anything but a gay character. SMH I wouldn’t even be surprised if he was angry when Peter Porte was first cast in Beyond Salem. This storyline and this pairing were total garbage. How do you get this talented, charismatic, and absolutely gorgeous actor, who can be a villain, can do comedy and can have good romantic chemistry with both men and women and then approve such an awful, mean spirited and nonsensical storyline for him? And pair him with the worst character on the show? They didn’t just drop the ball with this storyline and character. They dropped it, ran it over with a friggin 18-wheeler and then set what was left on fire. I’m sure we’ll see him again. I just hope that Leo is dead or gone when we do. There’s still an obvious storyline there with Megan. And also with the ISA connection #Dandrew In the meantime, I’m sure Peter Porte will land roles that are actually good enough for him. I may not miss his character all that much but I’ll definitely miss him 😍😍😊 EDIT: My apologies, for the rant lol

Today was… ehhh. Hopefully, when we reach the episodes that were written solely by scab writers, they’ll be less obsessive prop writing. Leo just needs to die. Alex is another character that gets the obsessive writing as well. I think I actually would have liked his and Stephanie’s scenes if there wasn’t an agenda at play. Crazy how this team gets tired of some characters and storylines so quickly, but these two clowns are still shoved down our throats. I’m still Team Chad, even though he overreacted today about Alex and Stephanie. He really is the best example of what a gray character should be. Steve’s scenes were the best part of today, both with Stephanie and with Jada. I liked him encouraging Stephanie not give up, and also him and Jada remembering Marcus. That’s the way that you use history. And btw, Dimitri’s gone? Just like that? I’m sure we’ll see him again but damn lol

Ok, can somebody please explain to me why we didn’t see EJ punch Leo??? I had to rewind it just to see if I had missed it, and I didn’t. I do have an idea why we didn’t see it but of course I could be wrong lol. I still will never understand how anyone in production could approve such blatantly biased writing. #DontdrinktheKoolAid. I’m already getting annoyed, thinking about his scenes tomorrow. It was good seeing Lucas again, but what was the point of him butting heads with Dimitri? Especially if we’re probably not gonna see him again for who knows how long. Dimitri couldn’t have run into Evan in prison? That would be a nice pairing. Did Evan ever get up out of the water? 😂😂 Btw, I love how Lucas is all salty about Dimitri kidnapping Kate, but not about the fact that he tried to kill Lucas’ entire family with the damn Peacock. The Paulina/Melinda bitchfight was unnecessary too. The Abe/Kate scene was really nice though. I liked seeing Kate encouraging Abe to not give up hope, even though I did kinda forget that Abe is still having memory problems. Eric/Nicole was really good too. I’m enjoying how they’re going through all the motions of this storyline. It really is elevating the show and making it watchable.
