Blaine, Jerry and Sandy. They shot a whole big chase scene with them and two gunmen in the streets right outside the studio. On Texas, it was Elena and Joe. He kidnapped her for some reason, and they eventually began to fall for each other.

As annoying as Curtis was today, I wouldn't mind him being the one who, because of his determination to get Isaiah, ends up being the one that causes the secret of Rocco shooting Callum and Jason taking the fall to be exposed. The fallout could be good.

I see what you mean. There are still some things I'm not liking, but storylines do seem a little tighter and less all over the place.

Another slow one today. Clearly, it seems like there's a pattern emerging with all these Lexie/Dimera-centric episodes lol But I like that Paulina had Marlena, and then Chanel to talk to about everything she's been going through lately. It's a good way to use them all, but I still think Marlena needs to be more involved in family's storylines, and also have a story of her own. Paulina did come off a little extra though. In those scenes, and in her later scenes with Abe. It really is time for Jackee to learn the art of subtlety. But James Reynolds continued to do a good job, and so did Tyler Andrews. And Theo did look good in those jeans ๐๐ Steve and Alex's scenes were ok too. I guess it was time for their conversation to finally happen. But hopefully, it takes a long time and a lot of conflict before they finally all become the happy family that Steve was hoping that they become lol I had no use for EJ/Gwen though.

Today was very couple heavy. And not a Dimera in sight! Some couples were nice to see, some were just... ehhh ๐ Ari and Liam stood out to me the most. I like the dilemma that they're in, and her being so persistent and seductive with Liam is completely in character for her. I also like Liam's characterization. It feels like the classic soap trope of the bad boy with the heart of gold. And despite nuAri not exactly setting the world on fire for me, I do think that she and Liam have chemistry. Their kiss was kinda hot too lol but I do think they need to introduce another guy (Theo) into this storyline for Ari, which could further tie this storyline to Philip/Gabi and their storylines. Speaking of Philip/Gabi, they were sweet today. I just hope all this buildup is worth it for the moment when Gabi's secret finally comes out. Tate and Holly were ok too, even though Holly was a little annoying, especially with Sarah. I actually wouldn't mind the Choi's trying to get Holly charged for the online posts she made about Sophia. That could lead to something interesting happening. And I do think we should've seen Tate working in the dojo ๐๐๐ And I'm glad that Marlena had Belle to talk to about the will reading, and about everything else. In some ways, her scenes today felt like a closure moment for her/John and Stefano. And I agree with Marlena; as much as I liked Stefano, it's time to close the book on him. Marlena comforting Belle about Shawn was nice as well. I just think Shawn needs to be featured more in this storyline.

Dominic Zamprogna killed it today. This was the most I've enjoyed Dante in a while. And hopefully, Liz's questions at the end leads to her being further involved in the whole Willow/Drew mess

Today was a weird one. I can't really explain it. All the elements of a classic soap reveal and fallout were there, but it just felt weird, and handled in a very strange way. It also seemed a little too rushed. The writers, producers, etc. really should've taken more time with this. Gabi, Kristen and even Chad chiming in with random comments wasn't necessary either. But I did think that there was some good acting today, particularly James Reynolds. He really did sell it, and I am interested in seeing what's going to happen as a result of all this. I'll never be a fan of Lexie being brought back to life, but it could lead to a lot of good things happening for every character involved in this storyline And I actually did enjoy Gabi/Tony too. Days just really needs to kick her storyline into high gear and have the truth finally come out. It could also be really interesting if that got further tied to Theo, and everything going on with him as well. I still don't care about Kristen or Leo though. Just kill them both off.

Maybe. I sometimes wonder if they're allowed to ad lib during taping, or if the scripts are followed verbatim

Very odd, especially since most of the script writers wrote for Ron as well. Maybe it all comes down whoever's been editing the scripts lately.- DAYS: Heartbreak Hotel | promo (week of May 11, 2026)
They dropped it too quickly. Days could've gotten years of storyline out of Johnny cutting off the Dimeras and trying to put an end to their legacy as a way of getting some kind of justice for Sami, Marlena, John, Roman, etc. And trying to run Dimera into ground could've made EJ finally return Johnny's anger, and also could have weaved in Theo and Chad and their drama, caused problems for him and Chanel. The possibilities would've been endless. I also would've Johnny's actions be further amplified as a result of John's death.- DAYS: Heartbreak Hotel | promo (week of May 11, 2026)

I went back and rewatched, and I think youโre right. When I first saw it, I thought Theo was reading Stefanoโs own words- DAYS: May 2026 Discussion Thread
Welcome back, Tony and Anna! It's always good to see them, regardless of the circumstances. And despite the low energy of an episode lol. This whole 'Stefano's will' thing will always feel a little unnecessary, and definitely a few years too late, but I am somewhat interested in seeing if something good happens as a result of this. All this buildup better be worth it in a lot of ways, especially with Gabi's revelation, and Theo and Chad immediately taking her side against the family. As for Marlena's bequest... Idk Btw, I guess I can accept Stefano knowing about Stefan and Jake lol And as always, Leo was unnecessary. Even if I liked the character, he would've been unnecessary today. And Dimitri should definitely be the one going head to head with Cat about her being in the ISA. Regardless of Peter Porte, it just makes more sense for it to be Dimitri. And there are many more story opportunities if it were him doing it as well. But I have to admit, despite the low energy of the episode overall, and my dislike of the storyline, the cliffhanger with Lexie was really good. Hopefully, it isn't a fake out.- RIP: In Memoriam Thread

Congratulations Grandpa Justin! I'm glad that we got to see Justin find out that he's a grandfather again, and that he and Alex got to have that conversation about fatherhood. It was nice seeing their relationship on display. Their trip down memory lane, and their talk about Adrienne and how Stephanie is basically now in the same position that she was all those years ago was really nice as well. Sonny is still Justin's favorite though ๐๐ I guess because of Wally's schedule, we can't see him as much on Days, but I do appreciate that they at least try to make it work when they can. But since Alex brought it up today, I do think that he and Justin should each have a bigger part in Kate and Xander's lawsuit. I feel like that could help both of their own storylines progress a little in some way. Speaking of Kate, I did like her and Roman going head to head again. Despite being in the wrong, she took no crap again. Both about the lawsuit and about Marlena lol I'm still not a fan of the idea of a Kate/Roman/Marlena triangle, but it's always good to see these characters be used effectively. Kate being so friendly with Joy was a bit of a surprise to me, but I'm really, really glad that there was pretty much no mention of how they know each other so well. I wouldn't mind this friendship possibly causing problems for Kate and Roman as well. I also enjoyed Gabi vs. Ari over Liam. Ari brought up a pretty good point today about Gabi's hypocrisy, and I'm interested in seeing this all play out. I think we just need to see Liam more. And for Ari to get closer with another guy (Theo) while Liam continues to reject her. Pacing has always been the biggest issue with this storyline But Chanel vs. Joy felt a little unnecessary though. Their exchange was something that could've happened off screen, IMO- DAYS: May 2026 Discussion Thread
