  1. Welcome back, EJ! Too bad today was mostly about everything going on with the lab. I have mixed feelings about all of this, and I still stand by what I've said about Johnny being the one who should be trying to take down EJ. It just makes sense for it to be him based on everything that's happened between them. And while I enjoyed Johnny and Chanel today, that would be a much better storyline for the two of them than Chanel being pregnant again. Plus, if Johnny did end up taking EJ down, it could've led to more conflict between him and EJ, and the rest of the Dimera's as well. But it's always good to see Dimitri interact with other characters besides the two worst ones that he often gets stuck with. That needs to happen a lot more often. Peter Porte is too talented for the nonsense that he's given, both now and in 2023. EJ and Gwen's plan to try and frame Dimitri as being Peter's accomplice in the kidnappings could be interesting though. As pointless as the kidnapping ultimately was, I do like the idea of it having some kind of effect on future storylines. But I had no use for Kristen today, despite her scenes with Dimitri. She really needs to take her awful kid and leave Salem for good. As for Rafe/Cat, it did seem a little like they were chem testing the two of them again. I don't think it's gonna work though, if that's what the writers are actually going for lol but I am a little interested in seeing what happens once Rafe and Eli go to Alamainia. Btw, the cliffhanger ending would have been a lot better if it hadn't already been spoiled by the weekly promo 😂
  2. Agreed. There needs to be much higher stakes in both of these storylines. When it comes to the conflict, it's like the writers only scratch the surface a little instead of really going there with high stakes drama. I wouldn't mind all the scenes of talking, if a lot of those scenes just dissolved into full on arguments or fights. And I was hoping we would get a full on custody battle as well, if anything, just to use the courtroom set again, which at this point, seems like just a waste of money on an already cash strapped show. And honestly, the stalker thing should be tearing Alex and Stephanie apart, not bringing them closer together. You could've gotten so much drama out of Stephanie eventually coming around and thinking that Jeremy isn't the stalker, while Alex becomes more and more determined to prove that he is. Alex could even like use Sophia's mother or someone in order to get Jeremy fired from his teaching job. Even with the excuse that the writers gave us about basically being in a holding pattern until they heard news about the renewal, I don't get why their choosing not to go there with any storyline. It can't be a budget issue. He pleaded guilty to a lesser assault charge and got like community service or something.
  3. Thanks. So I guess that does happen on set. I just wish that it wasn't as obvious as it was in those scenes with Maggie.
  4. I mean, I had the feeling that the momentum was gonna drop off sooner or later but... goddamn 😂😂😂 Gio and Emma were great together, as always. And the tribute to TG was nice, but that's pretty much all I got for today. And I'm really, really hoping that Wes Ramsey doesn't do that hoarse whispering when he finally shows up as Stephanie's stalker on Days And just for old times sake, I'll leave this here 👍
  5. Didn't she also say that she didn't enjoy working the actor who played Kellam Chandler?
  6. Well, Hank Northrop did say be patient with Liam 😂 And while there's still a little too much Dimera in the show, I'm looking forward to seeing EJ's return
  7. A little odd that it's a new day in Salem, instead of having today's episode take place immediately after yesterday's, but I'm glad that we still got some follow up with Jeremy. Too bad that not much happened today though. But I thought Michael Roark did a good job. He hasn't gotten a chance to really show his acting chops in a while, and I'm glad that he got that chance today. And while I haven't been that big of a fan of this storyline, I'm interested in seeing what happens next and learning how the stalker knew to frame him, especially with the way that today ended. And yeah, he did look good too. They dress him like his cousins, Shawn and JJ 😂 And, I liked seeing Julie standing up for him and going head to head with Jada. Chad and Jennifer going head to head once again was pretty good as well. They work well together when they're at odds. And I like the drama of this storyline. It feels like realistic family drama, which is always good to see on a soap. Billy Flynn also works well with Cary Christopher, and we saw that again today. They've always felt like a real father and son, and I'm gonna miss seeing their relationship. Btw, I wonder if their conversation today means that this really is the end of Chad/Cat. And I love that Marlena got to discuss what happened at the book club, and how she felt, with Belle. It's interesting to see Marlena in this position, since she's usually the one helping people. I have mixed feelings about Belle suggesting that Marlena oversee Basic Black though. I really can't see her as anything but a psychiatrist, even if it is about preserving John's legacy. And then, we're expected to believe that those pearl clutchers love Leo 😂😂
  8. They tried after the first few months on Peacock, in 2023. But then things kinda fell back. Were people complaining or something?
  9. Hmmmm... a Theo/Gabi/JJ triangle? I can get behind that. It could be good and messy. Adding Philip into it (and also Days remembering that chem test between Theo and Arianna) could make it even messier. Plus, I still think there's more that can be done with Gabi and JJ. I was never a fan of them being completely broken up. And it would be a better use of Casey Moss, who needs much, much more to do. Honestly, he should be leading Days right now. I really enjoyed JJ's scenes with Theo though, and I'm glad that they were able to discuss and come to terms with everything that happened between them since Theo came back to Salem. I like that it wasn't dropped and that it came to a resolution, even though I wouldn't have minded the two of them continuing to be at odds. But I'm looking forward to seeing what happens, especially if they go there with them and Gabi. And they really should lol. Gabi and Philip's date was kinda sweet too. They haven't really set the world on fire as a couple, but I don't mind the two of them together. And with the secret of Gabi telling Tony about Philip's fraud hanging over them, it adds another dynamic to this potential mess with JJ and Theo. But I still say that Days is missing the mark with Stephanie and Alex. Even with the stalker, she shouldn't be so OK with the fact that Alex is trying to keep secrets from her and basically controlling her life. As a couple, they're boring and they need more to do. There's so much good conflict that can be mined from all of this, especially if they were pushing a feud/rivalry/hatred between Alex and Jeremy. Days made a big mistake by not having Alex confront Jeremy and get into a brawl with him or something once Stephanie told him about Jeremy being ambidextrous. Which, in turn could've caused more conflict between him and Stephanie. And, eventually would lead her to another man. Xander, perhaps? Speaking of Jeremy, as much as I think he's being wasted, I did enjoy his scenes with Julie today. They have a nice relationship and I liked that he has someone to talk to about how he's feeling. I think it helps us better understand his character. But just like with JJ, he needs much, much more to do. And hopefully that happens, now that Jada is bringing him in for questioning. And, we got an update about Bo and Hope! I do like that they're playing a part in Stephanie's stalker storyline. All the ingredients are there. They could definitely have said that Dimitri and Andrew had a fling when Dimitri was in the ISA. And was actually in love with Andrew but chose to do all that crap in Beyond Salem, rather than be with him. And now in the storyline, the two of them could be determined to take each other down, but just like with Shane and Ilya, their feelings for each other often take over 😉😂😂
  10. 100% agree If you ask me, Days could have had their own heated rivalry with Dimitri and Andrew, but sadly, that can't happen.
  11. I'd be a great test subject too. I'm one of the first ones there every morning 😂😂😂 And probably Ron Carlivati too, which would explain why RSW is still around 😂😂
  12. Maybe a shirt could've gotten ripped 😂😂😂😂
  13. Oh, that's goes without saying 😂😂 It's too bad though, because we could get a really good storyline of Maggie, Julie and Marlena all dealing with their grief and the two of them helping Marlena cope and learning how to deal with it, etc., but that dark cloud is gonna be hovering over them constantly, which is gonna hurt whatever story that Days runs with. Where do all these "tests" take place lol I've watched Days for most of my life and I've never even seen anything even related to testing.
  14. It happens sometimes 👍😂😂
  15. Totally here for Michael vs. Chase! Both the argument and the brawl. The brawl could've gone on a little longer though 😂😂 But Chase told Michael a lot of hard truths that he needed to hear lol I know GH is biased in favor of Michael, but let's be honest, he was a shitty husband sometimes. But I admit that I think Michael told him some truths too. Truths that might be foreshadowing of what's to come. And I can't wait to see it all play out 👍 Btw, Willow turning dark is definitely the shot in the arm that the character needed.
  16. Doesn't that go all the way back to the 90s?
  17. The campiness would probably rival Body&Soul 🤮😂😂
  18. Yeah... it's time for them to finally end this, whatever it is. 30+ years of friendship deserves a second chance. And honestly, they're both too old to carry around this much tension and animosity.
  19. As pointless as the interruption was yesterday, I gotta admit, I’m kinda liking this feeling of anticipation of getting home and watching today. Haven’t really felt that about an episode of GH in a while And about reading all about it on here 👍
  20. A Marlena/Maggie scene! They're so rare that it's always nice when we get them, regardless of the circumstances, and regardless of how chilly things seem to be between them when they're on camera together. The book club might not be the best idea in the world but I enjoyed the two of them and Julie coming together to discuss grief and how they've been feeling since they lost their husbands. Having Marlena be the one that was reluctant about the idea of the book club was a good choice, and I hope that gets explored a lot more. Marlena's grief should be front and center. I agreed with Julie and Maggie when they said that it was still too soon for her. Foster was a little unnecessary though. For a show that's so cash strapped, he seems like a character that could be easily cut to save a few dollars lol While I feel like Chad and Jack/Jennifer not having a full on custody battle for Thomas and Charlotte was a missed opportunity, I did enjoy their scenes at the mediation today. Everyone did a pretty good job, particularly Billy Flynn. And all their actions make sense based on everything that they've been through, even though I get why some people don't like Jennifer in this storyline. I liked seeing Chad go head to head with the two of them. Chad bringing up Jennifer's addiction to painkillers was a nice surprise but I would've liked to have seen a little more drama. That was a good start, but there needed to be more. Thomas still having doubts about Chad and the agreement could lead to something interesting happening as well. Speaking of Thomas, Jeremy comforting him was nice to see but yeah, Jeremy is being wasted. And I don't understand why he hasn't had a bigger part in Stephanie's stalker storyline since he's the obvious red herring.
  21. And I think he's gonna be celebrating 10 years at Days later this year. Maybe it is time for him to get a shot.
  22. I miss the days when soaps weren't preempted or interrupted for every stupid little thing. This makes me really thankful that Days is on Peacock. Don't forget to check your DVRs 👍
