Welcome back, Mark! He seems to be in the same boat as his brother, Aaron, where he could've added another interesting dynamic to the storyline that he's involved in. And it's too bad that he didn't get the chance. They both need to be used a lot more. I don't really have much of an interest in Mark and Cat possibly giving EJ's miracle drug to their mother in order to help her though. There are much better ways to use Mark, and Cat too. Honestly, finally killing off their mother would be a better story choice, IMO, because it could be used as the catalyst for something interesting to happen for the Greene siblings. I enjoyed Chanel/Paulina today though. Paulina is always at her best when she isn't so extra. And now that Paulina knows Chanel has cancer, hopefully Abe is there to comfort her, and be there for Chanel too. I've never been a huge Paulina fan but at this point, I do prefer Abe with her than Fake Lexie, who I felt just sort of dragged down those Carver family bonding scenes that we got today. This return is not working. And not just because it's pointless and unnecessary. I still think Chanel, and Johnny need a better storyline than what they've got now. But I'm glad that we got some follow-up with Philip and Gabi, and that Gabi now knows that it wasn't Theo who tipped Philip off. I don't see them as this endgame couple but I still think that the ship hasn't sailed for the two of them yet. I'm interested in seeing what happens for them, and for Theo, especially since they still have to work together. They seem to be writing Gabi more like a tragic heroine lately, and I don't mind it.

JJ and Javi! I hope Days builds up a friendship between them 😂 Looking forward to Xander/Sarah as always. Hopefully, whatever's going on with them this week is the thing that starts them on their road back to each other! And of course, Marlena/Belle/Brady on Thursday 😥

Ya know, I didn't like it when Uncle Ron tried to turn our soap into Days of our Leo or Days of our RSW, but now I'm starting to not like Paula/Jeanne trying to turn it into Days of our Dimeras I mean, I'm glad that it looks like Johnny and Theo are front and center, but EJ, Lexie, Kristen... I am looking forward to Xander/Sarah though, and whoever Stephanie's gonna end up shooting. And definitely, Dimitri!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 That's one Dimera that needs to be used a lot more. There's so much that can be done with him now that he's kicked Leo to the curb.

John 😢 I can't believe it's been a year since John's death already. Like Marlena said, it still feels like it just happened. I'm glad that today was mostly devoted to John, Marlena, their family and their storylines. It was the right decision to have them be front and center today. And I admit, I started to feel a little emotional during the scene of Marlena at John's grave. I wish it had gone on a little longer. Dee really gave it her all in that scene. But it was nice seeing her spend so much time with Brady and Tate. Marlena's spent so much time with her patients lately that it was refreshing to see her with her family. I still have mixed feelings about the whole Stefano's chess set thing but I'm interested in seeing what happens with it, especially since a pawn piece is missing. I wonder if it's going to end up meaning something. If it does, hopefully, it ends up involving the entire Evans-Black and their storylines somehow. Btw, we got a great opening scene too 😉😍 I still hope we see Tate actually spar or beat somebody up with his newly found martial arts skills someday 😂😂 And welcome back, Eli! It was nice seeing him reunite with Lani and Julie. I'm curious to see what's going to happen now that both he and Lani are back in Salem. As for Julie/Foster... Idk.

Welcome, Gus! I still don't see why this is necessary though, or how a show that supposedly has no budget can afford to keep hiring new actors, non-contract or not. Plus, I also don't see why Javi's new bf couldn't have been Dimitri. Or Mark. Or even Aaron. You can get a lot more drama and story opportunities from that. And I imagine Days could've saved a few dollars by using an already existing character to fill the role of Javi's bf. But I am kinda interested in seeing this all play out. And yeah, he's cute 😊😉 The one thing I'm not looking forward to in this storyline is more Leo, who once again, just came off like a creepy stalker today. Idk, maybe it's just the way Greg Rikaart plays it that annoys me more than anything (Sorry, Greg) But I did enjoy Gabi and Ari going head to head again today over Liam. They still look more like sisters than mother and daughter lol but I like the way this is all being built up. And I'm looking forward to seeing what Ari does now. And seeing the moment that she finds out the truth about why Liam left town. And while I'll never enjoy this Lexie storyline, one of the few good things I could say about it is that it's giving us good scenes of Abe and Theo together. I like the way Abe comforted him and that Theo had someone to talk to about how overwhelmed he's been feeling lately. It felt very realistic, to me. EJ and Lexie were pretty much FF material though. Btw, Shawn was in the hospital for three months for a measly little gunshot wound but Lexie, who was "dead" for 15 years or whatever is all ready to go home after just a few days? OK. 😂😂

Welcome back, Aaron! Despite the acting lol it was good to see him again and to finally get his perspective on everything that happened with Sophia. He really should have had a part in that storyline from the very beginning, not only for Sophia but for Tate and Holly as well. He could've added an interesting dynamic to it. But I'm glad that he was finally included... and also got to have a scene with his baby's grandparents. Ari comforting him was nice as well. And, it was definitely good to see Daddy Choi again 😍😍😍 Hopefully, he continues to have a part in the storyline, especially since he and Amy seem so divided over Tate and Holly, and because Amy is gunning for Holly. I'm also glad that Gabi finally confronted Theo about her suspicions. Cherie did a good job in those scenes and I'm interested in seeing what happens for Gabi now. I still think Theo actually should've been the one to expose the secret though. You can get more drama out of that, and having Anna, a character that we barely see, just randomly do it was a mistake. That was a bit of a letdown, IMO. It really is too bad that this Lexie thing basically derailed Theo's part in this storyline. And while I think that Marlena is being used effectively, I think she should be spending more time with her grandsons right now as opposed to another patient. At the moment, I think they both need her more lol hopefully they'll have a part in whatever happens with Marlena and the chess set. Btw, I liked Holly/Julie's scenes and Julie using her own history to comfort Holly, but I think they got the history wrong about Julie/David/Susan.

Poor Chanel I still don't see why giving Chanel cancer is necessary. Chanel and Johnny had a great story last year, and the effects of that still could have been playing out now. I would much rather be seeing that. Plus, it's just a better conflict for the two of them than this. And way better than Johnny/EJ vs. Tony/Gabi. I imagine that Raven Bowens is going to do a really good job though. She did today. Jennifer/MR did a good job today as well. It was nice to see her finally try to make peace with Cat, even though I was on Jennifer's side the whole time she was so anti-Cat. And she got to have a scene with Conner's Chad as well, who's continuing to kill it. I like that he hasn't changed Chad's characterization at all. It allows the storyline to progress on the same path that it's always been on. And I am kinda interested in seeing what happens with him, and Cat/EJ. I'm still not shipping either potential couple though. Neither of them interest me all that much. And it's always good to see Marlena in therapist mode, except for when she's with Leo lol. But her and Xander still work well together. And I like that he finally admitted to somebody that the only reason he's with Gwen and Kristen is because he can't be with Sarah. As for Alex/Joy... whatever 😂😂😂

Ehhhh... he's grown on me... except for the facial expressions 😂😂 Some people on here were suggesting Scott Clifton would be a good Philip, but I wonder if anybody else could be good in the role That's the only difference 😂😂

A lot of hotness in today's episode 😍 Too bad that Remy and Deke couldn't be a part of it 😂😂😂 And yeah, Hope will be back at Forrester by the end of the summer. You'd think that a show that has the budget to put on a big party with a ton of extras would also have the budget to not be so predictable and repetitive.

All the more reason we could see recurring Casey Moss and Brandon Beemer more than we do. It’s getting to the point that the two of them are in a similar situation to Becky Herbst 😂

Lmaooooo what a mess This is definitely on the writers, or producer(s) They never knew what to do with Kristina. It was almost like her character changed with every head writer team. And I’m guessing that somebody quit caring after he couldn’t get his Kristina/Lucky dream pairing off the ground. And as much as I’m enjoying Rory Gibson, I don’t think the de-aging of Michael helped all that much either.

So, Sophia’s service is gonna be at the Pub? OK 😂😂😂 I still don’t like Amy all that much but I have to admit I don’t dislike her as much as I used to. And I’m a little interested in seeing what happens in this storyline, especially now that they’ve cast Sophia’s father and because I don’t believe for a second that Sophia is actually dead. But welcome back, JJ! It was great to see him and to see him get caught up with his family, especially Shawn. I thought the acting was pretty good in all his scenes as well. I’m interested in seeing what’s going to happen for JJ now that he’s planning on being an EMT again. Maybe he’ll be partnered up with Javi and they can end up being used in each other’s storylines lol JJ needs to be used a lot more and more effectively. And I wouldn’t mind Shawn helping Jada with the whole Sophia investigation either. That would be a better use of him too. And I like that we got some more follow up with Philip and Gabi. The reveal wasn’t that good but hopefully the aftermath will be better. I’m glad that Philip had Brady to talk to. And I wouldn’t mind the aftermath of Gabi’s reveal being tied to more of the Kiriakis family storylines, especially since Gabi was the one who gave Gwen a pep talk about Xander, and about his feelings for her and for Sarah. And also, now that Xander is moving back into the Kiriakis mansion. I always enjoy him and Sarah going head to head, even though Sarah, and Brady too, were kinda bitchy to him today. I still say that this storyline needs someone better for Xander to be with. Someone that Sarah can actually be jealous about, and gets her to realize that she does still love Xander. And I still think that someone is Stephanie, which would also weave in everything going on with her, Alex and Joy. Everything should be tied together in one big mess. Btw, Gwen was dressed like she got in to Kristen’s dominatrix wardrobe 😂😂 And, did they change the Small Bar set again? It looks different
