That’s B&B biggest flaw: plot driven storylines that come out of nowhere, change character for a little while, etc., only for everything to get wrapped up in a few months and go back to normal. It just feels so lazy to me

I think her problem is that she could be a little hypocritical at times, like when Haley Pullos was having her health and legal problems.

I got the impression that he was hoping to finally put an end to that toxic Dimera legacy. He did mention Stefano was responsible for the death of his and Kristen’s biological father. I actually was kinda hoping that Johnny would’ve tried to do something like that after he found out the truth about his conception. Not murder though lol

That’s what people have speculated about all this time: that part of the deal to get MR back in 2000 was basically to erase Peter Blake from existence, which really seems to have stuck since only the last few years. I don’t even remember him being mentioned when Eileen Davidson came back in 2012. Maybe now, they just don’t even want to risk dredging up the past and possibly causing a problem on set, especially now that Jack and Jennifer are being used more than they were during Ron’s last few years. Which may be why MA’s Jack hasn’t had any reaction either. Just my guess, even though I think it’s a huge missed opportunity

I had the same problem when old Rachel was revealed to be alive; she hated Stefano but was acting just like him. But I do think Peter’s return and plan has more potential though. His motivation does make sense. It’s just the whole crypt thing wasn’t the right choice. It would’ve been nice to at least have them say something in the episode when Chad was finally reunited with his kids. But I do have to admit that I sometimes thought that, if Days ever did bring Peter back, Jack and Jennifer would have no involvement with him whatsoever. Which really stinks, even considering the circumstances. I guess it all goes back to whether or not Corday and Missy Reeves have an arrangement or something.

So, we finally saw that “dud” that was described in the promo. And unfortunately, it looked like that also described today as a whole 😂😂😂 Today was mostly centered around Brady/Kristen/Rachel, which I didn’t find all that interesting. The ship has still sailed for Bristen, even though I’m glad that they finally realize that their kid is awful and needs help. And as for Sophia, I guess we all know what she’s gonna try to do. And it seems very Ron-like. Sophia and Rachel teaming up seems Ron-like, in general. I did enjoy Kristen’s scene at Peter’s bedside though. She brought up some good points today about Peter that I hope get explored in 2026. Peter’s return hasn’t been all that good, IMO, but if they continue on this path of Peter being so anti-Dimera, that might improve it a little. And we got an update about Sydney. I wonder if her being so panicked about the kidnapping is going to mean something somewhere down the line.

They take their time, unlike the other soaps (except Days, for the most part) Sometimes, in GH’s case, it’s a little ridiculous, but also, like yesterday, taking that time leads to a good payoff. I mean, if I got to kiss Giovanni Mazza, I’d really go for it too 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Sounds good to me 😂 And besides, sex, being disgusting and selfish, and constantly talking about Sonny does not make you a good couple. Doesn’t make you a couple at all, actually

For a show that’s not very romance heavy, today was full of romance and I really enjoyed it. Especially Gio and Emma 😊😊😊 Their kiss was hot too 😉😂 Today also reminded me of why I enjoyed Jason/Britt so much back in 2021. They’ve really screwed up Britt’s return, and today almost felt like a correction of that. This is how Britt’s return should have been written from the very beginning. I have to admit, I am a little interested in Lulu/Nathan too. And also seeing what’s going to happen for Curtis/Jordan/Portia. Carly/Valentin kinda make me cringe though 😂😂

The fact that I’m coming up with story ideas for Leo is making me kinda sad 😂😂😂

Welcome back, Anna! I'm so glad that we got to see her reunion with Tony. They're so good together. And I'm also glad that Tony is keeping his word to her about not stepping in as CEO of Dimera, mostly because of what it could lead to for Johnny, Chanel and everybody around them. His and Chanel's talk about it was really good too. I still say that Johnny should be the one investigating what EJ is doing at the lab and I'm also not too sure about Chanel's pregnancy either, but there's so much opportunity for conflict here and I hope that Days runs with it. They deserve to be one of the core couples that's featured in front burner storylines. And besides, Johnny working at Dimera is a much better job for him than as a college professor. I'm all for Kate teaming up with Xander at Titan as well, mostly because of what it could lead to. It could lead to good family drama that could involve so many Kiriakises and I think Paul Telfer would kill it if he has to play Xander being torn between making Titan a stronger, more powerful company and doing something that could possibly affect Maggie. Not to mention the effect that it could have on his relationship with Sarah. Plus, I'd rather see Kate in this position than as a jealous teenager lol Bonnie's novel being a part of this storyline seems a little unnecessary though. But Javi and Leo were boring, and the shades of green that they were wearing were atrocious. I am looking forward to Friday though 😉 And yeah, he still doesn't deserve Gwen's forgiveness.

I prefer Marlena just be single now, just like Maggie and Julie. It wouldn't feel right to have her move on with anyone, even if they gave us a storyline where we knew a potential relationship was only going to be temporary (Hi Konstantin! 🤮) Plus, we don't need Kate to suddenly regress to acting like a jealous teenager. As a character, I think she's earned her happily ever after with Roman.

Poor Marlena. But I'm glad that she had someone to really talk to about this being her first Christmas without John. We definitely need more scenes of Marlena having these conversations with other characters. Tbh, that would have been a much better storyline for Marlena than her having Lyme disease. And it was nice to see Roman get out of the Pub for a little while. I don't, for a second, think that we're getting a Roman/Marlena/Kate triangle though. Speaking of Kate, I also enjoyed Kate's reunion with her sons and seeing all of them catch up. And, we got an update about Will! I didn't expect Lucas to reveal that he has a new gf though, which is too bad because he and Sami could still be endgame to me. Plus, just like with Sami, what's the point of it all if he's not sticking around full time? And I still think that Philip being so crazy about Gabi doesn't exactly ring true to me. I don't mind them as a couple, but if that's what Days was going for, they needed to do a better job at establishing it. We should be seeing them, as a couple, a lot more. I wonder if Gabi finding out about Stefan's "death" is going to affect the two of them somehow. I liked the way that Philip comforted her today. And I did laugh a a little when Kate said that One Stormy Night was the most popular novel in America 😂

Finally got around to watching that 1981 episode, and it's still a little crazy to me how different Days became just a few months later. Pat Falken Smith's second run only lasted six months, and we're still enjoying the effects of that six months almost 45 years later. It's too bad that things didn't work out for Gregg Marx. In addition to being very handsome, he just has such a likable onscreen presence to me. Btw, Jessica was a total mouse 😂😂
