  1. When alan did the mass 4th of July stream..both Maureen and Amelia were happy to see one another...and both wanted to speak more in depth..and Alan said he would arrange it. About time:)
  2. I saw a bit of it...Nancy S being punched by a fan lol. I hope to one day see her dual turn as Adrienne and Felicia.
  3. My mom said when PSM started playing Fallon...she had good will with the audience since she had been Nancy Drew a few years earlier. That goodwill served her well. PSM gave depth to Fallon. While Emma Samms was inferior..she still leaps better than the current actress playing Fallon
  4. Would it have worked better if it were Pat Matthews in the spin off vs Iris? She and reena didn't like one another on AW..and the show had hinted at Reena's husband liking Pat before spin off started.
  5. I never thought about it before, but original recipe Nicole was exactly like Vicky. Misguided, impulsive and full of spirit. Vicky did end up filling the function of Nicole...so I can see why the character was adjusted changed. The 2nd Nicole seemed like a good idea...wise, logical and learning from her mistakes...which the Love family could have used.
  6. I always thought Claire should of returned after Eve had passed away in 1995...and we could have gotten some good drama out of Ed/Holly/Fletcher reacting to Claire while Michelle is naturally guarded about Claire for numerous reasons.
  7. Holly becoming the Nursery rhyme stalker kind of made sense..had the writers looked at her history..it made sense. Abandoned by her dad as a baby, never really dealt with that trauma hence why she was not an effective mom, plus was raped by a man she did love, felt guilt for loving her rapist, than thought she got a 2nd chance at motherhood..and when she blew it...she lost both her husband and daughter....so she snapped.
  8. I do notice when a new EP came on back in the day..the show seemed to do a reset (for the better). A good EP can't do much without a good writer..and a good writer can't do much without a good EP. I think the recent practice of a handwriter being an EP as well is not a good practice.
  9. Even if this is true, firing Teddi won't fix the show since she isn't the problem. Sure she's boring and most of the time we forget she's around. But on her own, she isn't toxic. We still have Kyle and Rinna.. so nothing will have changed..tbh.
  10. I think Marie Wilson would have worked better as a recast Ellie...she was all wrong for Meg..imho
  11. I liked Paul's parents...they were relatable and fit into the rare niche of a true blue middle class family that soaps never seemed to portray well.
  12. I wonder if he interjects on purpose or he's one of those people that can't read a room? If there is silence, I can see him interjecting...but a lot of the time..he will do it when the conversation is flowing. Thank gosh Colleen came in..and took over asking questions because it seemed to be more natural for her to ask them because she knew all three well. And losing a child and going through a divorce...I think these reunions have been a godsend for Colleen...so I welcome her coming on and talking a lot.
  13. Once Colleen came on...she took over some of the interviewing. Ming.and Melanie were funny talking of match making their kids:)
  14. So Denise hinted at text messages between herself and rinna...curious what they could be about. Longer Rinna is on the show, the more Kim's season 5 remarks become accurate
  15. What's ironic is that Donna used Cecile to come between Sally and Peter. Once Jennifer Runyan left..and the following 2 recasts changed the character of Sally...it seemed like Sally's function in the Donna/Peter/Cass orbit fell to Cecile....since Cass and Peter were both interested in Jennifer Runyan's Sally (both characters started around the same time]
  16. Shame it's a lousy host..but Nancy Stafford would be cool to hear from since this was her first role.
  17. Maybe it's time for Andy to go..because he seems to have lost whatever instincts he once had. I do like when people answer his questions in a way he doesn't like or expect. Like when Taylor Armstrong and later Dakota Fanning said during season 5 that Brandi was played out...and he could barely contain his shock and annoyance. With Covid-19 still in full swing, people losing their jobs, possibly the roof over their head....the current format will wear thin and more people will opt not to watch spoiled wealthy women fighting over petty things.
  18. Lu and Sonja have been there for years..have each provided memorable content , stirred drama and have earned their checks. Leah has had 1 season under her belt and thinks she's entitled to a big raise? Um...no.. Tinsley carried the 1st half of the season quite nicely while Ramona/Dorinda handled the second half.
  19. Ugh...was this recast of MJ accepted? I certainly wouldn't have accepted her...she seems ditzy and needy... Wow...Kim Zimmer before she started chewing scenery. She's pretty good as Nola.
  20. the 1st 2 episodes of Loving didn't have Marland's trademark stilted dialogue. It actually flowed and there was some energy on the show as well. I wonder if Nixon had a hand in micro managing the scripts and that's why it didn't have Marland's usual flaws in his day to day episodes?
  21. The Donovan's seemed nice with a matriarch that wasnt perky or annoying (like Bea Reardon and Emma Snyder). For people that viewed the soap back in the day, were Jack and Stacy always meant to be end game..or was the plan Jack/lily with Stacy meant for a future character?
  22. I didn't mind the lack of interaction because it's realistic. Some soaps (like ATWT in the Marland era) had too much interaction. On the one hand, when characters did end up interacting..it was a welcome surprise and would led to new stories. I was pleasantly surprised when Annie and Caitlin started interacting...and it led to some good storylines with Annie/Gregory/Olivia. And Sean Kanan's character came on in the last few months..and was tested with Sara, Caitlin, and Annie..and had scenes with Casey/Cole. So it seemed like the show was starting to correct it. On the other hand, I do wish Virginia had been allowed to mix it up with other characters. She had some interaction with Gabi and Casey..but she was islanded off by herself unless it was with Michael and Vanessa. And I think bringing Maria back helped with bridging the gap since she was friends with Annie, married to Ben, was related to Ricardo/Antonio, knew the Richards, etc.
  23. LVP.and family need to ditch California and move on over to Texas when this is over to start over. Less rules, semi lower costs, and OTT fashions at a lower cost
  24. A pre Victor Nikki...I wish more episodes of that era were shown.
