King's Crossing (1982)
From those that watched the show...was this an actual soap...or a more intense Eight is Enough/Family show?

My problem with Alan is his timing with interjecting when someone is in the middle of a story. A good host knows when to interject and when to let the conversation flow. I find when it's about a show he has no connection with, he doesn't say much. I think he let Susie Pratt go off about GL cause it was before his time..same with Sharon G about AW and Holly G about OLTL. And in his SFT one..Marcia and Michael spoke and in some cases had more knowledge of soaps than Alan did.

Dark Shadows Discussion Thread
Leviathan story had that one episode where Liz laid into her no good hubby Paul in his hotel room. The show had some good scenes, but not a lot of follow through during that era.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOP: Karen isn't all that. She shouldn't shade Robyn on how she looks without looking in a mirror herself. Candice and Monique should both be dropped, or downgraded. Wendy can stay another season..she says so many stupid things that it's funny seeing others poke fun at her. RHOC: Shannon seems sad still, but man Brownie's son is a prick (just like his parents). And is anyone surprised Sophie opted for Texas for college..anyone? Emily is 2 faced...but this is the same woman that's friends with Gretchen, Lizzie and Tamra. Didn't she not like anyone speculating on her relationship with Shane..yet now she's doing it to Elizabeth? Elizabeth reminds me of Vicki..if she didn't scream or woohoo all the time. Her Indiana Jones style hat was interesting.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I get early OC vibes with SLC...with the women in scenes in their day to day lives...plus some fun friend scenes. Jen: I don't like her. Money doesn't help with lonliness... and I'm not surprised hubby and kids are not around. Heather: baby shower idea was fun, and I like that she's struggling with how she was raised and how she can raise her daughters. Her hubby did her wrong. Lisa: I like the family scenes with her and her sons..plus the subtle shade she throws at Whitney. Meredith: her son was right...Jen was being inappropriate. She seems nice so far..and I guess she's Switzerland. Whitney: she seems sweet..not much focus on her tonight. Mary: she is interesting..wouldn't say I like her...but her backstory is interesting. My impressions after a watching episode 3 of SLC.

It sounds like 1978 was another transition year of sorts for the show. I had never seen heard of the Larkins before...but I also had no idea Andy had an ex wife when he was dating Jill in 1981/82..who was being tested with Lucas. Bill Bell seemed to introduce characters and gradually worked them into the show. If they clicked, they became leads...if they didn't.. they faded back into the woodwork.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think given the current climate..maybe the women should be dressing more casual instead of over the top. I heard either this week or next..we might get some Dallas news. Andy cohen is excited about season 5...but he is currently singing Leah and Brownie's praises so I don't trust his judgement. RHOC: Kelly says stupid things. Shannon doesn't let things go. Brownie is draining and her hubby is creepy. Gina is funny...and at least she owns her own house. Emily...well...Shane is a saint to put up with her. Elizabeth is interesting to me. @TaoboiI also get Vicki vibes from her..a more low key vicki

Kelly and saying something stupid go hand in hand. Brownies son seems sweet... so unlike his parents. Not a bad debut, but I think the dark haired wig would look better with his skin tone. I was hoping he would have chosen that wig. Shannon's daughter Sophie was the one that David gave the wedding ring to when he wanted to end things years ago. So makes sense she has the perspective she does. And she's right about her mother.

Look into the past - 1975
Wouldn't Jill of been kind of an Abby? Came from working class roots, married, schemed and also had business acumen to become successful...and was a single mom?

I'm late for the party. Jen: seems fun to hang with..wouldn't want to be married to her nor work for her. Heather: Hot mess, but in a fun way. Lisa: A snob that likes Taco Bell. Although I thought all of them in the car spending time together as they got fast food would count as quality time. Meredith: marriage issues galore. Her son seems to be her surrogate spouse. Even so, not the oddest vibe on the show. Mary: Blunt like Sheree from rhoa with an odd dress sense like Kim Richard's. Her and her step grandpa makes Meredith and her son's interactions seem conventional. Whitney: Seems sweet so far. Interesting backstory. Will see what future episodes bring.

Another Life
The first 69 episodes basically dealt with rich girl Miriam spreading rumors about goody goody Lori. Miriam becomes the breakout character...imho

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
If lizzie's appearance this season was an audition..she failed. Alexis, I'd be happy to see back even if part time. She has a new man, plus her children were adorable. Tamra needs to sit out for another season. If they ask her back so soon, she'll get a Nene sized ego..and that won't be pretty. Kelly and Brownie need to go. What I like about the OC is that they add and subtract cast members every season. I wish NJ and Potomac would do that a bit more.

Search For Tomorrow Discussion Thread
The last few months of Search seemed to have a nice focus and tone. Stu/Jo got renewed focus and they were a huge part of the Ella Hobbs story ( a good against type performance by Ann Flood). So when the show ended, it was in a good place (last scene was a perfect ending for the show). Walsh/Long couldn't have the show, but they ended the show with dignity unlike ATWT or GL

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm not sure, tbh. I think the one that's authentic, has a story to tell outside the group is who I would keep. Or I would down grade both to friend status so we can see them at events...and neither would be required to be there all the time. If both stay on...it'll be a rinse lather and repeat situation (the show is close to it already with the predictable antics of Karen, Giselle, etc.) After Porsha and Kenya's season 6 reunion behavior on rhoa, I wanted both downgraded..because I feared a rinse, lather and repeat situation would happen...and now in season 13..it's the same thing with them both. Rhoc had that with Tamra/Gretchen...Vicki/tamra/shannon....and now with Shannon/kelly. Sometimes you have to break the cycle up. rhod had that with Leeanne for 4 seasons...now I'm excited for season 5 to see how her departure will change the landscape of the show.
