I do recall IR's run..she was fighting an attraction to Noah..but did have one scene where she was gleeful at Julia being jealous of her being around Noah. I think the show's reason for recasting was to take the character in a new direction. Wonder what that even means lol

To be honest, I can't imagine Leah being any less likable than in her debut season. She and Ramona/Sonja look to be the same age

Dolan at least had a dry sense of humor..that was more dead pan than what Colin and Bailey-Smith had. I think the PTSD story with Margo was what drove away the last of Margo's humored zest. Holmes was handsome, but sexy isn't what I would have used to describe his Tom. I could have seen Emily going for Marx's Tom though I do think Marland lost the ability to write humor and banter. Look what he ended up doing to Shannon before she was 'killed' off. I never saw a lot of humor on his ATWT...everyone was so earnest like a Thomas Kinkaide photo.

Maybe brandi is out? Or maybe adding a 6th housewife to the 5 already on?

Makes the Ashley mental hospital scenes from the mid 80s look glamorous. 1974 scenes..moody and psychological..as if Ingmar Bergman was directing

Tess vs Sydney had potential on the City....and I think Tess being buddies with Jacob..but she/Angie not liking one another was another element not explored. I would have bought out Heinle's contract instead of having her appear and leave 2 months into the new show. At the same time, she and Tony had a good rapport while her new friendship with Azure had promise.

Agree...Eve brought spark to the story...and even provided an interesting conflict to the Jeff/Vicki story with resolving who he was. Sadly with moltke's departure cut short the Eve being killed angle. He and Carolyn made an interesting match..and provided her character with a touch more depth (looking beyond surface to what's inside).

Wasn't the series originally about Van and Meg...opposites in every way? I know the show changed locales and focus several times..but at the heart was about Van. I do admit being intrigued to see what Ann Marcus had in mind..because she was resolving the stories she inherited...and was slowly starting new ones (Dana Delaney as a possible illegitimate child of Van's husband was one story starting).

Maybe by the 3rd or 4th season..that would have workes... but not in 1976 when it started. I view Family as the series 7th Heaven wished it was..but never could be.

Jackie puts on this front like she's not scared of anything..yet is all talk...no action. I get being upset by a rumor..but the way she's acting...is she hiding something? Her hubby did slim down..and I've seen some comments on his shirtless pics were positive (pre season)... so I could see her being insecure already..and than the rumors put her over the edge. If she isn't careful..she could end up being like the main character in Kate Bush's 'Babooshka'

She was the better Ashley. She could be sarcastic like Davidson, but was more likable/warm. And she did play a breakdown scene before she left. rivaled Davidson's breakdown scenes. I couldn't imagine the whole Adam gaslighting plot being played by her nor going back to Victor over and over..nor spermgate either. I will say I could have seen her play the Brad marriage, cancer and reaction to his affair with Olivia.

DALLAS Tifffany and Dandra bonded due to their moms. I did like Dandra bringing up the medium and haunted house to Brandi during their discussion. Silent Jen spoke. Kam is so wishing she was Elle Woods Kary was human tonight..but liked her daughters talking head basically saying her mom isn't logical and her sister is lol

I think Long would have done well with Lisa...and she would have done well with John Dixon. Not sure about Bob...though I think she would have positioned Bob/Kim the same way she positioned Ed/Maureen..as tentpole characters. The one character on GL that I wish Long had the chance to write would have been rita.

I agree, except I don't see her writing out the Snyder's. She wrote the Reardons quite well in her 1st stint (and she had said would have kept writing for them if they didn't opt to leave). I think she would have done well with the Snyder's and probably not isolated them as much. Connor Walsh would so have been a character Pam Long would have excelled at writing...and I think Cal Stricklyn as well. I could have seen her thinking of him like a Billy Lewis type of character. I'm curious how she would have written the Hughes family. I actually think she would have fit better on AW...she was all about friendships..and that show had that in spades

Eboni is what NY needs...shame the network and Cohen thought it was Leah. Eboni will be to season 13 of NY like Kenya was to season 5 of Atlanta and Shannon was to season 9 of OC. Just my prediction.

Marland was a snooze on The Doctors...and it did help with my insomnia when watching his stint. His GL rode the wave of the Dobson's..and I think he quit before he completely sapped GL of its energy.

Erica giving Janet a makeover pre well story during those first weeks on the show before she went crazy

One lost opportunity in 1991 with the Janet story was not having Erica be the one to.give Janet a makeover...in order to stick it to Natalie. You know Erica would have viewed Janet as a project..and in no way a threat to her beaut.

Quite frankly Marland may have been a good start writer..but his show were just dull and kind of stuffy. Long had energy and emotion in her writing. It's why I think they would have worked well with one another..balancing each other out.

They would have made an excellent team....shame it never came to be

I found Brooke to be a privileged rich girl...and very judgmental. So I loved when Erica would burst her balloon. And other than a few menm..she always took Erica's leftovers.

Barbara Montgomery was a close second in terms of being a good adversary. In some cases..a better one because she wasn't trying to be a goody 2 shoes like Brooke. Of the younger women...I would Annie and Erica had some good verbal exchanges...along with Jamie Lunar's Liza.

Janet/Erica hiding Kinder's body was so genius..and both hated Brooke...with good reason. I always rooted for Erica when she was opposite Brooke..tbh

Nina was the one person to make Christine likable. I'm excited to see her in the lifetime movie...she's perfectly cast in it. And shame Lauren isn't on as much...she and Paul need to reunite

It would have been nice to have both Sherry and Elizabeth there.
