I recall Bill Bell stating when he broke up Victor and Nikki in the late 80s..that he wouldn't reunite them unless he knew they were going to stay together. He said reuniting and breaking up constantly diminishes a couple...and he was so right. Was he the one to have Victor marry Nikki in 1998 on her death bed..causing her to pull through..or was that Alden?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
So OC ratings are down so far...and while I think Vicki/Tamra not being there is a small part of it...it isn't the main reason. I think Kelly is the reason ratings are down due to her comments and just overall toxic behavior. I did like Gina saying people should just fast forward Kelly's parts when she was asked about it. I do wonder if the show is renewed for season 16..would the show cut Kelly? Ratings are down.and fans have said they're boycotting because of her. As I've said before, Tamra is missing and it is noticable. I think she and newbie Elizabeth would hit it off..imho. Plus, I'm intrigued with Shannon and Tamra's falling out..since it appears at the start of filming they were still talking.

The fact everyone shares that view will ensure a season 6 pick up for her....sad but true

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Early Iva had more spirit...but like Marland's writing starting to become more somber..so did Iva's character. One thing I did like about Marland was that he continued the elements put there by Bledsoe (Lily and Shannon's bond, Lucinda/Craig/Sierra, Sierra's common sense approach to Lily and Lucinda's conflicts).

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Early Marland had an energy that peetered out by 1987/1988. I noticed on GL and ATWT, he successfully maintained the tone set forth by his predecessors..but overtime the tone changed. With ATWT, Bledsoe had a slightly quirky energy in her writing (I've seen interviews with her..and she reminds me of Shannon on ATWT)...which Marland maintained. Problem was he lost the ability to balance the darker tone with the energy of his early tenure. Labine had that issue at GH after awhile as well.

Wow..one of the rare times Robyn thinks for herself. If Gizelle was a true friend, she would welcome honest feedback from her bestie.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I don't like Brownie...she isn't fun nor enjoyable to hate. She's just draining to watch. Tamra was a backstabber, but she owned it. Yet, she was also fun to watch. Plus, her family scenes humanized her (my late mom remarked when Tamra had her 1st grandchild..she was almost human..not a disciple of Satan).

Kandi is not one to mess with....though both Kenya and Kandi would make a fun feud:) RHOC Can we trade Brownie for Tamra?

Hopefully the stars will take the lead like on some of the telecasts.

So I watched some clips of Potomac..and I'm wondering if maybe Kyle/Teddi should have watched Gizelle/Robyn and taken notes. Two messy women that stir the pot, yet are entertaining in their capers. Also, Robyn is striking.

My favorite Atlanta housewife 'friend of' was Mynique. She was so sweet and naive...she made Cynthia look tough in comparison lol

The Doctors Discussion Thread
Imagine if Kim had shown up. Poor Marie and Jada wouldn't have gotten a word in. I told Alan in a comment to do reunions with new people and give the divas a rest. Tech issues aside, the 1st doctor reunion seemed more fun with Anna, Nancy, Jonathan and one of the Billy's. Plus the actor that played Luke.

Any Capitol Fans Here?
Capitol would have been better to have kept Slesar as headwriter, but I guess affiliates dropped the show causing the ratings to drop..and he.was blamed and axed. His and Peggy O'shea's stints were the strongest, Corrington's was so-so (they fixed the stories not working so I bbn viewed them more as interim writers).. lipton was plot driven while the creators stint was boring.

I think with each state having different covid rules, you'll see different types of shows. Since CA had the strictest rules, I'm hearing all 6 barely interact together once they resumed filming. TX had somewhat more relaxed rules..so I'm interested to see how that plays out on Dallas. GA had the most relaxed of rules..so I'm guessing group interaction will be consistent with pre covid. NJ and NYC..I'll be interested to see how they handle filming with the pandemic restrictions

Dark Shadows Discussion Thread
I would show contemporaries her pic..and both men and women would remark at how beautiful she was. My mom followed the scandal at the time and knew she looked familiar..but she was going by Isles at the time not Moltke. When DS came back in 1991..she saw an article with her pic and instantly remembered her from the scandal.

Shame Alexandra Moltke says away from doing much with it..but I can understand why based on the Claus and Sonny scandal.

Edge of Night (EON) (No spoilers please)
I have started watching some of the Sleasar era...and surprised that Draper/April were the focus..with Raven more supporting. Raven/April seem more like foes than friends at least in the 1980 episodes I'm watching. Emily Michaels seems so tragic..I know what happens to her....but seeing these early episodes, I feel sorry for her. And Cliff seems more jolly and comedic than during the Slesar era (I think he and Mitzi should have left together since she was given nothing to do after he left).

I think Catherine Hickland helped organize it...and that's when she found out about Todd Curtis. All three had great stories from the show and outside the show.

Saved By the Bell
I'm glad she's doing better. I know she had said she was hurt not being asked, but understood on some level that what she had would have made it difficult for them to ask.

Any Capitol Fans Here?
My favorite of Alan's interviews because he pretty much was quiet through most of it. I'm sensing a pattern that the half-hour soaps were closer knit and more like a family (TEON, Search, Loving, and now Capitol seem to confirm this).

Marlo works best as a friend. 5 housewives is the way to go. 6 is also ok...but 7 or more is way too much.
