GH: October 2026 Discussion Thread

I definitely don't seem they got the casting for Serena right but in general, my struggle with GH in recent months, is that they don't feel committed to anything. I feel like I'm watching a brainstorming session. Every week it seems like we get a new character or story and they seem to be throwing a million things at the wall to see what sticks. Unfortunately, I've found very little to be compelling.
Hopefully by November they've figured out the direction they want to go and the stories start to flow better.

Dynasty Discussion Thread

I actually saw The Colbys before I saw Dynasty, so Emma Samms was the first Fallon I saw. I discovered the primetime soaps via SOAPnet and they had The Colbys for many years before adding Dynasty. My take on Fallon is that nobody, including Pamela Sue Martin could make her interesting based on how she was written.
The only seasons I found Fallon interesting were 1-2 and 8-9 with 1 & 9 being her best. On The Colbys I always viewed her as a comedy character because they wrote her as such a pitiful victim. I loved laughing at the dramatic things they'd put her through but I never took her seriously.

All My Children Tribute Thread

I believe the detail was an initial on a purse - a 'W' for Wallingford. The person was viewing it upsidedown, however; it was an 'M' for Marian.

Build A Character

If you had the chance to build a character (or characters) from an existing character that the writers never did much with/dismissed/never brought back/on etc... or create a new character from scratch.

Brooks Prentiss (Y&R)...........Brooks the son of Lance Prentiss and Leslie Brooks. Stepson/nephew of Lucas Prentiss & Lorie Brooks. Brooks is a devastatingly handsome charming business mogul and the head of Prentiss Industries. He is very alpha and appreciates the good life. He wears tailor made/designer clothes, drives fancy cars, has his own private jet and yacht. He likes fine wine, cuisine, expensive cigars and most of all good sex. A beautiful woman always catches his eye and is rarely without one on his arm. Brooks hits town and quickly ruffles Victor's feathers and they become enemies. He is not afraid of him and sees Victor as an old ass clown and mocks him. Brooks quickly catches the eye of Victoria and Abby whom Brooks spends a lot of time with and they both wind up having affairs with him. The sex is mind blowing with very graphic nudity (for daytime). Brooks also has a secret (he's bisexual) and he develops an attraction to Nick and Adam. Adam has explored that side of himself before and may not want to revisit it, but Nick has a midlife crisis and starts questioning things when he develops a close friendship/bond with the charming Brooks and they spend a LOT of time together going on vacations etc....Victor has a coronary at not only Brooks banging his daughters, now possibly his son.
