  • I personally don't think that disliking White Savior Joey is an indication the character is working. If it's a choice between King Joey and Duprees Strong, I choose neither.

  • There is nothing remotely scary or dangerous about the portrayal of Joey. Literally everything he says is dripping with sarcasm and zero menace. Also the writing of Joey as just the smartest person th

Good thing Victor was not in today's episode because YR had him in today's episode. Just dumb by YR.

Today was a great episode! It reminds me of why I was so hooked on soaps growing up. It's been a while since a soap felt this....soapy. I thought the pacing held its own considering how many different characters (including the Y&R crew) are in the mix.

Daphne Duplaix and Peter Bergman said in an interview with Michael Fairman that the show used a whole different stage for the ballroom in order to fit so many people in the scenes. It worked! It comes off great. I truly hope this leads to bigger ratings/streams to prove that adding to a budget can be worth it.

Poor Nicole and Ted. Both Martin and Eva.

Leave it to Haley to be in a tornado/trapped in a closet and still put the moves on the rich guy. Loved it.

When the previews showed blood on Kat's hands I was hoping (praying) it would be Tomas's and lead to his exit. Disappointing.

I do hope this sequence leads to Leslie toning things down since she expressed she thought it was her payback for how she's behaved.

I don't like Victor but I find it funny he was like I got my helicopter b@tches. Peace out. (But even leaving Abby...in the wind?)

Just watched and WOW - that exceeded expectations by far. Wonderfully directed and produced. It really reminded me of the old 1994 tornado on AMC.

I just hope new storylines spin off from the aftermath.

I don't know the blonde from Y&R, but that cliffhanger was GOOD. (Again, chandelier on top of Julia on AMC haha).

Eva and the blood - so scary! Kat was on my sh!t list again today for her behavior. Where was Tomas btw, we didn't see him at all did we?

The scenes with Jacob outside with the car at night - also very well done. The shot from outside the window with Naomi and Ashley was good/different.

I did think the music they played with Dani/Bill at the end was cheesy. They could have picked a quieter, sultry song given the nature of what just happened with the tornado.

I loved Leslie in this episode - taking care of Anita and being a real human. Her emotions over Eva... great stuff.

Overall the emotions were just so high. These types of events, where characters are in peril and loved ones are in agony, really get me in tears. This was great soap opera - kudos to BTG! I can't wait for tomorrow.

Naomi lamenting that Jacob would be worried about her was such a self-centered line. That character has really been annoying lately.

Speaking of self-centered, Kat was so horrible until she saw Eva bleeding.

Izaiah was scouring the grounds looking for Eva, but where was Tomas looking for Kat?

After all Bill has done to her it makes no sense why Dani wants anything to do with him.

"Somebody's under the tree!" was so 80s-90s soap when the melodrama was high.

Those Y&R characters are getting better action than they get on their own show.

Haven’t watched today’s episode but the fact they they used a tornado as the catalyst for the event, makes me feel nostalgia for when Passions had the Prom Boat Disaster Summer 2000. Reminds me of better days for soaps!

-- Excellent production and direction, especially in those early scenes that felt like a tornado was really happening. Lots of time, effort, and energy was put into all of this.

-- The hour moved very quickly and pacing was great, allowing some of the smh dialogue to be ignored.

-- Leslie was again used properly and given some vulnerability. I rolled my eyes when she told Anita that it might be God getting back at her (so God also punishes dozens of others, too?) but that plays into Leslie's selfishness. It all worked.

-- Colby Nixon continues to shine as Kat. She moved from snark to genuine concern about Eva in a minute, and was very effective. She's one of BTG's best actors.

-- Chelsea made me laugh, TBH. She's always walking around like a ditz and staying clueless.

-- I howled when I saw how smudged and dirty Jack Abbott was -- as if he'd been pulled from a pile of rubble. Also funny as hell was every conversation between Jack and Joey -- like they ran into each other at the mall.

-- Also laughed that Martin was found UNDER A TREE.

-- And around all the rubble, why were so many of the small tables with candles perfectly set and arranged as if the tornado skipped them? The tablecloths looked like they came right from dry cleaning 😂

-- I wanted Shanice to be written as more in charge rather than Vernon calling for triage and organizing so much.

-- I still think it's weird that we got no explanation for Diane attending with Jack.

-- Why was Victor written as leaving before the tornado? NONE of that timeline made any sense.

-- Dani and Bill. I know they have plenty of fans, and I know this is all soapy. Doesn't mean I like it. I just don't want Dani to AGAIN disrespect herself for this guy.

-- I know we just lost Derek, but couldn't Tomas have been found without a pulse?

Because it’s Victor….lol

All joking aside maybe EB was only signed on and only able to do his 2 appearances.

I get that. That's why it should have been written differently.

This was fantastic... so much continuous movement, some of the scenes felt like one long shot but they weren't. I'll rewatch tonight.

It's incredibly rude to give a keynote speech for a politician and then leave before they speak, Victor. 😉

Bill smirking at the thought of seeing up Dani's skirt and all his innuendo was hilarious. I loved how no one was looking for Hayley until the end. Maybe Randy can join the search! I hope we will see other characters like Mona and Jan helping out in the coming days.

Zero chemistry from Hayley and Kyle but I did lol at her house music strategy. Cute.

Kind of a cool twist with Jacob... I was expecting him to swoop in and save the day, but now he's in trouble himself!

Jack and Joey seemed like old friends... but then I suppose Joey was married to Jack's sister, after all. (Jon Lindstrom and Eileen Davidson).

Razzies for Dani and Kat, yikes. Dani was basically "Not overreact! How do you expect me to not overreact! I'm the worst contract actor on this show!!!" Honorable mention to Abby with her one line... ouch.

Kat was so nasty and tone deaf, and OMG Eva spewing blood like a horror movie, that was so good and shocking! Andre's injury was really well done too, where he was screaming something sliced into him.

Ashley was all "I'm a nurse I have to go help!" and did exactly nothing. Leslie literally did more than her.

Leslie had me howling when she latched onto Vernon, then moved me with Anita. Best character!

Anastasia's quiet panic attack was effective.

Such an emotional moment when Martin was found! He'll be fine.

Abby is not on contract at Y&R! No reason not to kill her... (why do I feel like Joey is going to save her and be the hero?)

BTG really shined here today because their characters are really well fleshed out and have personality and give good little zingers, and that's usually all in the backdrop of sitting at Orphey Jean's, but here it was that strong character driven drama PLUS some action and it really worked. Gotta say in 2026 both GH and BTG at various points have had me on the edge of my seat, watching nearly live and excited for the next day, like it was 30 years ago. Just unheard of these days. Like there's actually more than one show with good submissions for Best Drama, in 2026!!! This genre is alive!

I was getting AMC 1994 tornado flashbacks when watching this. Fingers crossed that the soap does what AMC did so well: Long term fall out. Julia/Noah was the biggest fall out that came from that tornado.

I am most interested in seeing the fall out story wise after this epic event is concluded

I feel as if the writers have a vision for this character that doesn’t and has never translated to the screen since the first episode. They want us to sympathize with her, but it’s almost impossible to do that. Would love this character written off.

There might be something interesting to mine storywise about a white character being of such lower social-economic class than her black best friend, but the show hasn't really gone there (and won't I suspect.)
