DAYS has never even TRIED to retcon Ben's past as the Necktie Killer, and that's what annoys me the most about him.  I mean, come on, just say it was Jordan or Clyde doing all the killings and get it over with, lol.

My FF button got a workout on Thursday and Friday. You couldn't pay me to watch those Susan/Johnny/Ben scenes. I read recaps and that was enough. I also FFed through most of the cabin stuff, besides Allie revealing herself as the devil to Ciara. I don't need to see Ciara whining about needing Ben or their stupid Romeo and Juliet crap. This story needs to be over.

I do enjoy the Price family story. I'm so glad Eli is awake. I just wish this story had been featured more before getting to this point. We've been seeing Lani like once every two weeks. It feels rushed now. But I'm still looking forward to Monday. The actor who plays TR is great.

When did Susan become a clairvoyant or psychic or whatever she is?  I know it's not recent, but it wasn't in her initial characterization.  Regardless, it's annoying and I'd rather see a recast Celeste than this.

I can't believe the SOB called Deidre Hall the "Mother of All Soap Stars."  Not Susan Lucci, not Susan Seaforth Hayes, not Eileen Fulton and Rosemary Prinz, not even Virginia Payne.  Nope.  Deidre.

I JFC with that [!@#$%^&*].

Wait. Did he just delete his Twitter account? No, he didn't. Sorry. I was confused when searching because the @roncavalarti on Twitter is no longer and I guess he changed it to @cavalartiron?

I love how Soap Twitter is celebrating the fact that it's finally clear that Ben is not ever going to be John and Marlena's 1986 baby

I never got that theory.  I get that there could be a 1986 baby, but even Ron wouldn't make it Ben.  Would he?  Sure, Marlena is weirdly attached to Ben but that's a huge leap.   It always sounded like a bunch of fanfic to me.  He would mess up timelines because he's younger than Belle/Brady, but I guess Paul is too and was born at basically the same time as those two.  I know there is wiggle room, but I don't even know how you begin to explain the fact Ben was born during J/M's first marriage and Belle was born during the Affair since the affair is brought up often.

Oh, my human error then. That's what I spelled? Curse this broken arm of mine and using one hand that's not the dominant one, but thank you for highlighting why I was having this issue, lol!

Really good episode today. Some of the dialogue was a little cringey but I didn’t have a problem with it.

The acting was on point, except for RSW’s

and so were the production values. And I love how both stories are coming to a climax at the same time.

Evan looked good. I wish he had been written as a tragic hero instead of an angry psycho.

And Eli was looking really good with the trimmed beard too

I’m glad it was just a rumor, probably started by RSW stans. But I could see Ron doing it, especially after Sarah’s de-aging, and Evan’s too

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
