"NiNa StOlE hIm FrOm Us FoR nInE mOnThS" seems to be the new "MoRgAn LoVeD pEnGuInS". I know in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't make a difference since bottom line, she did keep Sonny's identity from him but it doesn't make it any less revisionist and just eggs on the Carson fans.

I don't get this new angle that "Nikolas neglected Spencer for his whole life" that some online folks seem to push. Uh, what? Nikolas raised Spencer both in Europe and Port Charles on and offscreen for the bulk of his life before his 'death' in 2015, including in the several IRL years TC was gone until his return in '13. Obviously what Nik pulled to get one over on Valentin after he fell into that ocean was despicable, but in the years before that Nik had been there for Spencer for almost his entire childhood and he was a constant and committed parent until the recast. I can totally buy the rift in recent years since Coloma took over, but I also watched the show. I am far from Nikolas' biggest fan in the last 15 years, but people get too sprung for this twunk or the teen couple and want to totally rewrite history. Nik can be wrong for what he did after he 'died' and Spencer can be wrong for this crazy stalker mess - it's not an either/or, and it was never as simple as "Nik never had time for Spencer" because that's just not true.

That being said, Jesus, Coloma got way too thin.

I like that GH has a lot more sets than other soaps, but why did they need a new kitchen set for Michael & Willow.  Between the gate house and the Q mansion there were plenty of other places they could have had that whiny conversation.

Right?

I don't mind, it was a nice kitchen. But we don't need the Corinthos kitchen and the Gatehouse kitchen (and of course both have similar features). Is it so they don't have to use the living room sets that much? I don't really get it.

It was the Gatehouse kitchen. Had to be LOL

Spencer seems energized by working though the jobs has some ups and downs. He is hustling and getting after it. Also, he continues to show that still wants his father's love. That is consistent with him, he won't let go of the animosity he has towards Ava, but deep down he does want a relationship with Nikolas. Speaking of Nikolas it seems like he's headed for a fall.  Especially since Shawn/Alexis are going to work to prove that he's guilty of having Hayden shot. Alexis mentioned his poor treatment of Spencer and other things he's done wrong/how he's behaved since he came back after pretending to be dead. She definitely called him out big time. Alexis is serious about wanting him to face consequences for that and for letting Shawn go to jail for that crime. I am interested in seeing how they get Spencer to help them. Shawn has good chemistry with Spencer and I look forward to watching them interact more.

I also wish they would develop Esme more. She told Ava today she wasn't close to her family but that was really the only development we got from her. She tried to make Spencer out to be worse than what he is, when she told Ava she did everything due to following instructions from him. (Instead of being truthful about going rogue with things like the fire). Ava did warn her at the end not to cross her again.

Nina/Carly's exchange was interesting. Nina definitely is not backing down and it seemed like she's getting closer to slipping up and possibly telling or at least hinting to Carly about her and Sonny's closeness when he was Mike. Sonny does seem bothered by their fighting and he looks like he doesn't really want Nina to go to jail for anything.

And I do wonder if the man that's asking about Curtis is connected to Cyrus. I definitely think he's Curtis's dad but I wonder why they had Sonny have that conversation with Curtis/Portia today. Maybe there is a connection there, though I wonder if it's more of a red herring. Portia did say she got an uneasy feeling after talking to the mysterious man, so there could be something there.

I kind of forgot about Charlotte, lol. Glad to see that the actress recovered from her real-life injuries and is back. I liked her scenes with Brooklyn. I love seeing Yuri.

Why are Sasha and Brando still on the show? Whooooo caressss about them. Apparently the actress who plays Gladys is 60. She looks really good. LMAO at Charlotte seeing Gladys and being like, "Who is this person?" Valentin had no time for Gladys.

The Hayden story has been so boring, so I'm glad they're getting Spencer involved. Lol at Shawn being like, "Do it for Violet!" and Spencer is just like who???

Howarth's hair is getting worse with each episode. It's so bad that it's distracting. He looks goofy. There is just no point to Austin.

    • Yes, they did.  I still have them.  I think there were three.  AMC and GH as well.
    • Ah okay, thats what I thought. I was hoping I missed the announcement somewhere. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A new day in Salem… and a new day for Days.  I like the way everybody found out and absorbed the news about John’s death, and how they all eventually found their way to Marlena’s to offer their condolences. I’m not particularly sure why they waited until the next day to tell everybody but I don’t really mind it.  We finally got Roman’s perspective! His scenes with Kayla were one of the best parts of today. I’m glad that Roman is thankful for everything that John did for his kids. I agree with posters who said that he should’ve had a scene like this with John, but I’m happy we got this at least.  Julie was used very well today too. She’s definitely the best person for Marlena to have scenes with at the moment. Hopefully, Julie continues to be there for her. And yes, I totally agree with Marlena and Belle sending EJ away when he came to the apartment. I’m curious to see what’s going to happen to his and Belle’s relationship in the aftermath of all this. And, while I enjoyed most of Brady and Kristen’s scenes, I still think the ship has sailed for them. Hopefully, the aftermath of John’s death causes Brady to finally end this thing with her once and for all.  And, I see a lot of people were wearing some kind of shade of purple today.

    • Wow, I love that current and former actors are participating in this. I barely recognize Staci Greason! She looks fine, just very different. But I will be happy to hear anecdotes from her. I shipped RoJohn and Isabella hard back in the day, and I sobbed buckets in my dorm room at college when Izzy B passed. Honestly, I'm interested in everyone's stories. Drake seemed like he was well loved among the cast.
    • When she first appeared, I was sure she was setting Tyrell up for a prank. She was too much of a manic pixie dream girl- I wasn't surprised Tyrell also became suspicious. Now I'm not so sure. If Jessica genuinely likes Tyrell, it seems like a missed opportunity to not have started her out as a bully, then we see her gradually catch feelings for Tyrell.  The McBrides are definitely the "C" family of BTG. They always get last priority. There have been a few times where the Doug/Vanessa/Joey characters reference off screen conversations which seem too important to not show us. Like when Doug thanked Joey for giving him extra time to pay off the loan. When did that happen? Or when we abruptly moved from Vanessa/Joey at Uptown to Vanessa/Doug in the hotel room. The McBrides don't even have their own set - even though Vanessa is a realtor. It's a shame because I am a fan of the characters and actors.

I am also adjusting to KR as Ted but I feel that AM and MJ had way more chemistry as father and daughter than AM and KR. We saw Eva dream of having a real relationship with MJ's version of Ted for months so it's a bit of a bummer not to have that payoff with the original actor except for those scenes in MJ's last episode.  Something I noticed about Eva today is how she takes genuine delight in being a schemer. As badly as she wants to be a Richardson, she still has so much of her mom in her. It was jarring seeing her earnestly promise to steer clear of Leslie in her scene with Ted, then immediately switch attitudes when her mom showed up.  I'm very surprised with how quickly the accident story has been moving along. I was sure that it would be months if not years before people figured out it was Leslie on the motorcycle, not to mention responsible for the potassium overdose. I'm looking forward to seeing how MVJ and Guza avoid writing Leslie into a corner.  Finally, I have been loving the Articulettes story. Bonita Brisker was just the right amount of OTT - remember Sharon is supposed to be even more angry than Tracy is. If Sharon didn't come in swinging, people would say she fell flat. The way Sharon and Tracy describe the breakup is so Supremes-meet-Original Recipe Destiny's Child. I get the sense that MVJ is re-writing the Return to Love Tour as a roman a clef, and I love it. I'm looking forward to finding out what the secret they share is. If Dante Green is as shady as Berry Gordy was, it's something dark. If/when they go through with the reunion, I expect Dante to show up and claim to own the Articulettes trademark in a Lou Pearlman-esque twist.
    • Other than hanging out with Liz, all of Lucky's stories have been stalled out or dropped; the relationship with his son; his wanderlust. He hasn't been involved in any of the action/adventure or con artist stuff. I don't think he's even had a scene with Sidwell since the latter came to town. He's a real after thought. I doubt he's long for the show.
