Hope lying on the floor looking at Ciara's picture.  Shawn and Hope found evidence that "proves" Ciara is dead and Hope accepted it and was mourning.  I guess she'll leave town off screen. I was half expecting her final scene to be at the HTS talking to Eli or something.

Yeah, I was fine with it too. At least they weren't just ... gone. LOL. But in Rafe's case I wouldn't have cared if he did just vanish. And they did bring back A Martinez to write out Galen and Camila. It was rushed but not the worst ever, lol.

I didn't mind the Rafe and Gabi part (though it made the whole Jake introduction pointless), but I thought it was quick and silly how Eric had one conversation with a woman from his Africa life and BOOM it's time to go back to Africa and Nicole is all gung-ho for it. C'mon...

Finally, they're running a DNA test on Baby Henry. I knew they were going to do that soon. It may have been a few weeks in real time, but in Salem time it was only one day since Allie first reported the rape.

I wonder if Philip is actually going to fall in love with Sarah. They seemed to have some good chemistry in their scenes today

Not that I thought it was bad, but today's episode seemed a little off.

Jack and new Jen were only in it for like 30 seconds and the blackout seemed to come on so quickly. There was no buildup with Clyde and Orpheus whatsoever. And why would John be so alright with Marlena going out by herself during a blackout? I know Ron and everybody were under the gun with scheduling and everything but I think that they could have done more. Plus, we didn't need to rehash the three escaped prisoners again. If there had to be a blackout, it should have been more like the one JER wrote in 1994. Not an escaped prisoner in sight lol

Luckily, when it comes to post shutdown filming, the show looks more like GH then B&B. But how were Chad and Abigail able to actually kiss?

Today was random, definitely.  But I liked it, except for Marlena/Ben.  There was an effective foreboding mood and I liked how DiMansion was filmed.  I'm so into Jake/Gwen/Chad/Abby, I really hope it doesn't get old too fast.  I was hoping for more Cady--weird how they paid her & Matt for only one act of the episode . . . I wonder if stuff got cut?

    • Corey was the first. Then Ingo 5-6 months later. And then Vince was the last gasp.
    • Funny, that's the one I loved the most!
    • And then to break the trend, Thorsten Kaye (German-British) on OLTL.
    • @ReddFoxx I adored Eva and Leslie's fashions. Bringing back the 80s, LOL.

They're different characters, for sure. Dani is a "Have" but she still has the underdog, aspirational element, and yearning, for Independence. Similar to Erica Kane. When the show gets to digging into Anita's career; I want them to reveal more unresolved issues between the two. I would find it believable for someone like Dani to have grown up with resentment and complex issues being surrounded by BRILLIANCE from every corner.
    • So yesterday I wandered off on a tangent about Elvis Presley, off the top of my head. Probably no one cares but I want to correct facts. Elvis Presley did have a twin who was stillborn. They named him Jesse Garon Presley & in a level of their emotional life he was very real to Elvis's mama & to a lesser degree to Elvis himself. I will now return you to your regularly scheduled discussing post-Ron prattle.
    • They are the absolute stars for me. I’m delighted every day that my feelings about them from the special on the show, turned out to be that and so much more. I genuinely feel episodes are better when they’re featured. This cracked me the hell up especially with Leslie listening

. This episode was so good, I will be rewatching when I get home tonight. THIS was classic soap opera.
    • I can barely remember who was the person they tested her with for the AMC revival but I *do* remember kinda liking them together (anyone remember better?  lol)  But yes, I feel the same.  It might not help that when I became a regular viewer Tad was presumed dead and she was with Craig...  I do remember that my sister's best friend had been an AMC viewer with her mom and dad and that they were very excited that Tad was returning... OK I instantly remembered that.  And now once again I'm sad about what coulda been with the reboot.
    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
