Smh. I just can't. And that became clear for me when I landed back here in San Diego and just saw (whether they are vaccinated or not) people walking around in cool weather la-de-da without any hint of social distancing. Such a culture shock funnily enough from being in Manhattan the last few days. Whether they like it or don't like, NYC had such a vibe of taking it seriously...or not...but being more respectful of others.

Due to some unnecessary work drama on my trip, I might be taking you up on usajobs.gov.

lol.  I don't know if you have ever applied to jobs on that site before, but if you really would like to try and get another job here are some tips for you for applying if you haven't. (I apologize if I posted these steps before, I can't remember if I have lol.) You want to make sure that you put the description of the job responsibilities on your resume. Though, you don't want to do it for word for word. They ask people not to do that. But you can reword it in a way that still mentions/highlight the key job responsibilities. You also need to make sure you put the full tenure of each job you have up there. (like January 2020-September 2021) up there. They will look for that and a an application can be rejected due to that. And you are an expert at everything when it comes to responses on the questionnaire  they give you. Either that or an experienced journeyman for everything, depending on what type of job you are applying for like a WG job.

I actually got hired on a contract back in April 2020 when Covid first started really becoming rampant. Our Department/Agency had a lot of people that were high risk sent home for a year with pay. I believe they got to continue to acquire retirement/vacation time as well when they were off. I found out about job openings through an acquaintance of my dad and asked about it in person. I gave them my resume and got hired quickly. I didn't go through the original application process when I was first hired on. Later on when I was applying for permanent jobs I did and my application got rejected/kicked back a few times. This was due to things I didn't know about/not having information posted the way they wanted. They are pretty specific on what they want on a resume/application, it's important for people to try and get things right earlier on. But I finally did and ended up becoming permanent later on.

There are some decent federal jobs out there with good benefits. And there might be several jobs openings popping up, if people won't get vaccinated. I wish you and anyone else that might want to get a federal job good luck if you apply for one.

The majority of outbreaks in my area, at the present time, are from school age children.  I am fearful that their parents aren't going to get them vaccinated starting tomorrow.

Just another reminder of how stupid most coddled  celebrity athletes are (his girlfriend, a dime a dozen actress who starred in a flop Hunger Games-esque series  I believe, eats clay because a taxi driver told her so):

    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
    • Yes, that out of the blue return was odd. Maybe GG found a forgotten clause in the contract he signed when he was wooed to ABC and they were forced to take him back! Like George Reinholt he talked about the contract that promised him primetime roles. But it was loaded in the networks favor. I think it was Gloria Loring that re-signed at Days on the promise of primetime opportunities, but that was all it was- she was put up for guest spots and TV movies but not necessarily guaranteed that she get the role.
    • I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
    • It's interesting to watch this having watched The Doctors. I'm not sure I'm seeing that much of a difference in the characters Gerald Gordon and Anna Stuart played on The Doctors and what they're playing here.
    • I keep forgetting a huge chunk of that year was written by scabs. You're probably right, because by the time the strike was over, they were likely planning an exit for Alan's character as it must have been obvious by then that Bernau was not going to return. If he was still there, it's also doubtful they would have approached MZ and MG about coming back. Wild.
    • And to think the original plan was for David and Lesley to have an affair.  Not only would that have made no sense - Lesley wasn't THAT stupid, lol - but it also would've ruined her and GH.
