But seriously.  DG better be careful.  If CK isn't interested in returning to the show full-time, then he just might play himself right out of a job.

What I wouldn't give to see on daytime a sexually fluid villain who uses sex as a means to an end.  We were there, briefly, with CE's Adam before his homophobic fit.

Oh that's disappointing of Daniel Goddard. I'm not sure what his obsession with Lane is. When SSM split them up he had more screentime that he's ever gotten and he immediately went back to the backburner when they got back together. Then they tried to put him with Victoria and he complained. Now they're putting him with Traci in a well received story and he's STILL complaining, even though he's the only member of his family still on the show! Does he not realize he's making it easier for them to write him out? Regardless, I want Lily back recast so hopefully they get rid of him before she returns. She deserves a fresh start.

The fact that he's manged to survive this many regimes and even outlast Khalil is insane. Now that she's gone he's not going to be able to keep using the nutso Lane base as blackmail so he should tread a little more carefully.

I agree @Chris B Lily should absolutely be recast. I'd call Davetta Sherwood, get Michael Graziadei back on a recurring basis and try Lily and Daniel again. The twins should also still be on the canvas. Didn't care for Mattie but Charlie was growing into a decent young lead so them vanishing like they have right after Neil's funeral is ridiculous.

The one time Goddard/Cane got a meaty, interesting story true to his actual character (under Sally Sussman) he raised holy hell. If the Traci thing is getting positive feedback and he's doing it again that says it all. Kill him.

Did Daniel Goddard complain pretty strongly about being paired with AH/Victoria? I had heard some rumblings and saw a blind item, maybe indicating he wasn't thrilled with the pairing. But it did seem at one point, he might have been okay with it. Either way though he needs to embrace this pairing with Traci, IMO.

When Cane and Victoria were fighting their attraction to each other Cane/DG was on 14 episodes in the month of January. (And that was the most he has been on all year so far). After his storyline with Victoria dropped he was only on ONE episode in each of the months of February and March. The twins who were on contract then were also only on one episode for each of those months.

As soon as Cane was removed from Victoria's orbit and a potential pairing for her, his character was barely used. And that was with the twins still on canvas. With them gone now and the show not mentioning Sam, he won't even have the single father angle to fall on for a storyline. He could very well go back to one episode a month or worse, if the show moves away from this potential pairing with Traci.

I just feel like at this point Goddard is one of those things that will never go away.....Even when Maria tried to kill him off several years ago, she bought him back right away for that godawful twin stuff, not to mention Genie Francis biting Tristan Roger's lip.

Someone on the show has given him a protective shield.

Agree.  Either Steve Kent loves the guy, or Angelica McDaniel does.

The thing is, most actors would welcome increased airtime, which is exactly what DG is getting with this potential new relationship with Traci.  Yet, he's stirring up the Lane fanbase...even though Lily's in jail, and CK's not on-contract with the show.  I don't get it.

At the very least, there should be some means of preventing actors from using social media the way DG does without making it seem like censorship.

    • I had forgotten this. I guess it must have been for Peter, unless it was for Hart's abs.
    • Yes both were real highlights of the last two episodes.
    • She's been featured way more since the reveal than Nicole has.
    •       I don't agree that we're supposed to like Dani in obnoxious mode. I think Dani was written over-the-top intentionally for the first few weeks of episodes, to get the viewers to be evenly divided as to like/dislike the character. I don't think Dani is being written over-the-top or obnoxious anymore. I think Dani is now more of a background character who is being assertive but still in the background of Nicole.  Nicole is the lead of the show.
    • +1 - She and Ambyr go above and beyond the scripts they’re given.

date: Tuesday, May 13 | Sara A. Bibel, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Anthony Pascarelli So Deadbeat's secret has to do with a car accident? At least Nicole is getting dressed. That's a sign of good things to come. Eva looks gorgeous in her sparkling pink number. Very age-appropriate and fashionable. So, Douglas is back to his gambling addictions and lying to Vanessa, and here comes Joey, ready to fully cash in on the debt owed to him. Jan, you look gullible, but do not let Dana continue to trick you into believing her sob story, because it's just that: a story. If you're going to eavesdrop on someone, maybe do not make it so apparent (i.e., the new character: Kenny). But at least Deadbeat isn't running for president anymore. That's a sigh of relief. Anastasia, the town gossip, is a mood. Hoping she's an occasional guest when things need to be spiced up a bit. So, Deadbeat is no hero? This is alluding to this big, bad secret that's being harboured. Interesting. "You is kind, you is smart, you is important." We love historical references, this time to The Help. Oh, the showdown face; Nicole's slight eyebrow lift at the sight of Ted and Eva. If Vanessa knew she'd be showing up with Dani, then she really should have given them a heads up about who was at the country club. Not Derek just throwing his nasty, dirty shirt on the ground. I would be completely pissed off... and I guarantee he's using all of the steamy hot water, and I would absolutely off him. He and his ugly-ass chair would be out of the home. Oh, so everyone knows about Anastasia, and I do adore her. She gives me Leanna Love from Y&R, but even juicier. Eva, don't beg Dana for forgiveness; she manipulated you most of all... and you deserve better. So Anatasia wants lip filler? Or is she hinting at something else...? Well, well, well... Joey's true colours are finally coming out, and not going to lie... I believe him. Dana putting on a show that makes her look even more psychotic than she actually is. Dougie boy, do not sell out Vanessa and her business. The anvils dropping about Dana's future in Fairmont Crest keep coming out more and more. Months to build debt and one week to pay it off? Sounds about right to me. Notes: Karla Mosley (Dani) was right during the premiere week: Dani would be leveled out, and these last few episodes have showcased that. It's nice seeing Mosley showcase some good range and the capability of everyday range, as well. Jon Lindstrom (Joey) is showing what a capable actor he is; GH only barely tapped into that during the long-winded, dragged-out Kevin Chamberlain revisit. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) continues to be the undisputed standout amongst the cast. She's going places. Brandon Claybon (Martin) and Ben Gavin (Derek) continue to be standouts in the most needing of being recast, immediately. We've now got a second year under our belt, so now is the time to tweak the casting on both roles. Although Derek could easily be written out via a fire or emergency via his job.
    • Typo as I am referring to Dani alone.
    • She's jealous and resentful that Bill didnt fight for her the way Ted is for Nicole
    • Trisha makes it so hard to hate Leslie. Missy is just getting started to unravel. Can not wait.
