She's my dream casting! She'd be amazing and I'm hoping it can happen. I do recall hearing she was in the running for Carly before Laura Wright got hired. On that note, Laura Wright might not be a bad Phyllis, but I'm still so all about Jamie Luner!

How do you feel about Tamara Braun as Victoria? Or Christie Clarke?!

They gave up on any attempt to make GT to be "Phyllis" when they let the actress go back to her blond roots instead of the red hair Phyllis was always defined by. Luner would have been better at the sexuality of the character certainly. I heard a lot of cries for Robin Christopher, which would have been interesting but not really Phyllis.

But a soap that doesn't know how to properly use GT doesn't deserve her. She made Dinah Marler her own even after Wendy Moniz left such an indelible impression.

GT is who we have now, and you may as well tailor the role to her strengths instead of trying to shoehorn her (or any other actress) into a Michelle Stafford-sized hole. Stafford has been gone for years, and good riddance. She was insufferable to watch. The writers just need to do better by GT because she is capable.

GT is NOT the problem with Phyllis. Has everyone forgotten StePhyllis who was so clueless she didn't know Aunt Jack has been swapped with Tia Juan. And the constant victim. We've only seen glimpses of the 'Phyllis' character and GT had the stuff.

I'd argue that Luner, who I like a lot, would've had real problems playing 'weak' Phyllis, while GT at least was able to play it. On the other hand, maybe Luner's inability would've forced the writers to bring back fierce Phyllis.

I wasn't attached to MS as Phyllis and in fact I was thrilled when she left. I've gotten over the de-aging with GT, but it would be nice to give Phyllis something interesting to do. I will say just a few weeks ago at Sharon's party they wrote GT's Phyllis exactly as delusional and victimly as they loved to write Stafford's and I thought GT handled it perfectly.

I like Braun but I've always seen Victoria as being more physically imposing for some reason.  I was shocked to find out that Heather Tom isn't very tall because she really seemed so formidable as Victoria Newman.  I haven't really seen Braun in that light but hey, we have AH now and she doesn't seem imposing or formidable at all so perhaps Braun might be able to pull if off, if given the opportunity.

I'm not as familiar with Clarke to make a judgement.

About today's episode...

This is the most interesting that Tessa has ever been. It won't last, of course but at least I'm not constantly questioning why she's on this show, for the time being.

Am I the only person who find it absolutely odd that we hear about, yet don't see Ravi's family?  I've had friendships with people of South Asian heritage and from my experience, it strikes me as a tad unrealistic that you can have a South Asian character whose family doesn't make one single appearance.

For all its faults, at least One Life To Live got it right in this respect when they featured South Asian characters.

That actually showed Ravi?! I thought he got a silent write off. I'm still not sure why they won't put him in with the younger set. He needs to be hanging out with Devon/Noah/Mariah etc. I'm not sure why he's boxed into this one character interaction. The way he's used, you could say that he's Ashley's imaginary friend and I would believe it.
