You can say alot of things are played out on soaps. I think villains are an important ingredient.

A hero is only as good as his villain, a story is only as good as the villain in it. Villains are what make every story succeed or fail and every soap has gotta have them. Where GH went wrong years ago is when they made the villains the heroes.

Anyway, EJ and Sami are what made me tired of DOOL and stop watching. I liked James Scott but will not be sorry to see him go. I hope he pursues other venues for his acting beside soaps.

Is this Chad return confirmed or just speculation? Do we have an actor's name? Any info?

I wouldn't mind having Carrie back. She's not one of my favorites exactly, but I feel like the character belongs in Salem.

Hope is more interesting without Bo, but I feel like he is part of her story right now. He's looming over this new romance she's getting for sure.

I'm glad that EJ is leaving the show (as I've felt he and Sami have monopolized the show for YEARS), but I'll miss James as an actor. I'd love for him to go to B&B though....

This was totally expected but not gonna lie, I will miss EJ as well as JS's burning hotness.

Anyway, with James leaving, Eileen only being back short-term and Joe getting up there in years, the show desperately needs a new villain.

EJ isn't a villain and Stefano has barely been used in that capacity in a while.

well, he says he left to take some personal time. He sounded like he won't be working on any soaps anytime soon.

That's what they all say. He will be on Y&R as a character screwing one or all the female leads soon enough.

I'm a little sad, beautiful man and I love his voice. Now I have absolutely nothing to look forward to in regards to this show. I will see what they do with RSW before I fully peace out again.

The most upsetting part about this is that I'm assuming it means we're losing the Kunitz twins too. I love them.

It will be interesting to see the direction of the show now.

I remember a few years ago, James saying something about wanting to move to New Zealand, another time he talked about leaving acting after DAYS. He doesn't seem to be the kind of person that cares about fame or the acting industry.

My first wish is Tony, once Craptini grows tired of Thaao as Victor. Others that could come back are the Alamains, Alex Marshall or a completely new villain/crime family.

I think it would be a great move to have the Alamains return! Nicholas Alamain could come and stir up much trouble and his eye could be on Abigail. I would have loved to see the Alamains, Dimeras, Kiriakises mixing it up in business and in pleasure. There's potential there too.

I would love to see Mike return but not in the form of Roarke! He was okay but a lot of his Mike version made me cringe! Bring Mike Weiss back in the role or just don't bring him back at all! And I couldn't stand the Mike and Carrie mess!

And if not Michael T. Weiss, then there's always "my man," Philip Brown.
