LMAO, you weren't kidding! There is NO difference between drunk Nathan and sober Nathan. My god, he couldn't have pulled off playing drunk even if he had been sloshed for real in those scenes. Oy!

I can't believe how much airtime Nathan is getting. He's been on every day this month except for the anniversary episode and he's on again on Monday (shirtless, of course). Other than being hot this dude isn't even remotely interesting. And his moms are getting way too much focus too. Day after day of them talking about their past that Ron just pulled out of his ass, and more of that on Monday too! Good lord. I'm so bored.

And Rocco? I'm not even gonna comment on that.

I think she's great and watch her every scene. I love she has a good vocabulary and doesn't talk like everyone else, and I love how she inserts German words or whatever into her speech. I have no idea if they are even real words. Donna Mills as her sister is not believable at all though, and I wish DM was able to break into the same accent. That would have been great.

Donna Mills made it worth it for me. I know Madeline is supposed to be the big bad guy to the pure and wonderful-ness of Silas (cant find a smiley projecting vomit to clearly show how i feel about this) but she is the only one I care about in the whole Nina mess. Well there would Be Britt and Robocop if i thought the show would go there but after friday im confident that the show would rather waste their potential away like they squandered any potential they have had so far.

Kathleen Gati might bother me more if GH wasn't already so full of shittastic acting. Many of them being teens and kids. And I find her OTT acting entertaining. She's also much less offensive, IMO, than most of the other actors on GH. I think it helps that I'm a long time fan of Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest!

And it's not like it ruins a story. When Ronnie C. is in charge, there's no story potential at all. Even Donna Mills is lost! Hell, I honestly believe even Beverlee McKinsey couldn't make any of Ron's stories work. He makes Higley at her worst look talented. And it doesn't help that I'm so put off by his apparent real life personality if his social media tantrums are any indication.

Liz and Ric had some nice moments yesterday.

God, Olivia is unbearable! Her hysterics are not needed. Her fawning over the baby was creepy. LLC's acting tics are so annoying.

I'll never understand why people ever considered Luke a viable character.

Paevey and Thiebaud should never have any scenes together. Ever.

It's so sad that Donna Mills is reduced to this. What a waste!

Since Carlivati is so hellbent on camp, can't he at least have Dr. O face down the rest of the town and unleash bags and bags of cats on them like the crazy cat lady that she is? That would be a helluva lot more entertaining (not to mention to much more unpredictable) than this hideous dreck. Gati is entertaining but the only way I'll enjoy Dr. O at this point is if she goes on a killing spree. I have a long list. I think Maxie's new friend is at the very top.

    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
