Members sheilaforever
Stephanie to Brooke: "You can't even shoot straight!" 2005 was an AMAZING year for B&B. The storylines Patrick Mulcahey pitched for Stephanie were very much over the top, but made for great moments and fabulous acting for Susan Flannery. Let me remember: Taylor came back as a wax mummy, Stephanie faked her heart attack, Kay Chancellor came to LA and changed the course for FC forever (or at least till the next rewrite in 6 months LOL!) and I'm sure there was more in that year... It was all soooo good. The begging of 2005 was probably terrible as it surely was Jack Wagner & Ashley Jones as a wannabe super couple Nick&Bridget 24/7. Members soapfan770
Haha, I remember the start of 2005; Thudley was hinting at Ridge and Bridget 2.0 when Ashley Jones took over the role; We still had Amber acting crazy, and then Sarah Buxton was brought back as Morgan when Ridge had amnesia for a split second. Nick and Bridget kept having multiple interrupted weddings and multiple miscarriages. Ashley Jones really was the first of a long line of ex-Y&R stars to join the B&B cast in the mid to late 00's. I really had enjoyed Mulcahey's work on GL and his first year at B&B proved successful. Taylor's return and the ensuring calamity around the fallout really refocused the show. Stephanie's faked heart attack with Dr. Mark McClaine finally given something interesting to do was great, and the war between Stephanie and Brooke was downright killer. Stephanie kicking Eric in the balls was classic. Megan betraying the Forresters and sleeping with Massimo was hilarious. Bringing in Lesli Kaye as Felicia was a brilliant move. B&B was definitely on fire by the close of 2005. Unfortunately in usual Thudley fashion by early 2006 the show lost its momentum and sputtered out between the Thomas & Gabriela mess, Hector and Taylor, Sally losing Spectra and being forced to work in Megan's old job as Forrester receptionist/secretary, and adding Mario Lopez and Antonio Sabàto Jr. to the cast just did the show no favors whatsoever. Members Huntress
The Thomas/Gabriela wedding storyline happened in the summer of 2005, shortly after Taylor had returned. Antonio Sabato was also added in the summer of 2005 – they brought him in as a person from Taylor's past, then he kissed Brooke, and eventually he was interested in Bridget. I thought Dante only had chemistry with Felicia but that Dante/Felicia/Bridget triangle story went nowhere and was dropped in late 2006. In turn, the Megan/Massimo storyline happened in the spring of 2006 Please register in order to view this content
Members soapfan770
Thanks! Sometimes B&B's timeline for me in the late 2000's get muddled as there were some periods of the show that go so bad I skipped out on lol.

Members ltm1997
Not to change the subject, but seeing Stephanie and Caroline talk about the "reason" for Stephanie fighting so hard for Caroling to let go of Ridge in episode 490 brings up a question for me...was Caroline ever told about the Thorne and Ridge situation?
Members sheilaforever
I could be wrong: I think, Ridge learns about it - but that's about it. Caroline is already out of Thorne's orbit when Deveney Dixon enters for her re-enactment scheme. The upcoming episodes on Amy Silence's channel are all pretty good!

Members sheilaforever
As AmySilence’s uploads get really close to the start of season 3 of B&B, I find it fascinating how much house-cleaning has been going on, yet most characters got a proper send-off. Interestingly enough, THREE further additional original cast members (Storm, Katie and Rocco) are gone by March 1989 – leaving Brooke and Donna as the only middle-class Logan-universe relicts. Previously, the show dropped Dave, Mark, Beth and Stephen. Nick Preston who had a pretty timely Pretty Woman-type of storyline and could have easily stayed in Donna’s orbit, is gone as well. Even though Bill Bell killed Donna’s storyline completely, yet he chose her as the only to stay... Judging the acting chops, it was the right decision but it is still puzzling. BTW: Rocco is the only of the four departing characters not getting an exit explanation and will be gone the longest. Exactly 20 (!) years later he will suddenly pop up as an extra at Forrester Creations again. Katie and Storm will return for more or less frequent guest visits, in the case of Storm from 1990-1991 with a new face. It is kinda sad because Ethan Wayne had mostly mediocre material, but he an Lauren Koslow (Margo) clicked even though he was just serving as her attorney. On the behind the scenes front, Frederick Johnson joined the show as a writer in March 1989. He would quickly shift to Y&R and later work for maaaaaaaany different shows and have another stint at B&B in 2006 and I wasn’t aware previously aware that he got his start writing for the Forresters. I’m now curious when James E. Reilly will pop up in the credits and if it will correspond with certain storylines. Thoughts of those watching those classic episodes right now?
Members AbcNbc247
I love them. Those classic episodes are the reason I started watching B&B now. Even though it's very different now, it still like the most realistic soap that I watch. As for James E. Reilly, according to his Wikipedia page he doesn't show up until 1990.
Members Soaplovers
I do think killing off Donna's story was short-sighted.. because it was the only thing that existed outside of the Forrester orbit.... if I recall... I do think Donna ends up in the Spectra orbit eventually for awhile... while Katie makes several visits between 1989 and 1991.
