Gosh, gee, that was really lovely. DA looks & sounds so good. She really pulled herself together to see her mom. Again today, I love the writing.

And I am so excited because this episode has solved a small personal mystery for me. I had it in my head that Stephen Schnetzer had played Julie's brother, Ben Olson. And, he did play Julie's brother, ... Steve Olson. I couldn't figure where I got Ben from. It seemed so random for my brain to change Steve Olson's name to Ben. Here's the answer, Tom & Alice were talking about Ben & Addie. There was a Ben Olson, he was just Julie's father not her brother.

Thnx again!

I'm not sure why Julie initially kept her romance with David a secret from Susan, but I am pretty sure Julie didn't tell her later, after David and Susan had been together, because she didn't want her friend to feel worse than she did, by telling her she was dating David and was in love with him.

Julie assumed the whole thing would be over in 9 months and everyone could be discreet and she and David would reconcile. She also blamed herself for what happened between David and Susan because it happened just after Julie and David were to elope. Julie changed her mind, David was heart broken and found Susan, who was equally miserable.

They consoled each other in the back seat of his car (I think) it was impulsive and driven by heart ache and lack of self worth. I think Julie didn't blame Susan for what happened, and just wanted to help her deal with the mess they had gotten into.

This is a great place & you describe it well. It's a good place to think. I love Bill Bell but I have a bone to pick with even him. He is one of many who participated in violence against women, rape, assault he said/she said, etc. I realize that he is a product of his generation, though.

Thank you for the reply!   I am trying to piece the story together the best I can.  It's difficult when you only can find a few rare episodes or whatever awesome stuff @JAS0N47has.  Hopefully more of these episodes are uploaded.  Anyone know why Susan was so miserable at the time to hookup with David?

It's crazy to think such a legendary character like Julie only had one child and it was by David who was on the show for a year before SSH even took over lol.

That episode was terrifying to watch in real time. At least the stunt woman "playing" Julie was a professional. Suzanne Rogers must have been terrified. I doubt I would have agreed to participate in that scene, and good luck to NBC/Corday if they tried to force me into it legally. I would have won in court!

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
