ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
Scarlett Spears (GH Donna Corinthos) is still recurring on GH, so "where are they now" is that she's still there, Assume this was already mentioned on other threads: Spears played "young Glinda" (younger version of Ariana Grande's Glinda) in the film "Wicked: for Good", released November 2025. Update that Scarlett Spears is a voice actress in Toy Story 5. She voices Bonnie Anderson, the young girl who became the caretaker of Andy’s treasured toys. Toy Story 5 was released in UK May 25, 2026 and will be released in USA June 10, 2026. Stephanie Sloane interviewed Scarlet via email, and it's in Sloane's newsletter: https://soapsteph.beehiiv.com/p/exclusive-gh-actress-on-new-movie-role

Y&R: June 2026 Discussion Thread
Roger Howarth has gushed about the role and Josh Griffith in interviews. (sigh) Here are excerpts from two formerly spoilerish interviews March 31, 2026, SOD (link) there was a window where they hoped for Matt to return,” he explains. “So we scheduled ourselves to be back in Los Angeles for when that might be.” And once back in the studio, he hit the ground running.”It’s a really well-written role with very clear dynamics, so I felt very comfortable getting back to work. Comfortable and excited! I was definitely excited to get back to work.” _ _ _ “It’s a very fun part to play,” he grins. “And part of what makes it so fun is that it seems every character in the story [surrounding Matt’s return] seems to have an agenda that is not completely transparent to everybody else in the story. .” _ _ _ This time around, hints Howarth, “There’s a shift coming up in the story that’s been a lot of fun. They’ve given me some new people to bounce off of and I really appreciate what Josh [Griffith, executive producer/head writer] is doing. I hope the fans like it!” _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ April 27, 2026, tvinsider (link) For Howarth,. . . . . He is no stranger to playing soap villains but didn’t know what to expect when he first spoke with head writer and executive producer Josh Griffith last year. “I wasn’t told the specifics of what it would be, but I could read a sense of excitement in the voice of a guy who I totally trust, and Josh seemed really enthusiastic about it,” recalls Howarth. “I was just really pleased that he thought of me at all. It was kind of alluded to that Matt was a villain in the best sense, but I didn’t really realize the scope or the magnitude of his evil until I got until I got here, and then I was really happy to see just what a colorful past he’s had. It’s a great part.” - - putting his own stamp on the role came naturally. “I trust the writing and I think that the writers have a clear vision of who this guy is,” Howarth says. “I really just try to stick to what I could figure out from what they were writing rather than try to do what the other two actors who’ve played the part did.” That trust is rooted in a long-standing creative relationship with Griffith, whom he previously worked with on One Life to Live, where Howarth played the deeply complicated Todd Manning. “Josh Griffith was a really big part of the team that created Todd Manning, and he has a really good understanding of the darker parts of humanity and how they intermesh with the classic soap villains,” Howarth points out. “But he never loses sight of what motivates people and the human side to all humans.”

CBS soaps promo June 1, 2026 (BTG, B&B, Y&R)
This is like the CBS Daytime summer promos from several years ago -- a mishmosh of old random clips that are supposed to be "exciting". *** It seems thrown together because the B&B and Y&R scenes are more recent, and the BTG clips are older. "Let's see, what scenes does each show have laying around -- that have already aired -- that we can splice together?" Karla's singing is nice, so there's that. But it doesn't save this. *** I remember when Y&R would do that type of "exciting" promo that was random already-aired scenes, and there were several arrangements/variations, but they often included Chelsea screaming when Adam entered the building and it exploded. Like how many times can you put that in a promo? Seems like they're doing this with Dani at Bill&Haley's wedding, and the golf club in Bill's office.

All My Children Tribute Thread
This is great! I was watching live in those days, but AMC was in the middle of the day and I was a child, so I would have been in school and missed it. I could watch only in summers and on school vacation days. But yeah Susan and Karen's voices are unmistakable, even to someone slightly hearing impaired as I am. Now if it had aired summer of 1970, I would have seen it live!

B&B: June 2026 Discussion Thread
Yeah I was wondering that too. but . . . Eve Basler didn't work for a long while during her illness. However, I had noticed that she promoted things more recently. Seems like they laid her off after she got well and had been working a while? So maybe not related?

GH: June 2026 Discussion Thread
I've been watching old reruns of Law & Order and Law & Order SVU. Last month I saw SVU, Season 20, Episode 23 from May 2019 "Assumptions". There was an interesting guest actor. She played an interesting character -- a liberal New York Muslim politician who spoke out for various causes, including Palestine. She was raped and there was a convoluted storyline trying to figure out what happened. At first it was assumed that this was due to some angry Jewish teens, but it wasn't them. The reveal was that her character was a closeted lesbian, and her exhusband raped her. I thought the actress did well and had lot of fire. But she looked familiar so I checked IMDB for the episode cast. It was Nazneen Contractor ! She was so much more interesting there, in one episode, seven years ago, probably well-rehearsed and well-directed. So unlike her portrayal of the drab ADA Turner on GH. I was reading these SON GH threads, and someone said last month or the month before, that she had one scene with some fire. Must have been well-directed?
