I don't understand why people don't understand Eileen doing this. I could see her being honored that they're going for a top tier soap star and not just a random no-name. For Beverly Hills it makes perfect sense. I think a good number of soap stars wish they were in Eileen's position right now. They're trying to up the glamour because Joyce and Carlton, despite money, had no Hollywood connections and felt too down market for Beverly Hills. Perhaps they could've been on Orange County.

In other news, here is the RHOA opening: http://straightfromthea.com/2014/11/07/why-porsha-really-lost-her-peach-andy-cohen-explains-video/#more-155433

Joyce does Hollywood connections (her husband is a name and an Oscar nominee) and she spoke out about how many things they filmed her doing wound up on the cutting room floor in favor of her "feud" with Brandi. Joyce honestly wasn't catty enough for this show and too genuine.

I know Joyce did have the Hollywood connections, but she just came off so low rent due to the way they associated her with Brandi and Carlton. I feel like last season was a failure because of producers NOT because of Joyce or Carlton themselves. They are the ones who pick which stories to pursue and they failed Carlton and Joyce in that regard.

I can see where the money would be nice, but these are toxic shows, with fanbases that often love to pick and find flaws and get too personally involved. Their lives and families are the property of editing, and production agendas. For someone with a decent career in the industry, I think it's a huge roll of the dice.

See I see that, but a good smart person can do well on reality tv, even Housewives. Kandi and Cynthia from RHOA have mainly just benefited and Carole and Heather did well on NYC. It's just that when people DO have a fall from grace it's usually huge.

I've gotta say - that Atlanta opener with the new tailgates is a letdown... doesn't seem to flow and the tailgates aren't that catchy like they've been previously.

I'm so excited for the premiere though - good month for Bravo!

I see what you mean, Chris B. I guess RHOBH seems different to me. Other than Lisa, who seems to have a lot of navigating and PR skills, this show seems to do nothing but drag the participants down.

I agree that Carleton seemed down market..but joyce seemed too classy for the show. And if you want to talk about down market...what about Brandi? Talk about down market.

Bad ATL opening. They don't even sound enthused.

At least BH will most likely be good. They always get a new opening every year.

I am surprised Atlanta doesn't get a new opening...

I kinda miss the families being I. The background in Atlanta... kandi, Phaedra, and Cynthia still feature their kids and.husbands..

Pit Bull Update: TMZ is on this like butter on bread. Kim's "second mother" will be suing her. She's one of Kingsley's four victims. She was laying down on Kim's bed and reached over when the dog ripped into her hand. He went after her face but she blocked Kingsley with her arm. Kingsley chewed into her arm. She shows pictures of the injuries that look pretty awful. She said she convinced them not to call animal control at the time due to Kim's pleas but Kim has refused to take care of any of her medical bills (re: injuries Kingsley caused).

Like she did with her niece, Kim is, once again, blaming the victim.
