November 17, 200916 yr Member No, Zach took Myrtle's photo out of there last spring when Ryan stole the ugly ass casino from him. Oh, damn, I must've missed that. I'm not surprised, that's the subtle way the show got rid of any need to reference her ever again. Then yes, by all means, BURN IT DOWN! Ps, speaking of actors who are leaving, was anyone shocked when Amanda referenced Taylor the other day talking to David? If they want us to forget she ever existed (which I almost had), they shouldn't have brought her up!

Ps, speaking of actors who are leaving, was anyone shocked when Amanda referenced Taylor the other day talking to David? If they want us to forget she ever existed (which I almost had), they shouldn't have brought her up! Yeah, after Zonny handed Karly off to his nemesis after losing the casino, he walked out -- but doubled back, took Myrtle's photo off the wall and continued out. OMG! Taylor! Yikes, I did forget about her! Wasn't she last seen hobbling out of the dance marathon? What a pathetic, forgettable exit... YES!! Take that, MacBeth!
November 18, 200916 yr Member Aww I liked Taylor--poor MEK getting shoved into her stgory and then without even a line of realistic dialogue having her exit it in about one scene.
November 18, 200916 yr Member Everyone maligns the Rayfield/Cascio six month stint, but that was truly the last time we had these so-called eccentric character roles: Kenny Adler, Rosemary Chicken, Lysistrata Schwartz and Simone Torres's running gag of coming up with crazy plots that saved Fusion but also got her arrested by Officer Lyman. McTavish came on, wiped them all out, marginalized (then killed) Simone and made the show nothing but angst, misery, depression and turmoil... which set the tone for present day. Totally agreed--and it's no secret that I'm not a fan of the era. You did leave you though the comedy gold that was the Chin family--a clever and hilarious bit of social satire making all of us face up to our inate Asian racism but with a smile on our faces! In all seriousness I do agree with you and appreciated this aspect. I have no memory of a Rosemary Chicken (was that one of the drag queen whores?) but I particularly loved Lysistrata. I also was glad they took Simone who was an endlessly crying blubberface under Culliton and played to her strengths--I thought for the first little while McTavish wrote for her well, keeping the silliness but adding a bit more seriousness. But we know how that went. And Kenny was adorable (I never liked Boyd...) However they all suffered from the same prob as all of Rayfield's characters--no connection to the canvas by family.
November 18, 200916 yr Member The new SOD has an item stating that AMC is "thisclose" to signing a recurring player to a contract in order to ensure they continue with the show after the move. Jill Larson? Bonner? (Please don't let it be Bonner)

November 18, 200916 yr Member God, it BETTER be Larson and not Bonner. But I would love both to stay.
November 18, 200916 yr Member I love it when people set themselves up to be disappointed. All I have to say is that it better be James Mitchell, or I'm gonna quit watching all together! I mean it! Don't push me, 'cause I will! Watch! You'll see!

This is the same show that signed Stephanie Gatschet to a long term contract. But there is no point in keeping Beth Ann Bonner if Aiden Turner and Alicia Minshew are gone. Why else would Tad all of a sudden be tossed into this Zendall/Aidan story? I can't recall the last time I've seen Tad and Zach in a scene together.

I can't recall the last time I've seen Tad and Zach in a scene together. TAD? Oh good Lord. I actually thought Tad was being incorporated for the simple fact that Pratt likes to weave the cast together, which I think he does well and better than McTavish ever did. McTavish did it in such an artificial way that didn't make sense sometimes. Anyway, I really do believe this blind item is about Jill Larson. And maybe if it's not Jill, it's Daniel Kennedy. Or maybe it's the actress who plays Lucretia. ETA: What if it's the girl that plays Emma? Or it might be Nurse Gayle. Or maybe Walt Willey? Edited November 19, 200916 yr by Jonathan
