Wow, another southern-set soap.

Two country songs made the top 10: “7 Summers” and “I Hope.” I read that Gabby Barrett is the first American Idol alum from the last seven seasons to have a top 10 hit (since Philip Phillips in 2012).

Unlike with this past season of ATL, when I wanted them to hurry up and get to the big Toronto blowout they teased, I’m happy to be patient with Potomac as they build to the Monique/Candiace fisticuffs. Next week is the start of more Michael Darby mess, plus Wendy tangling with Ashley and getting attacked by T’Challa. 😂

Brandi is a very sad case. Not to be hyperbolic: It’s been a while since we’ve had a tragedy hit close to home (e.g. Russell taking his own life) on one of these shows. The last thing a lot of these women need is the spotlight.
