I’d be horrified and violated if someone secretly filmed me having sex and released the video IRL, of course, and angry, but yeah this is a poorly conceived plot with few stakes. I’m just thinking about the similar story on Elite, where you had a character who was Muslim filmed having sex in a high school locker room, and it was released to the whole school. Now that story had stakes, even though the show dropped the ball with the fallout (and was small beans on a show where kids are murdering each other). Cam/Joss doesn’t really have any of that.

@Errol, good question. Is it something unique about GH’s economics (network-owned, etc.) or is this just Frank Valentini’s knack for budgeting vs the other soaps’ EPs?

Is anyone watching this season? Angeria, Willow, and Deja are decent queens, but the whole franchise really feels bloated, burnt out, and rote. I think making each episode two hours lends itself to a lot of flab (the endless maxi-challenge performances that take one bad joke, like a soap opera with flatulence, and run it into the ground). Daya Betty is a weak, obnoxious villain.

The whole cabin setup with Esme drugging Trina became about Cam and Joss banging while Trina disappeared, so yeah. And Joss gets all the good scenes of telling Esme off when Trina is ostensibly Esme’s romantic rival.

I wonder if they don’t want to shell out the money on an experienced soap actress for a role they barely have any use for. (Hopefully KM, et al, know their worth.)

I wouldn’t be surprised, honestly. Having Portia/Curtis/Jordan in their segregated corner is more their style.

I believe so re: Nate. I thought that was going to be the initial story anyway. Ashland and Tara conspiring to scam both the Abbotts and the Newmans and taking over Genoa City’s two major conglomerates. Instead we got this mushy, convoluted mess.

Is that true? Because I think he was shown having coughing fits when no one else was in the room? Unless he had a less serious disease… Jack and Phyllis made me turn the show off. Too pissed about this story. “Ohhhh Keemo’s letters. They were addressed to meeeeeeeee…”
