“A Whiter Shade of Pale” is like a hymn, it’s so timeless.

These shows don’t seem particularly motivated to nurture Asian male sex symbols. Granted that’s an industry-wide failure (the few who seem to really break through are biracial or multiracial like Keanu Reeves, Henry Golding, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, or Christopher Sean on DAYS). Ugh, what is the point of this Devon/Amanda and Chance/Abby stuff? Are they building up to a partner swap? A foursome? What?

It’s just stupid. It takes potential future story off the table. And these shows need all the potential story they can get. And if they just bring on his daughter for now, they could build the suspense of when Keemo himself might show up.

I just hope they didn’t kill him off. Soaps need to stop killing folks off screen unnecessarily. Just give a reason to keep him off canvas until they can use him.

I like that the UK primetime soaps have pretty much maintained their themes (sometimes with different arrangements and visuals) as their series evolved. The U.S. shows always wanted to repackage themselves, which so often reeked of desperation.

Yeah, after 25 years, they could really do anything want with Keemo. It’s just a shame that we lack confidence in the writers to do any of consequence with this story. A few random accounts claim that a casting call went out for an Asian female, but I don’t know how reliable that tea is. This Mariah/Tessa wedding planning is so saccharine and a waste of time (straight outta Hallmark Channel). And then there’s all the discussion about Faith and Moses choosing where to go to college. This show at least needs humor if they’re not going to play conflict, and this all plays like children’s TV.

I saw that too. Not sure I buy it.

Phyllis is useless and instead of cutting their losses (MS is waaaaay too “popular”), they bring back her dotter to give her something to do. I’d rather see Daniel and Lucy instead of Dummer redux. Some fresh dynamics, please, and Daniel can work on luring Lily away from Billy.

He looks great. In person he’s very hot even not in that kind of shape. One can only expect that Bradley will want to show that off.
