DAYS: August 2024 Discussion Thread
Playing devil's advocate here: Is Stephanie Cameron still in the industry? She's no Meryl Streep, but she's a familiar face in the role... And who amongst us hasn't secretly held out hope they'd finally bring back Peter Blake to the fold? I liked Cady McClain as Dixie and I know she's a daytime veteran, but her Jennifer is so frazzled and erratic. It's not cute.

B&B: August 2024 Discussion Thread
It's so weird. It's not like it's 1996. There's no reason for B&B to try and emulate DAYS. However, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they started going down that route of re-using old actors in new or recast roles. Just you wait: Phoebe will be resurrected so JMW can play a dual role. Or perhaps Taylor actually had triplets....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
LOL Mary's back. She's so delightfully awful. I'm not really a ride or die for anyone on this show, so I have no problem with Heather taking center flake, earned with her line delivery from last season. Let's see who hates who this year.

GL #1 and DAYS #2? I'll take it I was worried at first they left GL off the list, only to find out they saved it for the top spot.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I've *never* liked Alexis and she's even worse now. Indeed, her antics reeks of thirstiness for having a reality TV "moment." She's not clever or cute; she's just a hypocritical Christian behaving in a non-Christian manner. I can't wait to see it implode in her face so we can push her out again and never see her again. [Side note: Why couldn't they keep Taylor Armstrong around?] Tamra always pushes too hard, doing the reality TV moment thing by being too vicious with Shannon's drinking problem (and it is a problem). If you truly care about this woman's well-being, all this should be done off-camera, just as OG RHONY have tried [and failed] to reign in Sonja Morgan. Talk to her one-on-one or stage an intervention, but no, Tamra does the reality TV thing instead. She plays the game, but her intentions always look insincere.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Watching this mess and seeing the divided seating, I would be happy if they finally cut their OG along with her sloppy sidekick Jenn Aydin, drop jittery Jackie altogether, and focus on the other table. (Switzerland Dolores can stay too). After all these years, I find myself being Team Melissa even though I side-eye how she joined the show in the first place, but Teresa is just a empty headed monster whom I've grown tired of seeing. But Bravo/Andy refuses to part ways with Teresa, so we'll never get that. It's sad that this particular franchise imploded like this, but Bravo has no one to blame but themselves. The fact they thought this cast could crank out another season shows how shortsighted they are.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed. I have no interest in chasing down random internet interviews and whatnot. Call me old-school, but I prefer the "watercooler" ways of having one show that airs on television that can be dished about afterwards.

Yeah, that lil bombshell deserves a follow-up. Especially since we only had Teresa's non-reaction (since she has "delayed reactions," for when her little brain catches up with the rest of us). I'd like to see Jackie's triflin' head on a platter. Meanwhile, did we gloss over the fact that there’s a new Peacock reality dating show in the works that will feature RHONY’s Luann, Potomac’s Gizelle and Ashley, and OC’s Shannon? Plus, there’s a Vanderpump Villa-esque show in the works with RHONY’s Dorinda as host of Bluestone Manor. Bravo may have dumped OG RHONY, but they just can’t quit that cast. 😊

OC & BH may Y&R and B&B it to the finish line. I think RHOBH is still good though. There's always a real-life drama playing out or trying to get downplayed. I think next season's Potomac will definitely be a make-or-break after resting on their laurels for the last few years. I'd have to agree with everything else too. SLC burned itself out too quickly; I can only imagine who's in an alliance with whom this season because it literally changes every year. For sure, not taking care of Atlanta and now New Jersey has killed the buzz and momentum of the Housewives brand. IMO, their saving grace is still Beverly Hills. Yes, OC is strong, but it's never really had the pop culture buzzworthiness as BH/ATL/NJ/OG-RHONY.

Ratings From the 90's
Has The New Class ever been in reruns? I can't remember ever seeing it available. Add to that, California Dreams. The only other "TNBC" show I enjoyed back in the day was Hang Time.

I am worried for Kamala and the amount of sheer hatred that's about to be hurled her way. They hated Obama but they attacked Michelle even worse. They just can't stand seeing a black woman in charge. I'm 110% with her, and suddenly my 2019 Kamala bumper sticker on my car is relevant again

I find it funny how the whole gang-up on Heather is basically forgotten from last year (well, so far. I'm sure Heather will bring it up eventually). Especially in the case of Heather vs. Tamra, but we can credit Shannon's DUI for changing up the show's narrative completely.

I'm down for that! As long as we don't have to see much of her husband.
