  1. On GL, how long was Millee Taggart's run? Maybe around June 2002 to February 2003? Boy did she ever do some great work at that time, from Philip/Olivia/Alan, Alexandra's return with Joan Collins, Reva/Josh's wedding, Richard's death, re-energized teen/twentysomething crowd, Gus finding out he's a Spaulding, etc. It was a short-lived but wonderful era.
  2. I'll never understand the concept of recasting a long-running role just to tell an "I'm Dying" storyline. It's like, we don't know you; who cares? lol
  3. Agreed. But definitely keep the theme as is. It's... majestic. And I love how SLC's background music during transition scenes have that ominous choir sound to it. Can't believe that flake Angie gets center flake.
  4. OC behind the scenes is getting messy. Ryan is now suing Tamra? Meanwhile, actor/comedian Joel Kim Booster had some choice words about Shannon during filming of the new Bravo dating show, Love Hotel... https://www.edgemedianetwork.com/story/335676 "Just because you're a pathetic drunk on a reality television show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI does not make you a star and does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman. Period," Booster. He added, "They will make me delete this, but DM me if you'd like to see videos." Then Booster seemed to hint that he had been told to take down the comments. "Well, that was quick," he wrote. "Anyway. Don't regret it. Hope you screenshot it. Hope she suffers." And that is indeed what happened, with screenshots of his post making their way around the internet. Then Booster referenced Beador's ex-boyfriend to add insult to injury. "Well, let's just say I can't imagine what John Janssen went through. Poor guy," he wrote. According to the Instagram account @bravohistorian, Booster's bad blood with Beador stems from her alleged bad treatment of the crew on the upcoming "Love Hotel." "Said she has been a TERROR for the entire three weeks, humiliates the crew, was hideous to him and that at the wrap part just a few hours ago she was terrible to someone he really loves," according to the account. "And he got in her face and said, 'You think you're a star? People don't like you, they pity you.' And then he said, the daughters are just as bad."
  5. Well said. Gosh, this show could really use Peter Reckell back full-time now…
  6. Agreed. Drake was king at playing the scene straight. None of that wink-wink, nudge-nudge cheeky stuff that's so commonplace nowadays. There's a reason why the OG possession storyline was a success, along with all the other fantastical over-the-top the show gave him year after year, decade after decade. I was utterly shocked when I saw the news over the weekend. Like the late, great Kristoff St. John, everyone has a positive story to share about Drake Hogestyn, the committed team player, the papa bear to the younger performers, the man who always gave positive words of encouragement. As someone who attended a 3 hour event with him and Bryan Dattilo back in 2005, he is absolutely full of great stories, always sharing interesting tales, and always spoken with passion. He was so full of life and love. Wow, this one hurts. RIP Drake and "John," the ultimate DAYS hero.
  7. Where's that still frame of Garcelle smirking at Sutton while an angry Erika looks on in a huff? I'm having that moment right now.
  8. I'm a month and a half behind and finally started to bite the bullet and play catch-up. The show is half-way decent when you subtract anything related to Body & Soul and the Ava/Stefan/Gabi garbage. Are they still overly and sloppily bronzing some actors' faces? Lord, Matt Ashford looked ridiculous, along with others...
  9. Ugh, been busy busy busy at work, but wanted to echo or give my lil' take on SLC... Mary Cosby continues to be the bitter Greek chorus of Utah and I love it... I know she's a hypocrite, but I still find Heather Gay entertaining... Lisa is Lisa; she's a necessary evil like a Tamra... I did so enjoy the pile up against Little Girl (I can't with her anymore), which actually kinda felt organic in that everyone started adding in their own two cents on the subject. @Cat used the magic word I thought of while watching the show... very performative, with the worst offenders being Angie and the newbie. For me, everything Angie does falls flat. You can just tell everything she does is for the cameras. She could never make it as an actress. The scroll? Gurl, bye. The new girl's costumes were indeed costumes. Just stop. Halloween only falls on the calendar once a year. I do think some of Meredith's gripes against Whitney were weak when it comes to the line of products they each sell, but overall, I'm Team Meredith and her bathtub. I'll be interested in seeing the fallout between her and Mary, since Mary was seemingly the one constant friendship in a sea of ever-changing alliances on this show.
  10. I'll take the show back in any capacity. The fact that the OG castmembers are behind the creation of this "reboot" gives me more faith in a good finished product versus the messy clusterfunk that was the 2009 debacle.
  11. Agreed 100%. It's like, I want to like her, and especially since the GEB's go so hard against her, I rooted for her with her alliance with Karen and Candiace, but by herself she comes off flat or forced. Her reality TV persona is a bit of an identity crisis. It is pretty remarkable she's lasted this long, but Bravo always seemed hesitant at rotating out castmembers on Potomac. Trailer looks good! Come through Keiarna! You earned that flute! And Jacqueline an official friend? Oh, yes, they're definitely building the show around Messy Mia, which is crazy to me. Yes, Mia's life circumstances are ripe for fodder in reality TV land, but as Nene Leakes said, Housewives don't create *stars* anymore, and Mia is no star. Lots to discuss... Karen's DUI... Wendy and Karen falling out... Gizelle and Wendy's producer-forced truce... people coming for Ashley... Gizelle no longer having her stooge and looks to be waffling in the wind... looks to be good! Hope they can correct course and make this a fabulous season.
  12. The deaths aren't lies; they're casualties.
  13. I love the fact that his outburst of "being shot" and blaming Democrats for saying bad things about him was completely ignored. We all know it was staged. I hope that truth is revealed during the usual "October Surprise" of each election year.
  14. As much as I love Michelle Obama, I'm so glad we're over the "when they go low, we go high" pleasantry bull. Kamala did what Hillary and Joe couldn't do: she beat Trump at his own game and it was a thing of absolute beauty.
  15. EDGE and LOL go back and forth being the lowest rated CBS soap, with Edge only having a couple months left before switching to ABC.
  16. [MarDevil voice, talking to itself] "Pooooor, Marlena. Girlfiend, you are a mess! You need some rest. But I wouldn't count on getting any... hahahahahah. Not while I'm around .... wait'll you see... what I'm going to do next." - DAYS, January 1995.
  17. A basic internet search on her own dad would answer any questions about how Daniel died and who did it. The sainted priest even did prison time for it. She could've easily researched this back as a pre-teen just out of morbid curiosity. But it's a soap
  18. Going back to 2012 when we were down to 4 soaps and the future looking shaky for both GH and DAYS, I don't think anyone on this board thought any of the shows would be left by 2024, yet here we are. Are they quality shows? Ehhhhh.... but they're here. I'm hoping The Gates will be a success and a kick in the butt for the other current shows to step up their game in quality content. Stay tuned...
  19. LOL, I do that every time I get a news alert on my phone.
  20. Hmmm what's the quality of the videos like? Many many moons ago I got the Possession and Aremid story edits on VHS from someone through AOL (again, many many moons ago, lol). An updated digital version would be most splendid.
  21. "The role of Bridget Forrester will now be played by Rebecca Budig." That's what we should have heard. Please refresh my memory y'all... last time we saw Krista Allen's Taylor, she and Brooke were basically cool with one another, right?
  22. From what Bravo promoted, Potomac and Beverly Hills should be the next ones to return. No word on Atlanta. Ah yes, RHOA & RHOBH premiering around the same time, sometimes the same week. The good ol' days... hubby and I recently re-watched the very first episodes of Beverly Hills, and later the table flip and first Posche fashion show of New Jersey, and everything just felt more real. Yes, there's always producer manipulation, but the nitty gritty emotions just felt more real and there were family interactions that felt so much more organic. It's like re-watching your favorite soap opera during its good era.
