Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yeah, that lil bombshell deserves a follow-up. Especially since we only had Teresa's non-reaction (since she has "delayed reactions," for when her little brain catches up with the rest of us). I'd like to see Jackie's triflin' head on a platter. Meanwhile, did we gloss over the fact that there’s a new Peacock reality dating show in the works that will feature RHONY’s Luann, Potomac’s Gizelle and Ashley, and OC’s Shannon? Plus, there’s a Vanderpump Villa-esque show in the works with RHONY’s Dorinda as host of Bluestone Manor. Bravo may have dumped OG RHONY, but they just can’t quit that cast. 😊

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC & BH may Y&R and B&B it to the finish line. I think RHOBH is still good though. There's always a real-life drama playing out or trying to get downplayed. I think next season's Potomac will definitely be a make-or-break after resting on their laurels for the last few years. I'd have to agree with everything else too. SLC burned itself out too quickly; I can only imagine who's in an alliance with whom this season because it literally changes every year. For sure, not taking care of Atlanta and now New Jersey has killed the buzz and momentum of the Housewives brand. IMO, their saving grace is still Beverly Hills. Yes, OC is strong, but it's never really had the pop culture buzzworthiness as BH/ATL/NJ/OG-RHONY.

Has The New Class ever been in reruns? I can't remember ever seeing it available. Add to that, California Dreams. The only other "TNBC" show I enjoyed back in the day was Hang Time.

I am worried for Kamala and the amount of sheer hatred that's about to be hurled her way. They hated Obama but they attacked Michelle even worse. They just can't stand seeing a black woman in charge. I'm 110% with her, and suddenly my 2019 Kamala bumper sticker on my car is relevant again

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I find it funny how the whole gang-up on Heather is basically forgotten from last year (well, so far. I'm sure Heather will bring it up eventually). Especially in the case of Heather vs. Tamra, but we can credit Shannon's DUI for changing up the show's narrative completely.

Married to Medicine
I'm down for that! As long as we don't have to see much of her husband.

DAYS: Head Writer Ron Carlivati Departing Peacock Soap After Seven Years
I loved Paula Cwikly and Peter Brash's work in 2002 and early 2003. This sounds promising. And yes, this is needed. Carlivati only has so many tricks that he repeats over and over. Sometimes I wonder how much better a Possession 2.0 would've been under someone else's pen. We knew they'd revisit it one day; it's just a shame it was done in such a jokey, gimmicky, unserious manner.

I can't wait to see Kamala wipe the floor with him come debate time (she's already said yes to having one).

Well, well, looks like Saved by the Bell indeed became a heavy hitter in the ratings by their 3rd season.

DAYS: July 2024 Discussion Thread
Finally saw the scenes with Kevin and Gloria Leo and Diana in prison and wow, one minute you'd think someone was sprinkling holy water on a possessed Diana and the next she was channeling a performance from Jessica Lange. I actually enjoy Judith Chapman as an actress; that said, it felt like an episode specifically made for Emmy material for Greg Rikaart and a Special Guest Star Emmy for Chapman. I almost expected Heather Tom to show up since B&B loves to give her one solid "Emmy episode" per year.

100% chihuahua. We have 3 toy chihuahuas now. Sadly, our mini schnauzer in my avatar photo is no longer with us 😔

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Haha thanks! I did this same exact shot exactly 4 years ago and in the same spot, so I did a recreation of a recreation. The Ryan's Hope openings always had someone with their arms stretched up so I felt inspired.

@te. Thanks for posting all these!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh really? Ugh that bursts the whole bubble of the "reality" of any of it. Wow. Oh well, at least the core women of that show are actual friends.

Melrose Place reboot in the works
Exactly! Why not cash in on some goodhearted nostalgia?

Melrose Place reboot in the works
I listened to it and loved it! Looking forward to them going through the individual episodes, with special guest stars to appear sometimes. Sounds like Andrew Shue will be the first up.

Thanks for sharing! On a similar note, with Chicago being ABC dominant, I'd be curious to see how badly Guiding Light did up against the mighty Oprah at 9am once GL switched to the morning in 1997. Also, when DAYS was at its mid-90's height, it aired at 11am opposite Loving/The City/PC and Y&R/Local News.

:::Crickets::: Uh oh, where is everyone? I haven't caught up on the dark cloud that is New Jersey just yet, but I saw the preview of OC where Shannon continues to drink and lives in a state of delusion that she doesn't have a problem with alcohol. In other news, word on the street is they're trying to salvage Atlanta, with Cynthia Bailey filming more and rumors of a return from Phaedra. So we'd be seeing her on both RHOA and Married to Medicine? (Perhaps she could just be phased out of M2M...)

Wondering too. I remember the cast saying once that every year they didn't know if they'd get picked up for the next season. IMO, I would think the show finally took off by season 3 ('91-'92) when they started adding more episodes outside of the school (Beach episodes, Palm Springs, murder mystery etc.) and then you had the addition of California Dreams to follow after Bell.

Melrose Place reboot in the works
Agreed, I love re-watching some MP, especially the first 3.5 seasons. I haven't listened to any rewatch podcasts of any other shows (including Housewives) but I'll definitely be listening to this!

Also from the Chicago area, and from what I understand, our local ABC (WLS) was always the top-rated local network, starting with Oprah at 9am and it stayed No. 1 throughout the daytime, with even shows like Loving beating Y&R.

Jenn Fessler, yet another one to suffer the second season curse. She looked like a total clown (she's got the ears for it) defending Jenn Aydin. I will say, though, I did kinda enjoy seeing the newer women and friends-of interacting with one another at Danielle's event... They really could do a Loving becomes The City and take all the newer women and build next season around them and let the old guard go.
