Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
BH: The only thing I liked about Terri DeMarco was her husband. Now, you got nada. PHOP: I co-sign the love on Potomac's resurgence. Watching the latest episode, I feel they are nicely building up the next era/generation of Potomac, and soon it'll just be the 2 elders (Grande Dame and Gizelle) hanging out with youngsters. I'm beginning to wonder if this'll be Ashley's final season. That said, I'm glad a lot of the newbies aren't on the Mia train(wreck) because she's messy at playing the Housewives game, not to mention her overall ick factor with bringing her children into her fkked up love life. (Keeping my response short, as SON is kinda jenky for me these days, with the pop-ups slowing down my computer)

It's always the out-of-work heartthrobs of yesteryear who were able to land gigs primarily due to their looks, not by talent... Add him to the list of rejects supporting Dumpster Fire.

Yes, she is handling herself very well and walking into everything with a positive energy; even the bunk beds! lol

Great writeup. Meredith seems to be over the show. She seems checked out this season. I think Mary's son is gay, and I hope her Jesus background isn't adding to his problems, because that could play a major factor in his depression. Continuing to like Bronwyn, though I keep forgetting her name, lol. And then there's the whole Bronwyn versus Braunwyn of OC so I have to try to remember how to spell her name. Maybe "Bob" is just easier, lol. The Britani (is that how you spell it?) soap opera love triangle was kinda funny this episode, though it's too bad there wasn't a slow build-up where we actually got to know her a bit first before the endless sobbing over the Osmond fella. ATL: Good grief, they're STILL filming? Is this going to end up being a hodge-podge of mess like when they shoehorned Jacqueline, Kathy, Rosie and the old gang into the ending episodes of RHONJ Season 6 with the Dunkin Donut Twins and Amber?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
New RHOBH promo looks... interesting. There's real-life drama to be had in Kyle/Mo and Dorit/PK, while the rest is fun fluff. I always feel kinda bad for the newbies whenever Housewives/M2M do those "sisterhood bonded for life" schmaltz because most of the time, the newbie is a one-and-done and never thought of again (I don't think an Anne-Marie or Joyce or Carlton or Diana are ever thought of by this group once they're gone from the show). Meanwhile the official "friends of" are Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly, whom I love. I'm wondering if Jennifer will be the Greek chorus of the group, pointing out the ridiculousness of it all. Yeah, she keeps withering away...

RHOP: As much as I like my lil miss Ashley, how she co-signed with Gizelle at the GNA event, PLUS having the audacity to come to the sprinter van to ask them to donate was tacky as hell. She deserved the dragging she got.

Melrose Place
That was probably my favorite interview so far! I was glad to hear she had a positive experience on Melrose, other than the tail end when she got the news she was dropped just after the cast celebrated being picked up for a second season. I loved hearing her input for Episode 10, "Burned," and how she felt confident in giving feedback on how her character should be responding to the LA riots. Good stuff. Meanwhile, it looks like their next special guest star will be the Special Guest Star herself!

Married to Medicine
The promo looks good! I'm glad Contessa is back and the couples trip looks a fun hot mess! lol I don't know why, but in keeping with soaps, the idea of a Phaedra and Apollo storyline playing out on M2M is like when GH's Anna and Robin finally reunited... on All My Children. It seems out of place. LOL that's hilarious...

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I know this is off-topic, but I gotta throw in my +1 to being a Brenda fan on 90210. I watched that show from the beginning (way too young to be watching, mind you) and I was Team Brenda all the way and I hated how Dylan chose Kelly during senior year. I'm one of those who preferred the early days when it was still Walsh family focused, so once they hit their college years and it became an ensemble, I started losing interest, especially after the curiosity of SBTB's Tiffani Amber Thiessen started waning. Luckily, when my love of 90210 started to fade, that's when Melrose Place kicked into high gear and became my new obsession (again, way too young to be watching such adult themed shows, but whatevs, lol)

Dear God, they really pass spouses around in the OC. The tradition that Slade began continues on...

Agreed on both newbies. Despite the wacky, tacky costumes and Pee Wee Herman funhouse, Bronwyn overall is a likable person, stands strong in the face of hostile housewives, and I enjoyed the very real conversation she had with her daughter about her grandparents. Brittani's schtick was DOA. Obsessing over the Osmond guy and their on-again/off-again relationship that no one else was really invested in knowing about, and when one person does (Lisa), she turns it around and blames her for causing more problems in the relationship. Granted, Lisa did take it too far with the texts and Facetiming, but Lisa was the only one in the group that showed any genuine interest (©Carlton Gebbia, RHOBH). LOL at the 4 that went zip-lining and having a good time, and then turning on one another at their sad lil picnic setup.

A "season high" when we're two episodes in. LOL. Small victories I guess... honestly, I can't remember what the previous week's numbers were, but I'd be more interested in knowing Live + 7 day to see how these shows fare after DVRing and streamings are factored in.

It's only October 10th. Still time for a 3rd "assassination attempt."

I'm usually a numbers nerd with the Nielsens, but I've fallen off from keeping track of network & cable shows in recent years, but just by doing a quick check, I see the CBS stalwarts pull in most of the best numbers for people watching live (no surprise, considering their older demos). However, shows like Housewives will get their numbers from DVR and streaming. That said, most people are fast-forwarding or flat-out missing commercials depending on their level of streaming service, so it's a wonder how advertisers feel about it all. Makes those tried and true soap opera fans who watch it live every day, every week all the more enticing now... Remember Season 6 of RHOA when they hit that all-time high of 4.6 million? Yeah, those days are gone.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Welcome back Potomac! Welcome back to The Grande Dame! I can't remember which other Housewives show recently had this same sort of "audition dinner" (was it Atlanta?), but it sure seemed like the birthday party get-together for Karen was a way to bring all the potential newbies together and see which characters would take off and which would be left on the cutting room floor. It felt different with the long-running Robyn and Candiace missing, but I see potential in the new women. I'm glad they brought on friends for Karen.... Gizelle ("messy gizzy", lol, take out the ZY at the end...) continues to be her messy pot-stirring self.... Ashley, you better finalize that divorce this year (looking good by the way!)... Wendy, I hope you have solid back-up plans in your post-professor life (them Bravo cheques won't last forever)... Mia continues to be gross as she flaunts her new boyfriend and we learn more about her and Gordon's true dynamic over the years... Jacqueline is back and seems to be itching to go at Karen (perhaps she and Mia made up and now Jac is doing Mia's dirty work, a la Kyle Richards/The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick?) Overall, it looks good and promising with the new direction they're taking the friend group of RHOP.

DAYS: R.I.P. Drake Hogestyn (John Black, Days of our Lives)
Wasn't her character the one responsible for John becoming paralyzed when Drake & Dee were written off in early 2009?

In the spirit of Days being Days, they could always bring Charity back as Mimi. Belle needs a friend during this emotional time... Kidding. Please don't.
