She's also in her facetuning era. Speaking of Potomac, in the most recent Deadline article, they said Gizelle and Wendy will be making cameo appearances on Beyond the Gates soon.

DAYS: July 2025 Discussion Thread
Julie should be retired. Marlena should be retired. Kayla & Steve should be making trips to Sedona to find their retirement/vacation home. Don't you just love how people on soaps stay in their profession until their literal dying day.

DAYS: July 2025 Discussion Thread
Thanks for that walk down memory lane because I remember so little about what happened on the show in the late 00's so the bulk majority of Nathan's story is forgotten by me. One side note: Keep The Bistro. We can wipe away memories of unimportant characters like Ava and Stefan with new memories. There needs to be options in Salem besides the Brady Pub. The Bistro, when the originally debuted it, had a bit of a different set-up, right? And it was the spot where reprogrammed Princess Gina pushed Jennifer off the balcony onto the Horton Town Square before the time jump, right? Small Bar could also be salvaged, but for gosh sakes given a proper revamp. It looks as clunky and tacky as GL's Main Street from back in the day. Whatever happened to Julie's breakfast restaurant (or at least it looked like something that catered to the early bird senior special crowd) which used to be Club TBD which used to be a coffee shop which used to be The Cheatin' Heart which used to be considered the seedier side of town? lol It'd be nice if they restored that to Club TBD or whatever it was when Julie and Chloe were co-owners. It offered up a variety of options and seemed to be *the* spot for New Years Eve for a few years.

I love how us fans get excited over a new set. Simple pleasures that we've been deprived of for the last 15 years.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Grading both ATL as we wrapped it up and OC as it's starting out, they are "fair", but not necessarily "good" and certainly not "great". They both get a pass but nothing bombastic or memorable. I agree Angela turned out to be a great addition to who will call out a castmember, be it directly or through a matter-of-fact side comment. Kelly gets a pass for a second season, but Angela was definitely the breakout of the new cast. Britt is already a non-factor. Bye. Shamea's reunion performance was a disappointment to say the least. Phaedra basically had nothing to say or offer. Cynthia was the perfect role of the Friend Of peacemaker. Please bring her back; the show needs her.

BREAKING: Days of our Lives Renewed through Season 63 (2027-2028)
Yes, I'd love it if they offered up their back catalog that Ken Corday loves to mention. B&B does it via YouTube, but DAYS would be at the advantage to release old episodes in crystal clear condition via Peacock. Obviously, we're talking about a lot of episodes, but they could go the B&B route of uploading a few different years at a time, like start with 1983, 1993, 2003 and keep building. Something like that. That way, you're also keeping multiple generations of long-time DAYS viewers interested.

Oh I remember the episode. I wish it was still available on YouTube. They gave her a pampered bath while Stefano watched.

ALL: Speculation on the Future of Successful Daytime Soap Operas
I think Ron's writing from 2017 to this year did a lot of damage to that effect, but with a smaller audience that remains loyal/stuck in their habit, I don't think it took viewers away. From rubber masks and DID, a schlocky hokey Possession 2.0 to Body & Soul, it was very much camp and a soap parody. But we DAYS fans can always weather the storm.

ALL: Speculation on the Future of Successful Daytime Soap Operas
Are soaps dead? No. However, half their family members kicked the bucket from 2009-2012. But yeah, the remaining shows + 1 new one have a renewed value in this modern era of television/streaming. It's too bad some of the AMC/OLTL/ATWT/GLer's weren't given the grace to stick it out.

ALL: Speculation on the Future of Successful Daytime Soap Operas
I wonder how the inconsistency in episode lengths translates to shows aired in other countries. I suppose the longer length episodes would be cut in areas, and any flashbacks would be removed, but for episodes where's its under 35 minutes, it's like damn, that'd a lot of commercial time to fill.

Great news to hear Glad for everyone involved there. Yes, let's hope for some $ for better set usage, but I won't hold my breath.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I thought the same thing as I was watching. It reminded me of what Rinna has said about Housewives being a game of Survivor. BH and certainly NJ have shown that to be true. I can understand Katie wanting ammunition on everyone on the cast in case she needs to use it in the future. She has just used her weaponry very poorly. Also, if she had kept that video of Shannon to herself instead of sharing it, she wouldn't be in this new mess and if need be, could have held onto it for another day when the inevitable day came that Shannon turned on her for something completely different. We see newbies fumble the ball all the time now in this new dog-eat-dog Housewives world. Just like Braunwyn (I can't remember which spelling is correct) on RHOSLC. I'm now willing to give the first seasoners a break because they're learning how to navigate. That said, yeah, Katie sucks at this game. Gretchen and her new face is welcome if she gets Tamra riled up and bothered. I'm here for it.

Daytime Emmy Nominees
Dang, they're not even gonna broadcast it again? I'm happy to see Sharon Case and Eileen Davidson in Lead. I hope Sharon Case gets it. Also glad for Paul Telfer.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The whole thing is so cringe. Half the "cast" (I'm not even sure which ones are considered the cast) are barely featured; they just pop in at random get-togethers. The main blonde guy living off daddy's money is the absolute worst, but he's the only who's actually creating storyline so it makes sense they feature him the most. Brooks is sweet, but his sensitivity and little triggering moments makes me roll my eyes. It's a little too "snowflake" for me, as a gay liberal myself. Man up, buttercup. The girl who doesn't wash her hands gives off an I-don't-shower-regularly vibe which is ick to me. Ariana (Kim's daughter) has had too much work done at such a young age. Riley is still shy. I like her, but that hair style... no. I like Ava, and I'd like to know a little more about Emira but she's one that just pops in and out. Overall, they're mostly vapid, privileged individuals who've have everything handed to them yet they still groan about their first world/one-percenter problems, and they're just so ... delicate about everything. It's fun to hate-watch though, tee-hee. That sounds so refreshing

Nothing super descriptive or bombastic, but looks enjoyable. We need a lil reality TV junk food fix in our household. We're currently hate-watching Next Gen NYC. God, I hate young people, LOL.

Y'all know my feelings on Phaedra, and her clown costume is right on par with her usual baffoonery. Right? Come through @Antoyne! lol

I knew it was her before I knew it was her. One-trick Phelony does it yet again. Why should anyone be surprised?

That's funny & petty and I love it, though I still say M2M is in a much better condition than present-day RHOA.

DAYS: June 2025 Discussion Thread
I wish they had sprung for a bigger set for the outdoor funeral. I guess we can't hope for a newly restored St. Luke's church in its former glory post-explosion, as the present-day one is like a sliver of the church's corner where everyone huddles together like it's a repurposed park bench set with walls.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Fun! I'm glad for you! POTOMAC: Yaaaass! Monique is BACK baby! Just what I wanted. I echo @Cat in wishing the Grande Dame would be there, as Monique will need all the backup she can get. I don't know what Monique has been up to on other reality TV, her divorce, her vowing never to return to RHOP, so I don't know of any hateration of her out there beyond her initial Potomac run, but I'm glad she's coming home!
