Yup and yup. After everything we've witnessed, this screams "We desperately need the Bravo cheque!" Everyone on this show is pretty despicable, not aspirational. I'll give Real Housewives of Guiding Light a chance. Not a huge fan of them all looking the same and seemingly the same age group (minus Dolores), but I'll give 'em a chance.

Secretly, I've always thought if JER's 1993-1997 material was used on a brand new soap (i.e. Passions) and not a soap with a 30 year fan base, it never would've been a hit or enduring daytime sensation.

Everyone loves the 90's in general, so just bring back their old cues and call it a day. The good mid-90's stuff, not the hokey stuff they started using around '97-98. They released a whole album of it (the late 90's cues) but I always wished they had released stuff from a few years prior.

They really gave Amanda Woodward the John Black treatment of convoluted back stories that changed. Surely, if Palmer Woodward was this well-known business man turned convict on the run, and Amanda was doing her thang as president of D&D, Jagger could've found out Amanda was alive and well long before Brooke did her lil visit.

What bugs me about GH is that they intentionally blur everyone's faces, whether they're 70 or 17. Like, if you're trying to conceal natural aging of your cast, hell, just go back to standard definition. It bugs me; I could never watch GH on a binge without feeling like something's wrong with my eyes.

I love Jackée whether she's playing up herself of not. She's entertaining to me, and I hope with upcoming casting changes, it won't affect her continued stay on DAYS. I'm still wondering if Eli & Lani are actually moving back to Salem full-time.

Great ending to a great season of Potomac. I love that they have so many options on where to go next season in terms of casting. I agree that Kiearna has sourpussed herself off the show (unless they really need a tagalong friend for Karen, which I don't think she'll need). Jassi kinda showed her ass at the reunion and I don't have a desire for her to return, but if she does, she does. I definitely want Tia to return. I thought she was a great addition. IMO, Angel can go. She's too much of a Debbie Downer. If she gets a second season, so be it. I for one hope Monique returns with a full-time flute next season.

Overall, I love my show and recommited to it after the domino cancellations of 2009-2012, but this has been my problem with DAYS in the last decade+, in addition to the piss poor budget... The enjoyment of the ride has greatly declined. Usually, when you have good well-planned storylines, we the audience anticipate the climax and denouement (when a couple reunites, a villain gets their comeuppance, etc.), but we enjoy the ride along the way: the build-ups, the misunderstandings, the false hope that today is THE day the truth finally comes out, etc. These days, it seems we're just waiting for the story to conclude to get to the outcome. And mostly, the outcome is disappointing or the climax kind of fizzles. And unless it's storyline-based (i.e. Bonnie suddenly traumatized after being kidnapped by Xander in the shed; whatever her issue was), the aftermath, trauma, repercussions of the story arc is mostly glossed over and it's on to the next ho-hum chapter. From the style of the writing, the cheeseball background music (DAYS' music catalog of the last 15+ years is the worst), the lack of budget to make things pop, so much of DAYS just comes off as background noise for the home/office.

Overall, I don't think anyone can top Shemar Moore. There are soap hunks, and then there is Shemar. Personally, Peter Reckell could do no wrong in my eyes, even with the bad haircuts.

Oof, that's rough man. Treat it as background noise and keep an eye/ear out for anything that might be good. Side Note: With all the comings and goings that are announced a decade before it airs, are Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers coming back for good, or just another prolonged visit?

Keiarna has taught me that not all good "friends of" need to be promoted. Perhaps that's why Marlo was never promoted for so long on RHOA. And with that in mind, it's probably best that the fabulous Jennifer Tilly always remains a friend on RHOBH. In her two years as a flute holder, Keiarna has either had a bland personal life story or started arguments with ladies that were whack and flopped. If she doesn't come back next year, I wouldn't miss her. @DaytimeFan Thanks for the Karen link. :)
