ALL: Real Life Pregnancies that were written in.
1997/98 - Guiding Light's Jenna (Fiona Hutchison). It resulted in one of the most pointless babies ever created on soaps - Baby Rocky - dumb name with a re-written conception, saying it was Jeffrey Morgan's, which later resulted in her own death, and baby Rocky was shipped off at some point never to be seen again.

DAYS: September 2025 Discussion Thread
I gave up on trying to understand anything Andre / Tony / 3rd Party (I feel like they should've introduced a triplet... or another lookalike cousin... because I thought they were supposed to be cousins, not twins. I dunno) All I remember thinking was that it was weird how Real Tony adjusted back into Salem life so quickly, suited up and ready to handle all things DiMera, when he had spent the last 20 years of his life stuck on an island wearing floral shirts.

DAYS: September 2025 Discussion Thread
I feel like the original "Plan to save DAYS" came in early 2002 when Brash & Cwikly took over and we had that wonderful transitional payoff of Sami's crash & burn in Vegas with Austin leaving her and leaving Salem, but I could be wrong.

ABC pulls “Jimmy Kimmel Live” from air indefinitely following host's Charlie Kirk comments
So glad for him and for free speech in general (for now). I know I'LL be watching! Jimmy always has passion in what he has to say, especially when he sees injustices. I just hope this isn't the beginning of watered down comedy in fear of pissing off the Führer.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'll go against the grain and at least give Whitney props for flat out admitting her business failed. I don't know any of the backstory behind it, and I'm guessing we will learn more about it once this sad lil cast trip has concluded, but that's gotta suck to have it all fall apart. Shouldn't have been doing that kinky stuff with your hubby on TV a few years back or else he might've still had that job.

The Politics Thread
They need a "reason" to cancel Jimmy and pounced on the first opportunity. Such B.S. all of it.

ALL: "Soapy" Podcast hosted by Rebecca Budig & Greg Rikaart
At least we can always count on Greg to mention Becky Jo was part of the original 1937 radio cast of Guiding Light. 😂

LOL! I'm ready for these Salty ladies too. Hubby & I have been reliving RHOC's Vicki, Tamra, Heather, Shannon, Lizzie season (I forgot how good it was), but it'll be nice to watch some fresh new material again!

ARTICLE: DAYTIME EMMYS: Ceremony Date, Location & Start Time, Plus How To Watch ‘The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards’
Agreed. Once they stopped holding the show at Radio City (2005) and started venue hopping, it also happened to coincide with the overall relevancy of the show. Though I'll give a shoutout to 2006 (the first time in LA) simply because it's when Guiding Light swept up 4 acting categories. I still prefer it being televised simply to give it even the slightest sense of respect, plus it cuts down on all that chit chat redundancy from whichever Entertainment Tonight weekend anchor is hosting.

DAYS: September 2025 Discussion Thread
Month behinder here. (Whoa, just had a flashback to back in the day when one would have to identify if they were a Day Behinder GL viewer whose local affiliate would air it in the morning. But I digress). Did they recognize the conditions of JJ's birth? i.e. on Melaswen. Just curious.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Agreed on the Jo part. I guess it kinda looks messy at face value, but at the same time, we had Alexis back last year and Gretchen this year, so why not bring an original cast member back too? [Side note: No sign of a Vicki appearance this year?] Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing this play out at the reunion. Katie can bring all receipts, texts, tweets, twats, DM's, pigeon carrier notes, whatever. Do it and be done. Also, I had to laugh at Shannon looking flustered on last night's episode, clearly rattled at seeing Tamra and Gretchen skipping along like besties. You just know she wanted a season-long gang-up on Tamra and now she's the only sour patch kid left.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
They've been trying to recreate Dinner Parties From Hell ever since the original, which came to be organically and totally out of left field. I agree in that it's time to get back to the basics that made the Housewives the success they became originally. Hell, give us some on-the-spot interviews with housewives on the street right after a scene gets played out. No need for all the green screen glammed up shots that aren't even inside their real homes anymore.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yeah.. I'm kinda done with her. Between her lack of accountability, Bravo protecting her bad behaviors on and off set, I don't see any "growth" potential for her anymore.

Y&R: Former 'DAYS' actor joins in returning role
LOL the general consensus here... +1 Perfectly fine actor, but safe, which means he'll safely fade into the background in Genoa City. Another former DAYS actor who always popped in and out like his onscreen mama who has also joined Y&R now. Guess this means no more trips to Salem for Tripp (see what I did there)

Bless her heart 😂 I look forward to seeing her in the mid-season bumper.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yeah, Katie lies and lies some more, but the gang up was icky, with the cherry on top being Emily callously saying, "yeah, you can just leave." And yes, they have ALL lied and been caught lying. I did love that even "little lies" like Heather and the paparazzi was brought up. Shannon seemed awfully flustered at the lie detector idea, as her old adage of "The OC is full of secrets, but I have nothing to hide," has long been retired. I really don't know what to make of Katie except she made rookie mistakes and continued to double down on fumbling the ball left and right. If she doesn't show up to reunion, I wouldn't be surprised. Either way, she won't return next season; she's gonna get Danielle Staub'ed out by the cast.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I enjoyed the trailer, looking forward to having these core ladies back along with some newbies! Yes, Gizelle is basking in her newfound queen bee role. It'll be... interesting to see how Gizelle and Wendy interact with Monique when she returns. [I still wish we could see an unedited version of that reunion...]

Y&R: Daytime Emmy winner joins cast!
Haha, I was just thinking the former Carly's are always popping up somewhere on another soap, but never quite sticking around for the long haul. I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did on DAYS, though I was certain she'd be back soon, or had already been back and taped and left again; who knows with DAYS. Heck, she'll probably appear in Salem next June for a 3 week stint.
