  1. She refuted his story on her instagram and I tend to believe her more than I do him. His videos were odd and had holes in them. He mentions she's leaving him for the show, BUT her leaving him hurts her future on the show. She now can't film with her son and doesn't have a husband. On OC that is a death sentence. Plus he fails to mention the surprise announcement that he owes $4 million in taxes and that that is why she consulted a lawyer. It is obvious he ran, likely to hide from creditors. He also didn't add a compelling argument for why he hasn't seen his son. I actually was side eyeing some of what she was saying, but his shady videos made me move more to her side of things.
  2. This was a nightmare! I'm glad he let her speak, but you could tell it was because it was completely uninterested and didn't know what he's talking about. He kept digging about how she got with her husband, when any Real Housewives fan knows she got with him while they were both married to other people. It was so awkward that he couldn't catch the hint and move on. Then when he mentioned Ashley's previous love interests, he seemed to miss most of her actual love interests and even asked her about Michael Tylo who was Brenda Epperson's love interest. I wish when doing interviews with people from shows he doesn't know he'd ask fans for questions.
  3. MS and JPS have remained close since she left GH. I didn't know about Finola, but it makes sense between GH and Pacific Palisades that she's known MS for years.
  4. The best way I can describe Miami is to say, if you like Melbourne, you’ll love Miami. It has the same elevated production values and the openness of their early seasons. These women are *so* open about their lives and leave nothing on the table. They also have incredible chemistry as a group which is hard to do with a reboot of half new/half old. Even a weak link like Larsa works because of her history with the group and overall ridiculousness. I also like that there isn’t a clear villain. Even with three episodes you can see everybody taking turns being messy. It just feels like a natural friend group. @CatI agree with you about Jen, but I do feel bad for her for some reason. To me she seems completely delusional to what she’s facing. I tend to agree with Mary, I wish her family well, but you can’t convince me the feds just made this up. She seems to be taking this too lightly when you consider how bad this is going to be for her. I’m waiting for her to pivot and take it seriously but that isn’t happening. I truly can’t understand it. This is NOT a joke. Even with the best lawyers, the feds are formidable.
  5. I thought yesterdays episode was very well done. I know she’d never get noticed by them, but Kimberlin is giving very strong, nuanced performances as Sheila. She had me fully buying everything she said yesterday and by the time we reached the FaceTime call I thought it was so touching.
  6. You will LOVE it. It is housewives, but elevated. These women are really delivering. They aren't hiding anything from the cameras and the actual content of these episodes is really surprising. Okay, I'm glad you said this. I have held off discussing SLC because I been fighting for my life across the internet defending Sister Mary Martha! I get that she's a mess and a bit of a Ramona, but just like I don't believe Ramona is racist, I don't think Mary is either. She's made a couple of ignorant statements, but I didn't feel like she was being mean spirited in saying them. I hope she can clean up the Jennie stuff, because I hate she slipped and gave Jennie a reason to justify her hate of Mary. Jennie has been dying to have a problem with Mary who did nothing to her. Yelling at Mary to "shut the F up" then playing the victim because she responded left a bad taste in my mouth. The posting that picture with the Black baby before that episode aired was suspect. If you wanna talk about racist on this show you have to look further than Mary. I find it telling that Heather also slipped up with her anime comment, but the mostly white fanbase only focused on Mary. Then you have Whitney acting like she's scared Mary and her husband are literally going to have her and her family killed for speaking out against them. THAT IS RACIST! Mary does not have a criminal record, does not curse and hasn't presented herself in a way that she would physically harm anybody. Then on the most recent After Show, Heather was co-signing the "Mary is violent and I'm afraid of her" narrative. Because Mary is eccentric they're allowed to do this and they don't get called out for it. Jen has gotten physical with Heather and in the midseason trailer we see her fighting Lisa, but they put that label on MARY, not her. Then if you go back to season one you'd see why Mary has such a bad relationship with the group. Mary came in kind to everybody, but when she had her issue with Jen, everybody kept quiet because they were afraid of Jen. They knew Mary was right, but nobody wanted to get to know her and defend her because of Jen. They only started to come around to Mary after Jen had pissed them all off. The only one who has tried to develop a real friendship with Mary is Meredith. Heather and Whitney were nice to Mary, yes, but they'd go in their confessionals and scenes together laughing at her like she was a joke. Yall think Mary didn't see that? I feel like now people are mad because Mary is so good at reading these girls like a scripture, but I wish they'd take the time to look and see HOW it got to this point. Mary doesn't bother them unless they come for her. When she does her interviews she doesn't even mention the other girls, except Meredith. They've wanted to get rid of her and I'm afraid I feel it'll most likely work after this season.
  7. After watching episode 3, I'm glad Peacock changed the plan of dropping the first 3 episodes at once. These episodes are JAM PACKED because these women are intent on delivering and I think this episode deserved to breathe on it's own. Alexia continues to amaze me. Her life before this show, during the first three season and now is just insane. You could make several movies about her life! Before the season premiered people were upset that the trailer showed Adriana mentioning that Herman was gay and I never could've imagined she would've been so open about all of this. On most shows I can't see the HW being this honest, especially the bit about her father. I'm glad she isn't allowing herself to be shamed and is holding her head up high. I also continue to love whenever we get to see Frankie. I'm so happy be survived his accident and is doing well. The other lead HW seems to be Julia or Adriana depending on how you look at it. Their chemistry is STRONG and you can tell Julia is more interested than she wants to admit. Her jealousy at the art show was insane and her doubling down in her confessionals like her wife won't see this?! Girl, thank you for being so messy! I can't wait for this to blow up in her face. Poor Larsa I try to like her, but she seems so dumb and she has no personality. To quote Nene, "Nothing was there." I wouldn't know how to describe her, she is just her looks. She never has anything interesting to say, she doesn't have an interesting relationship with any of the girls. She is simply there. If the show continues for a season 5 they need to go ahead and cut their losses. They got whatever buzz they're gonna get off her so call it a day.
  8. Storm’s suicide is a good one! If prime time counts, you can’t go wrong with Val getting her babies back on Knots Landing.
  9. Thank you for that info! I’m going to keep going then. I’m at Harley/Alan-Michael’s wedding now and thus far it hasn’t really been drawing me in. I think it could be that the episodes start at the climax of this story with Michelle Forbes, so I’m a bit lost. I’m going to keep going and see how I feel.
  10. I have a question for the people who are familiar with this time period. I see on YouTube a user named has uploaded many full years including 1989-1992 and various years after that. I have started in 1989 and have watched about 10 episodes so far. I was wondering if this is considered a good year for the show?
  11. I thought the Tamara Tunie interview was my favorite along with the Rosemary Prinz one. I don’t know if her heard our complaints or simply was more focused because of who she was, but I found Alan listened more, let her talk and seemed overall more engaged. I agree that the biggest missed opportunity was not mentioned the Kasi Lemmons was on ATWT. Overall though, I LOVED listening to Tunie speak. What a smart and talented woman with such a legacy!
  12. If you asked me a week ago I’d say no because he’s on The Equalizer which is a pretty big hit for CBS. Now of course he’s probably going to have a very open schedule, but I wouldn’t expect to see him anywhere.
  13. Wow! The only ended up uploading 2 episodes of Miami instead of 3 and I decided to watch the first one. Excellent, excellent reboot. If you haven't seen the first three seasons you'll be fine. They do a good job of re-introducing the older cast members and flashbacks fill in the necessary gaps. It's easy to figure out where everybody fits in the puzzle. The first episode is also 54 minutes, so it has room to breathe. The Newbies: They did a brilliant job with casting. All of the new girls work and their pictures don't do them justice because they are GORGEOUS. All have diverse backgrounds, big, beautiful homes, good style and clearly lots of money. I also like that they all have families and spouses that film with them. Guerdy is very confident and outspoken. I loved seeing her run her photoshoot and I loved that she did her own makeup for Larsa's party. Julia is super sweet and stunning to look at. I love how she can go from a farm to glam, but she isn't overdone. She is very classy and I don't get the sense she's trying too hard. Nicole is a big surprise for me. I expected her to be boring and not fit in, but she's also very outspoken and I loved her home and her family. The Vets: Adriana - This is Adriana's show 100%. If she didn't return this episode wouldn't have worked. She is incredibly smart and so well spoken and the shade just glides out of her mouth. She was fabulous in every scene she appeared in, looks better than ever and the frenemy relationship was great! I still find it shameful she was only a friend. It's very odd seeing so much focus on her and Julia's only connection to the group is Adriana. Marysol - This was Marysol at her best. I always have liked her, but upon re-watching season 3 she gave off such a desperate and pathetic performance that it was such a turn off. It's nice to see that she is back, refreshed and has finally found her voice. Her plastic surgery and style has improved and she now comes off as more of a leader for the group. Lisa - I didn't like Lisa originally, I didn't like her on my re-watch and I still don't like her. She doesn't have much personality and doesn't have much of a voice. If she weren't as rich as she were she wouldn't be holding a Mojito. You can tell Lenny is bored with her now that he got what he wanted which was the kids. She doesn't have an interesting relationship with any of the women either. She's just taking up space. Alexia - I know people complain she isn't the most exciting, but she's an important HW for this franchise and I love that she has such a soap opera-esque story arc. It was so nice to see Frankie again, to hear about Peter and see her openness about Herman and his gay lover. The one thing I found cringeworthy was how she kept shaming Larsa for having an OnlyFans. Her opinion was valid, but the way she kept going on about it felt very aggressive and almost jealous. Larsa - Eh. She is more vapid that she was before, but she did a good job of working herself back into the group. I'm not mad at it. She's not the best of the bunch, but you get the sense she'll give enough to justify her Mojito. As I mentioned earlier, I love the relationship with Adriana and I'm curious to see where she will land in the group and who she will be close with. I'm glad she threw the first party and got to properly show off her mansion, which we didn't get in season one. She needed to prove she could fit in the Season 2+ world and she did. Overall I'd say this was a hugely successful reboot and it looks like it'll be interesting enough to keep us invested week after week. I think that's why Peacock didn't release the third episode so they can stretch this out more. I predict it'll do very well for them and that they will get to do more Housewives series. Considering how well they did here, I would highly recommend allowing them to either launch a new city or another reboot. Peacock gets HWs in a way that Bravo doesn't. There is a freshness that I'd love to see more of.
  14. What an amazing intro starting with a voiceover from Mama Elsa, followed by an extended sequence with Adriana’s theme song playing! The production company is putting these other HWs shows to shame!
  15. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Beyond Salem was the only show they’ve offered on the free tier. Typically they give you a sample episode and you have to subscribe for the rest. I guess it’s just hard for me to be upset with them when you look at all the wonderful streaming content Y&R and GH fans get.
  16. I’m glad this is premium. That tells me they see potential in these Days projects long term. Also, as someone who has had Peacock a long time, most of their originals, particularly movies are Premium. I’ll gladly pay if it means more spin offs, films and probably classic episodes down the line. It beats the nothing we get from most of the other soaps.
  17. She looks amazing! I'm glad to see she's filming in front of the camera again! She also mentioned she has a role on a CBS/Viacom show coming soon. I can't wait to see what's next for her. Always happy to see her working after all she went through.
  18. It's funny. I'm always open to recasts, but if they're replacing someone long term I usually have some trepidation. Because Hunter Tylo had become such a bad actor, not to mention the plastic surgery which made it hard to emote, I have no problem with this recast. I'm happy the character is coming back and I feel like they got the right actor. I feel like Kristen Alfonso would've been an easy choice, but also a lot more expensive and probably more problematic. B&B's casting is usually spot on so I look forward to this, we just have to hope the writers don't let her down.
  19. For a show that ran so long, not to mention all the spin-off's, I'm surprised they didn't pull more from the overall Law and Order universe. Still, it looks like the cast is shaping up nicely, that just surprised me.
  20. You hit the nail on the head. He will interrupt mid sentence to say NOTHING. Its frustrating because many times it’s when the actor is going to say something interesting. It’s like he doesn’t even listen to what they’re saying because he never picks up on anything or has interesting follow ups.
  21. I feel like Dallas is a sure thing. Bravo has been doing such a good job with reboots and Peacock seems to be taking it to another level so I’m excited for what they might potentially bring. I feel like Peacock will have lots of exciting HWs content for us in the new year. Once Miami wraps they’ll have Girls Trip 2 then nothing is announced. I’m sure they’ll surprise us with something.
  22. It's sad that they mostly got it right on screen with the PP reboots, but behind the scenes was an absolute nightmare. Soaps in the 00s have such bad luck! It would've been easier to let them go if the reboots sucked, but I became so invested in both. If only they had a smart investor with a plan, I imagine both would still be huge hits for Hulu and OWN.
  23. This is pretty shocking! I hope they give her something worthwhile to do. It gives me hope maybe we'll get a Lucy story one of these days.
  24. @CatI feel like Tamra was the missing piece of the puzzle, but this is a good set up for her to return next year. It felt like classic RHOC like seasons 8-10. They gave you everything, but with the elevation that Heather brought when she first joined. Even Emily and Gina felt right. It felt like no time had passed. I didn't miss or even think about Kelly Dodd.
  25. Andy said on his radio show that Adriana is a friend because they didn't want to have too many housewives. That is stupid IMO because 7 would've been fine. He said she's in every episode and will seem full time and from the trailer she's giving more than some of the mojito holders. Just an odd, odd move. I also find all the Marysol to be odd since she's also a friend. Marysol also seems more interesting than she was before. I was convinced it was going to be terrible based on the lack of promo, but the RHOC premiere was the best opening episode for any of the shows that premiered this year. I feel like most have a big hook to draw you in, but it takes weeks to get there as we saw with RHOBH and RHOSLC. With OC, it kicked off right away. They did everything right. They reintroduced Heather, gave us house porn and a proper update on her family and life. Then they got us all caught up on Emily and Gina and gradually introduced the newbies. This all led to whispers of a secret and they left us with a great cliffhanger! No "wait 10 episodes for the drama to start," they literally just gave it to us. I thought everybody brought it and I think RHOC is going to have a good season.
