Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
When you look at ratings declining and Bravo being in a transitional phase both with the network and NBC launching Peacock, I don't understand why they haven't signed Carlos to a deal to produce shows. He's created a new hit franchise with Love and Marriage on OWN and his shows are always well produced, buzzworthy and get tons of social media attention. Considering what he's done for Bravo, it seems like he's the guy you'd lean on for new programming. Imagine if Carlos got his hands on RHOC or RHONY, or if he launched a new HW city after his brilliant work on RHONJ and RHOA. It's a no brainer. Those RHOM reunion looks are fantastic! Guerdy said the theme was Versace. Everybody picked outfits that flatter themselves and their own personal style. It's rare a reunion gets it so right.

Dallas Discussion Thread
I thought the Knots ladies wore the Travilla fashions better, although it was more jarring considering what they were wearing before. I also think they did a better job transitioning out of it than Dallas did. Knots was always good at adapting, Dallas was more drastic with their changes and the drab western wear was terrible.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I don’t think Bravo was going to fire her. Hell, they didn’t announce it until after the ratings came out and they lost 200,000 viewers in one week! They knew about this posts because these posts were current during casting and filming. I fully believe if fans didn’t put the pressure on them they would’ve used Jennie for a storyline. The fans and cast members like Meredith and Jen likely put their foot down and they had no choice.

Finally! The fans putting pressure on them is what made this happen.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Meredith’s comments and Bravo’s silence make me think they’re trying to create a world where Jennie can stay and have a Brandi Redmond-esque redemption season. I think that’s why she’s going so hard to avoid that from happening. Who wants to be part of a hardcore racists apology tour?! This House looks hideous and *so* Jersey.

SOD
I understand the need to wrap Hope's story up in someway, but I'd be happier with it happening off screen and being told what the solution is. They haven't been able to write a successful story for her for many years and her love interest is dead, so what's the point? Just have her come back to Salem and have Belle, Shawn, Ciara and Ben recap her scenes explaining she's getting married or whatever and leave her off screen. The rising star vet blind is likely about Lamon Archey. Hasn't his role on All American been expanded? Plus he's on recurring, so I'm sure he's at least looking for more opportunities outside of Days. The cast cuts have to be Days. I won't even entertain it being one of the other three.

Y&R: Old Articles
I thought Sussman's plan for Ashley was smart, but her style of writing needed more time that she got. She mentioned that the Ravi storyline was supposed to lead Ashley to her next love interest. People were up in arms about Ravi's crush on Ashley, but I thought they had good chemistry and he did a good job of loosening her up so she could have a love interest in the future. She just had become so cold and serious in those later years. I loved when she crossed over to B&B. They seemed to get her character and at least while Bill Bell was still interested, her crossover worked really well.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I fear they're going to pull a Brandi Redmond on Jennie. The casting company for SLC confirmed they're doing last minute casting for diverse newbies. That tells me they didn't have someone Black lined up and are likely desperate to replace Mary. Whoever they find will be in the same situation Tiffany was, where she has to walk on eggshells around Jennie. I'm sure Jennie will cry and do the remorseful act and weak women like Heather and Whitney will forgive her and the Black woman will feel pressure to accept her. I just don't see what positive they can get out of keeping Jennie. We still haven't seen her physically attacking Mary as Mary was walking away. That is going to start a whole new firestorm. Mary liked this tweet, which makes me think she's no longer interested and I can't blame her: There is just no good that can come out of filming with Jennie. This is a dark road Bravo is going down and they've shown they struggle when dealing with racism against Black people.

The TMZ reporter has a troubling scoop on the Salt Lake City news: Bravo is handling this worse than I could ever in a million years have imagined.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yes! The new episode is up and I wish they were kind and had given us two episodes this week. I cannot WAIT! Also, I give up and must admit that Larsa has completely won me over this season. Yes she's vapid and didn't need the makeover, but she isn't as mean as she was when she had Cristy at her hip. She went off this week, but she was defending herself. As for Mary, I'm not sure. In the Twitter Spaces I watched, she said that she is willing to do a one-on-one with Andy and mentioned that she's in discussions with production. Her biggest issue wasn't so much with the cast or what they were discussing (although she cried about the cult rumors), but with production. She said she had filmed scenes doing charity work and showcasing her other businesses, but this was left out so they could push the church cult rumors. She didn't understand why she wasn't allowed to show more of her life and felt it was unfair. She even mentioned a charity event she threw that they didn't show. It seemed like she was open to coming back, but she didn't seem to be sweating it either.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@CatI liked Jennie in the beginning as well! I even made excuses for the Insurrection Barbie photo! I had no idea! That should've been the first sign and the second big red flag was her niece saying her entire backstory was made up. I'm curious how Bravo will handle this. I know they're pissed. Yes, they could potentially catch this in season 3, but they now have a severely out of date reunion about to air, Mary is missing and now this. They have an entire mess on their hands and the fact that they're preventing the cast from talking about this makes me worry they will try to sweep this under the rug so they can keep Jennie on.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This weeks episode of Miami was a classic! The drama has officially kicked off and the preview for next week looks just as good. We've had bits here and there, but this was a real turning point for the show. I know some may find it boring, but I like that the drama isn't super heavy and that these women are interesting enough on their own not to need endless fights to keep things interesting. Before I get to the meat and potatoes, I want to say that I ADORE Kiki as a friend. Every show needs someone like her. In a way she reminds me of Mama Elsa. She doesn't get too involved, she's beautiful and drops in to give us a cute fun moment and then goes back to the background. She gives good balance to the show in her limited role. Now the main event was definitely Nicole earning her mojito. Her solo storyline is not the most exciting and since they haven't had many group events, she's come off kinda forgettable. Well this week she certainly made sure we will remember her with a classic housewives mistake: butting into a fight that doesn't involve her. Lisa was a complete [!@#$%^&*] wanting her own room knowing there were 9 girls and 5 rooms. Obviously the host would have her own room and the rest will double up. She should've just gotten a hotel and kept it moving. Many housewives have done that in the past with no issue. Her whining was ridiculous and Nicole used that as an excuse to jump in and elevate the situation into a big event. Then we get to dinner and Marysol set it all off by revealing the mess Nicole has been talking about Larsa and her bestie Lisa. Marysol was so confident in her words and I loved that nobody doubted what she was saying, to the point Nicole mostly owned up to what Marysol was accusing her of. I will give Nicole props, she held her own, but she ultimately lost because it was so obvious she was talking about them. Now she's trying to throw Alexia under the bus to ruin her friendship with Marysol and I feel that is only going to work against her. Alexia and Marysol have proven to be teflon and are very well liked in the group. It's going to be difficult for her to go against them AND potentially Larsa and Lisa. Now with next week? You cannot convince me that Julia doesn't have a real crush on Adriana. Giving her a gift from Tiffany's on one knee?! I'm sure she will play it off like a joke, but you can't convince me her wife is happy with that. I'm curious to see how far this is going to go and if they will press her at the reunion.

Which Longtime Soap Had The Most Difficult '70s Modernization?
I've always felt in older episodes I've seen of ATWT from the 70s or early 80s felt VERY dated. I remember looking at those Soap Classics DVDs and the production values just looked so bad. The sets, the makeup, the lighting, the wardrobe, it all felt very stale and dated. I don't know enough to know if the stories also suffered, but the aesthetic was bad.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I woke up early and got to scroll through her timeline myself. The disturbing thing is, this is her real Facebook and it went back YEARS, based on the ages of her kids in photos, it's *at least* five years old. The shocking posts that people found were from 2020. That means that while the show was casting, they wouldn't have even had to have searched for this. THIS was her entire feed. Also disturbing is how many of the posts had the content removed. Do you know how bad the content had to be for Facebook to remove it? I have clocked Jennie's racist from the beginning and on Twitter and other messages boards (not here), I was told that I was crazy and must be a member of Mary's cult and that I was wrong about Jennie. All the signs were there, but nobody wanted to believe it! I wonder how Bravo is going to handle this. The story is all over the internet and being picked up by various platforms. Meredith just posted the word "vile" and said that the ladies aren't allowed to comment on the Jennie situation, but she has a lot to say and will be speaking once the network allows it.

Soap Budgets
Yes, this came after she was fired for an extended time and she’d moved to Texas. But prior to that she was bartending and playing Belle.

Soap Budgets
Those salaries in LA seems very difficult to manage. The smart actI’m Ed book other acting gigs or have other jobs. I know Martha Madison mentioned working as a bartender while playing Belle and of course everybody is in real estate. The OG of this though is Kate Linder who has always kept her flight attendant job.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Discussion Thread
Season three is as impressive as I remember. For a teen show, this has such impressive writing and I see why it's so difficult to recreate the type of magic they had here. I miss the longer scenes shows used to have. There is so much character development we've lost in an effort to speed through things. This Brenda/Dylan/Kelly triangle today would likely just be another triangle, but the fact that it takes Brenda 13 episodes to find out made it so much more impactful. I also love that they had the complication of Brends flirting with Rick in Paris and the lack of sex between Dylan and Kelly. They spent the season really building the Brenda/Dylan and Brenda/Kelly dynamics so by the time it hit, it exploded. Another relationship I love that I feel is overlooked is David and Kelly. Making them siblings was a clever way of maturing David and integrating him into the group in a real way as his relationship with Donna developed. The weakest part of the season for me continues to be Brandon, Andrea and Steve. The ironic thing is that Andrea has good chemistry with both guys that is completely ignored. Brandon/Andrea was teased at the start of the season, but they instead put him with a string of forgettable romances while she mostly sat on the backburner or in Blaze related plots. Steve is just kinda there.

Falcon Crest
I loved what they did with Emma in the final season. I know it's unpopular, but I thought the final season was great. It was very dark and almost felt like a reboot. It was a big improvement on the previous couple seasons.

DAYS: Makeup room photo chart reveals contract cast for some point in 2022
That Craig and Nancy news is so sad! I feel like she’ll likely be kicked to the curb and the focus will be on him. I don’t mind the story idea in general, but they were such a unique and likable couple. If anything, I’d make somebody like Xander bi or gay. Hell, maybe even Philip and see if that can salvage his character.

Those SLC reunion looks are shocking. Why did so many go for that cheap crushed velvet?! Lord. In happier news, starting January 15th, Real Housewives of Cheshire, Melbourne and Johannesburg will be debuting on Discovery+! Link: https://deadline.com/2022/01/discovery-library-deal-nbcuniversal-biggest-loser-american-ninja-warrior-1234912345/ Why this isn’t on Peacock I’ll never understand, but I’m happy I’ll have an easier way to watch! Can’t wait to do a full rewatch of Melbourne!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I just binged the three most recent episodes of RHOC and I still am enjoying this season. It's not super fast and drama packed, but I feel they're giving us enough and I enjoy the personal storylines. The only HW I have an issue with is Dr. Jen. I don't like her, I don't dislike her, I feel nothing. I often forget she exists if she's not in a scene. She adds nothing and I can't retain anything from her, she is just there. Noella, on the other hand, is flawless. She is a total mess and I love that she's one of the few that has Heather's number. Gina and Emily are clearly kissing Heather's ass to be in the "in" crowd and I've seen nothing to suggest they like her on a personal level. When it comes to Noella's sit down with Heather, I believe every word she said. Based on what we actually saw and various interviews Heather did, we know she threatened to quit the show if they went forward with the lawsuit storyline. I absolutely believe that Heather threatened Nicole off camera, threatened production and everything else Noella suggested. Where Heather's genius comes in, she's good at manipulating situations and an EXPERT with her words, so it'll be interesting to see her make Noella look crazy so her claims aren't taken seriously. On another note, I wanna give props to the Queen of Miami for getting a regular, in person episode of WWHL, when the actual official cast all got smushed together in a group episode. I'm curious how they'll handle the reunion considering Adriana is central to all the drama. The first seats should be Alexia and Adriana based on content, but I'm sure it'll be Alexia and Larsa. I also think Adriana needs to be out there the entire time and can't be brought out later as a friend. She is too central to the show not to be on the couch the entire time. They made an exception for Luann in season six of RHONY and they should do the same here. As for Salt Lake City, I'm very shocked that Andy says there are 5-6 episodes left. This is a looooooooooooong season for a second season. On one hand I feel it's too long, but since this is Mary's swan song, I'm glad we have a few more episodes with her. I'm very curious about this "shocking" moment he's teasing in the next couple episodes. From Twitter insiders who are aware, the twist apparently will be worth the wait.

B&B: Bold from the beginning
I expected to be Team Brooke, as I always have been, but watching these early episodes really opened my eyes. She's very bold in her choices and I wish they'd retained her assertiveness from these early episodes. She knows her choices aren't always right, but there is always a reason that makes it worth it in her eyes. That's easier to take than her current crying because she slipped in another mans lap.

General Hospital January 2022 Discussion Thread
I feel like Curtis needs to be with Laura, which I realize would never happen, despite chemistry. Portia I'd put with Nikolas. I've noticed chemistry in their scenes and it could make a nice triangle with Ava. I'm getting bored of Ava/Nikolas so I'd love a shake up there.

DAYS: Makeup room photo chart reveals contract cast for some point in 2022
Sarah getting trapped on an island wasn't a terrible idea, but it was obvious it was a rushed exit and they had no plan for Xander afterwards. That is what really sunk her exit for me.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Mary would’ve slayed all of them at the reunion, but I’m glad she didn’t give them the energy, especially Jennie’s boring hating ass. I know they were disappointed and had to adjust their strategy without her there. It’ll be curious to see how season three goes. Jen can only do so much. Fans thought this season was boring as hell the first half when Mary typically had one scene and the other ladies carried the episodes. It didn’t really pick up until her cooking party. Without her and with Jen very likely going away soon, SLC is potentially in a lot of trouble.
