That Beverly Hills trailer was genuinely good and I feel like we’re about to get an all star season! I see balance and multiple people bringing different things to the party which I have missed in these recent seasons. THANK YOU GARCELLE for finally speaking up against Erika. It seems like they will finally realize they don’t need to kiss her ass. I see Diana/Erika/Rinna/Dorit being a team of demons. I expected Rinna to have a quiet season with her mom dying, but she seems more evil than ever. She came off *so* bad that it’s even caused me to question if I believe all this bad press Kathy has gotten. Also? Whatever Kathy said about Kyle was probably true. Now I see why Kim said Andy called her and asked her to come back. Next season will 100% be Kathy/Kim vs Kyle.

Please don’t remind me! Such a fabulous character with the perfect actress in the role and they kill her off. Thornes only child!

Season five just gets worse and worse. The awful Jeff Wainwright rape story for Maggie has begun. I remember hating that on my first watch because it went on for so long. I feel the same now. It’s so obvious where it’s headed, so watching week after week as he prepares is just sick to me. I am not fond of rape stories on soaps in general, but this has to be one of the worst.

Yes, this is insane. I busted out laughing reading your post because it highlights just how ridiculous this is! You mean THIS is what makes Sheila go over the edge?! Come on! If we’re being real, all the soap vixens should be doing stuff like that to keep it interesting. To me that’s just so damn minor.

I think they had positioned her to a place where she can remain in the canvas long term, which I think is needed. She’s provided a jolt to the show. And yes, it looks like the big “twist” is Sheila accidentally shooting Finn, then shooting Steffy and I’m sure their excitement is from the Emmy reels once these two make it to the hospital. I still don’t find it believable that Sheila would do all this to cover such a minor secret. The problem with Brad is that his stories are so poorly planned that he couldn’t even give proper build up to such a huge event. I really don’t think Sheila will come back from this. It was too brutal.

So Sheila has shot and left Steffy and Finn for dead….this is just awful. Sheila wouldn’t do this. This is one step to far and she can’t return from this. You mean to tell me Sheila would kill Steffy because she knew she gave Brooke alcohol?! That is minor leagues! This is ridiculous and they aren’t even pulling me in with the drama. I am so upset that they’ve ruined Sheila in this way. They did a good job of redeeming her too.

Larsa was online complaining after the reunion and said she might not come back. I think it’s just like season one. She expects people to fall in line and she didn’t like that people didn’t defend her. She’s a weak housewife so I wouldn’t miss her. I thought it was silly how people acted like she got one over on Adriana, when she was the one being run out of events.

When you consider how late he joined the show, Doug Sheehan got really good screen time until he left.I also actually loved his exit espionage storyline. I know the writers tried to bring him back later, but said he wouldn’t even respond to the request. This explains why lol.

Season five I find is really dragging. I see why they made changes after this. This season has so many short term arcs and characters who go nowhere. The most enjoyable part I would say is the writing for Angels and Emma and I do love Peter, but the storylines aren’t doing anybody any favors.

Not sure if it’s the twist, but just as I predicted, Sheila accidentally shoots Finn trying to kill Steffy. I would like to hope this isn’t the twist or that there is a misdirect, because for one this isn’t shocking and two this is going to upset fans.

Beautiful teaser and smart to start promoting it early instead of just dropping a trailer. I wish they’d do more of these promos.

The queen earned her peach and you can already tell from that trailer she’s going to bring it. I can’t wait to see more of her family! I love a housewife that brings a personal storyline and a cast of characters to film with! Other than Marlo, I’m also excited for Sanya. I know nothing about anything she did during filming, but she seems like an interesting and original casting.

Now I’m watching season five, which I consider the last traditional season of Falcon Crest before outsiders come in for the final four. This is still a good season, but so far I wouldn’t say I’m loving it as much as four. It seems like once again we start the merry go round of temporary characters who soon are forgotten. Morgan Fairchild has started off very promising, but I recall being annoyed as her story progresses. Then you have Ken Olin as Julia’s soon to be forgotten son. My favorite things so far are the Coke/Melissa scenes. I always thought they had good chemistry and I’m enjoying them together. The temptation with Christopher and the schemes from Robin with the baby are fun. I like Melissa this way. She’s slightly devious but not evil or crazy. Chase and Maggie also have more spark. I’m glad they acknowledge what a hot head he is. I do wish Connie stuck around longer and I wouldn’t mind if she got into a relationship with Chase. I feel like the writers this season have given Jane Wyman a lot of fun stuff to do. I like her new love interest and that they’ve dialed back the evil. Margaret Ladd is also carrying every scene she appears in. She comes into this season very strong and confident. I also love her new love interest Dwayne. I hope the later season writers understand her and give her good stuff to work with. The weakest part of the season is Lance and Apollonia. Their chemistry is fine, but to go from Lorraine to this just seems like a waste of time. It took so long to find a strong love interest for him and they threw it away with no apparent plan.

It’s just speculation, but they don’t follow each other on Instagram and never mention each other, despite both having very active and family driven Instagrams. There’s also another woman that Liza posts and says is like a mother to her, but nothing of Susan. Of course everything could be fine behind the scenes, but publicly they seem distant. Maybe Liza just doesn’t want the attention posting her famous mom, it just seems odd since both post so much, but never mention each other.

This is such sad news. I fell in love with him during Covid when Susan would regularly post him cooking on Instagram. A talented and charming man and the love they had was obvious. I hope she’s doing okay and that she has support because she doesn’t seem to be close to Liza. Hopefully this brings them back together.

@Taoboi I was impressed they kept Lisa Wu a secret. I definitely wanted to see her again and she looked GORGEOUS in the trailer. I don’t know why they delayed it, but it’s breaking my heart! I want to see it so bad! Maybe they’re delaying it to give them time to get more Housewives content ready.

That trailer was horribly put together, but I can see a good season and I love the cast. I’m excited to have some All Stars back because NJ and OC haven’t been doing it for me.

One of my first thoughts when the twist was announced is Stephanie returning. If they could get Susan Flannery back, doing some sort of flash forward where she exists and didn’t die would be huge, but the beloved character will probably be someone like Bridget lol. They won’t even spring for Lesli Kay.

I think the new Trina has been absolutely seamless in terms of transition. The hardest way to do a recast is when they jump into a middle of story, so I’m not surprised we haven’t seen some of the traditional elements we’re used to from Trina. She literally said hi and ended up in jail. Plus it’s been less than a week.

Lmao, yes! I feel it’s happened before. I know it has on prime time as I’m currently watching the episodes where Richard accidentally caused his daughters death on Falcon Crest while trying to frame her husband for attempted murder. In general I wish and hope whatever the twist is that it truly reinvigorates the show. Shock twists only work if it’s steeped in character and creates long term complications, which Brad Bell has shown he can’t handle.

What if Sheila has a plot to kill Steffy or whoever and accidentally kills Finn? I feel like Brad would tell an awful story like that.

This twist stuff is so irritating to me. Casey said that this is a bigger shock than Maya being trans and it’s something that hasn’t been done before. How is a character death that shocking?

I agree with both. I think that reason I can overlook the nazi storyline is because I viewed it more like a McGruffin and enjoyed what it did for the characters. This is also the first season when they’ve brought on several viable supporting characters, which makes Lorraine’s exit even more disappointing. Even Anne Archer is another gem, but in typical Falcon Crest fashion, she’s in and out.

I’ve reached the odd part of season four where they randomly wrapped everything up 20 episodes in and pivoted to a new story with new characters for the final episodes of the season. Such an odd choice when you consider how far into the season they were. I also felt like everything was so suspenseful and working well.
