Season three is as impressive as I remember. For a teen show, this has such impressive writing and I see why it's so difficult to recreate the type of magic they had here. I miss the longer scenes shows used to have. There is so much character development we've lost in an effort to speed through things. This Brenda/Dylan/Kelly triangle today would likely just be another triangle, but the fact that it takes Brenda 13 episodes to find out made it so much more impactful. I also love that they had the complication of Brends flirting with Rick in Paris and the lack of sex between Dylan and Kelly. They spent the season really building the Brenda/Dylan and Brenda/Kelly dynamics so by the time it hit, it exploded. Another relationship I love that I feel is overlooked is David and Kelly. Making them siblings was a clever way of maturing David and integrating him into the group in a real way as his relationship with Donna developed. The weakest part of the season for me continues to be Brandon, Andrea and Steve. The ironic thing is that Andrea has good chemistry with both guys that is completely ignored. Brandon/Andrea was teased at the start of the season, but they instead put him with a string of forgettable romances while she mostly sat on the backburner or in Blaze related plots. Steve is just kinda there.

Falcon Crest
I loved what they did with Emma in the final season. I know it's unpopular, but I thought the final season was great. It was very dark and almost felt like a reboot. It was a big improvement on the previous couple seasons.

DAYS: Makeup room photo chart reveals contract cast for some point in 2022
That Craig and Nancy news is so sad! I feel like she’ll likely be kicked to the curb and the focus will be on him. I don’t mind the story idea in general, but they were such a unique and likable couple. If anything, I’d make somebody like Xander bi or gay. Hell, maybe even Philip and see if that can salvage his character.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Those SLC reunion looks are shocking. Why did so many go for that cheap crushed velvet?! Lord. In happier news, starting January 15th, Real Housewives of Cheshire, Melbourne and Johannesburg will be debuting on Discovery+! Link: https://deadline.com/2022/01/discovery-library-deal-nbcuniversal-biggest-loser-american-ninja-warrior-1234912345/ Why this isn’t on Peacock I’ll never understand, but I’m happy I’ll have an easier way to watch! Can’t wait to do a full rewatch of Melbourne!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I just binged the three most recent episodes of RHOC and I still am enjoying this season. It's not super fast and drama packed, but I feel they're giving us enough and I enjoy the personal storylines. The only HW I have an issue with is Dr. Jen. I don't like her, I don't dislike her, I feel nothing. I often forget she exists if she's not in a scene. She adds nothing and I can't retain anything from her, she is just there. Noella, on the other hand, is flawless. She is a total mess and I love that she's one of the few that has Heather's number. Gina and Emily are clearly kissing Heather's ass to be in the "in" crowd and I've seen nothing to suggest they like her on a personal level. When it comes to Noella's sit down with Heather, I believe every word she said. Based on what we actually saw and various interviews Heather did, we know she threatened to quit the show if they went forward with the lawsuit storyline. I absolutely believe that Heather threatened Nicole off camera, threatened production and everything else Noella suggested. Where Heather's genius comes in, she's good at manipulating situations and an EXPERT with her words, so it'll be interesting to see her make Noella look crazy so her claims aren't taken seriously. On another note, I wanna give props to the Queen of Miami for getting a regular, in person episode of WWHL, when the actual official cast all got smushed together in a group episode. I'm curious how they'll handle the reunion considering Adriana is central to all the drama. The first seats should be Alexia and Adriana based on content, but I'm sure it'll be Alexia and Larsa. I also think Adriana needs to be out there the entire time and can't be brought out later as a friend. She is too central to the show not to be on the couch the entire time. They made an exception for Luann in season six of RHONY and they should do the same here. As for Salt Lake City, I'm very shocked that Andy says there are 5-6 episodes left. This is a looooooooooooong season for a second season. On one hand I feel it's too long, but since this is Mary's swan song, I'm glad we have a few more episodes with her. I'm very curious about this "shocking" moment he's teasing in the next couple episodes. From Twitter insiders who are aware, the twist apparently will be worth the wait.

B&B: Bold from the beginning
I expected to be Team Brooke, as I always have been, but watching these early episodes really opened my eyes. She's very bold in her choices and I wish they'd retained her assertiveness from these early episodes. She knows her choices aren't always right, but there is always a reason that makes it worth it in her eyes. That's easier to take than her current crying because she slipped in another mans lap.

General Hospital January 2022 Discussion Thread
I feel like Curtis needs to be with Laura, which I realize would never happen, despite chemistry. Portia I'd put with Nikolas. I've noticed chemistry in their scenes and it could make a nice triangle with Ava. I'm getting bored of Ava/Nikolas so I'd love a shake up there.

Sarah getting trapped on an island wasn't a terrible idea, but it was obvious it was a rushed exit and they had no plan for Xander afterwards. That is what really sunk her exit for me.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Mary would’ve slayed all of them at the reunion, but I’m glad she didn’t give them the energy, especially Jennie’s boring hating ass. I know they were disappointed and had to adjust their strategy without her there. It’ll be curious to see how season three goes. Jen can only do so much. Fans thought this season was boring as hell the first half when Mary typically had one scene and the other ladies carried the episodes. It didn’t really pick up until her cooking party. Without her and with Jen very likely going away soon, SLC is potentially in a lot of trouble.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Discussion Thread
Originally I started watching in season 9 so the later Kelly is the first one I met lol. I've seen the first 5 seasons multiple times, but could never sit through 6 so I never finished it again. This time I plan on finishing it. BTW, something interesting I noticed on the DVD is that all the music has been changed, but the Color Me Badd episode had the original music. That gives me hope they'll keep the music in when super important, like the graduation.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Discussion Thread
Reading back this thread, I see that I've been trying to rewatch this show since 2013! I didn't rewatch then because the DVDs have new music. I eventually gave up on that and started watching a couple years back on Hulu, until I noticed them talking about Scott's death and I realized each season is missing several episodes. I recently got a Bluray player and I saw the entire series (plus the recent reboot with the OGs) for $70 on Amazon so I decided to buy it. I'm almost finished with season two and am so glad I decided to watch it again. The first season is absolutely garbage. The only thing they got right was the ensemble. Season two you can tell the show is finding it's groove. It's more serialized and while there are some self-contained clunkers, they do a lot to develop the group. I loved Mel and Jackie getting together, which helped bond David into the group and bring him closer to Donna through the connection with Kelly. I enjoyed the interlude with Brandon and Emily Valentine, although I do think that story would've been stronger had they developed Brandon's feelings for Andrea and factored her in more. She felt the most under-utilized this season, with Steve coming in second. I'm excited to reach season three, which is when I remember really falling in love with the show. And of course those later seasons which I haven't seen since they originally aired.

General Hospital pausing production for a week
I imagine we will see more of this for the soaps. Even when they do come back up, the way Covid is spreading, I predict temp recasts popping up. It'll be interesting to see how they handle it this go around. I don't imagine any will stay dark long enough to stop the flow of new episodes, but we really don't know yet.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
For the most part, I felt like Mary did a good job of defending herself this week. I notice that there's quit a stir on twitter about her using Jennie's accent, but of course no comment about the blaccent that Jennie uses and the neck rolling whenever she talks to Mary. It's obvious what they're doing and I feel they'll likely win. There's only so many people Mary can fight against. Whitney has the nerve to say she can't have toxic friends, but her friend Sara from season one was at the Jan 6th riots. These racist republican women are just trying to push Mary out, who they never liked in the first place. Heather's anime comment was overlooked, her fetishizing Black men has always been overlooked. Their constant talking down to Mary is overlooked, but now that Mary speaks up she's dangerous, racist and scary. Hell, next week Jen, the criminal, is fighting Lisa, but they're scared of MARY?! They need to take down MARY, who has no criminal background? You can't convince me none of this is because she's Black.

Y&R: Tony Morina accused of sexual harassment. Sony being sued.
I just wish I knew how he has kept GH looking as good as it does. They seem to have an endless supply of sets, even Curtis' dad (which is like a D story) got a bedroom set! And these are big sets! GH to me is the most modern looking soap and because it has so many different sets it allows for more movement. The other three soaps, even B&B now, keep shrinking what little sets they have down. For this reason alone I'd be curious to see what he'd do on the Bell soaps.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
I finally made it to either Feb or March 1988 and I'm so confused about the Forrester daughters. Felicia I won't get into because she hasn't arrived and eventually got her due with Leslie Kay. Kristin, on the other hand, is a mystery to me. They've done a good job of developing the character and by now she has an interesting romance with Clarke, a fascinating relationship and backstory with Stephanie and she's designing at Forrester. How did she become such a forgotten character?! It amazes me to think Clarke had two kids, but none with the Forrester he was married to. That seems like such a missed opportunity. Then when you think of how long she was gone until Tracy Melchoir took over the role, which amounted to nothing. It's just odd. The show has had lots of Forresters throughout the years, but those two daughters really seem neglected, particularly Kristin. It's sad to think of what she became seeing how vibrant she was in these early episodes.

Yall have me excited! I definitely hope Will, Sonny and Leo are back. I wish DAYS could just steal Greg full time. Kevin is a complete dud at this point, but Leo has potential as the gay vixen as only DAYS could do. Also curious who will be playing Lani's father. I hope that is a good get and not a bust like Curtis' dad on GH.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I feel like they did a good job of casting a group that for the most part are real friends so the chemistry is there. It's clear who the outsiders are (Nicole/Larsa) because they don't seem to fit in nearly as well as the rest.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm kinda over Monique now that she's an anti-vaxxer telling people to eat lemon and rub essential oils on their body to beat covid. With that said, good for her and Carlos King. I still say that Bravo is insane for not signing that man to a deal to produce shows for them. Love and Marriage: Huntsville is always trending and is very popular. That is a show that should've been on Bravo. RHOM It's amazing that the show has been so interesting and it took until episode 4 for us to have our first fight amongst wives. I don't know why this is so good, but these producers really know what they're doing. I know they also produce Married To Medicine, which is also consistent. I don't know why Bravo doesn't have them do more shows. If Dallas returns, this company definitely needs to be in charge. What I liked about the Guerdy and Adriana thing is that this is a light, petty housewives feud. These shows tend to get very dark and personal, but this I can get behind. Both were right and both were wrong which is more fun for me as a viewer. The part that REALLY intrigued me was how Martina kept siding with Guerdy, who she barely knows and how upset she seemed about the foot massage. Yes Guerdy was messy bringing it up, but you could tell Martina was PISSED. I know it's just a show, but Julia seems like she's really into Adriana. Now if Adriana is really into her I'm not sure, but Julia DEFINITELY wants that cat. This storyline is my favorite and what I want to see more of. I am so curious where this is going to end up. Larsa continues to confuse me, but I did enjoy her scene with her daughter. Nicole, on the other hand, is completely losing me. I feel like she could've been a friend. I'm not seeing how she fits in overall. Kiki is adorable and so beautiful. She's the perfect friend. She shows up looking gorgeous, says a little bit here and there and lets the women do most of the work. I really like her pop ups.

THE COLBYS
I loved The Colbys, but I do agree they had too many kids, Bliss should've been eliminated entirely. I also feel like they messed up when casting Frankie. Katherine Ross was dreadful in the role and it didn't help that the character was *so* unlikable. They wanted to push Sable as the unreasonable/Alexis type, but the story just didn't match up at all. I wonder how it would've played had they gotten a good actress to play Frankie and maybe give her more layers. It might've pushed the writers to make them both grey characters which could've been fun.

Y&R and B&B Early 2022 spoilers
B&B is mostly good now, but there are little things Brad does so bad. The actress who plays Paris is good. Why is it so hard to find a love interest for her? Dino and RJ exist. They could've continued exploring the thing with Thomas. They could bring her parents on to give her something to do. Jumping from Zende to Finn to Thomas to Carter makes no sense. Speaking of Carter, you had a popular pairing with Quinn and he also has chemistry with Katie, so the solution is to pair him with Paris?! It honestly feels racist because you know the only reason they did it is because they're both Black.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I feel like the husband is a scam artist, but Noella aint too far behind. The difference between the two is that she's a better actress and knows how to frame a story. It's odd he's supposed to be such a successful lawyer, but is such a bad liar.

Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I’m glad I stuck with these 1989 uploads because now in the April episodes I’m hooked! I’m starting to see some of my favorite characters: Billy, Vanessa, Blake (albeit a Blake I don’t know), Ross, Holly. I also loved Beverly McKinsey from AW/Texas so it’s nice to see her in her other signature role. It’s interesting seeing Kassie DePaiva on GL. She fits in well, but this Reardon family confuses me when I look it up because it’s so big. So Chelsea is sisters to Nola and Maureen? Of course I see her interacting with Maureen, but did Chelsea ever interact with Nola? I get she was on OLTL, but it seems like a missed opportunity to never bring her back, especially once Maureen died. I have two questions about this family: 1. Did anybody return for Maureen’s funeral from the Reardon family? 2. How does Bridget tie into this family? Physically she always reminded me of Nola, but I am pretty sure they aren’t mother and daughter. ETA: She popped up in the episode that just started and I have to say: I DO NOT LIKE HARLEY! I never liked her in the later years and I feel the same in 1989. She’s more likable than she became, but the Cooper family was so grating in those later years that it’s going to take a lot of patience for me to enjoy them.
