Yeah, GL is consistent. I'd love to see them overthrow OLTL. Now is the time to get a new headwriter in at GL, with better stories, and less focus on the same damn people day after day (which is why I'm tuning out).

And I'm SO happy for Days! But when you look at the ratings from Feb to now, it's not all that different. 2.6 is the average... But I love the daily ratings, for once, for DAYS it's VERY consistent, that's what I like to see. NBC has GOT to be happy that Days is rising, and that Passions is staying consistent.

Fans may like GH but it's a [!@#$%^&*] mess. AMC is a clusterfuck and OLTL is just a huge WTF. They are in desperate need of help. My mom loves all three shows and has watched them since the 1980s. She's still more or less a "casual" fan (i.e. doesn't read things on the internet about writers, etc). She's got the same complaints we all do. ABC needs help and Frons needs to get his thumb out of his ass and realize this. Y&R and DAYS are getting fresh blood (more or less, LOL)....

B&B has been this low before, it's had a 2.8 or 2.9, IIRC. It has dropped compared to last year. But looking back at last years ratings shows that last year seemed to be better than the year before. (And there have been cases of both DAYS and GH jumping ahead of B&B, lol)

Anyway, while some of us may not like Ridge and Brooke, it could be that a majority of fans do. The problem is that Bell has never left them alone long enough to figure it out. And there's always something breaking the two of them up.

I still don't think the Dante SL is a good one. They should just give Bridget some time off. When JenFin was on the show they would give Bridget a SL just so they could use her, but I don't think Ashley Jones brings the same thing to the role and the stories, just IMO.

Thanks for those numbers Rick!! :)

It seems GL, Y&R, Passions, and Days have actually been consistent on a month by month basis. Days has averaged 2.5-2.6, Passions 1.5-1.6, and Y&R 4.1-4.3. GL has stayed put right where it is. That means alot compared to all the others whose monthly averages are going down as we get deeper into the year.

The big difference in Days and Passions right now is their dailies are being consistent now where before you would have like 3-4 days of 2.7's, or 1.6's in Passions' case, and now both shows are holding a steady number though the whole week and having one or two big days in some cases.

ABC should want to make changes after looking at those numbers. Nevermind how they have decreased from last year, just like at how far down they have gone since January. I guess all the gimmicks finally wore off and people finally saw through them. They are definitely in need of a change ASAP.

I agree, last year's numbers did fare better than the year before. But, last year, there was the return of Taylor, Stephanie's Heart Attack Reveal, and then Stephanie getting control of Forrester Creations. The stories last year were MUCH better than stories from 2004, or even now. Allowing their most talented script/breakdown writer to (possibly) move to competing show instead of promoting him long-term will be a costly mistake for B&B and Brad Bell.

THIS is one of Brad's biggest problems. He can't write for a couple without automatically wanting to break them up or make them bedhoppers. Before Taylor came back, Ridge/Brooke made an interesting combination. They were dealing with Forrester Creations, Thomas and Amber's Relationship, among other things. There are many other things that can challenge a soap couple besides infidelity. Just ask fans of Y&R or RYAN'S HOPE! And guess what? You can still have your campy humor and flashy, sexy fashion shows on top of that.

Dante would be hella interesting if they gave him a backstory(or a story period) and stuck with it. Brad didn't have a clear plan in mind for Antonio Sabato Jr. when he joined the soap. He just wanted him. We were forced to see moments of tension between he and Taylor, then that was scrapped. Now he's the father of FeFe's baby.

Brad Bell clearly has no [!@#$%^&*] clue what to do with his own show anymore. He is tired, restless, and out of ideas. But as long as Brad is still alive, he will continue to destroy his dad's work.

Interesting that all the soaps have gone down, down, down since January, with the exceptions of Y&R, Days, and Passions. Those three have rebounds slightly this month everyone has either held steady or dropped like a rock; especially AMC, OLTL, and GH.

I'm trying to find out about that. I was told last week it would continue past the Confusion opening but I don't know if that means permanently or maybe just until the end of the summer (since its obviously such a big hit the kiddies).

If I find out anything I'll post it.

I have to say I like the new style but it depends on the director. Angela Tessinari kept the cameras pretty steady on her day this week but Barbara Simmons today actually did make me dizzy.

GL never flucuates much, which is really good IMO. At least it's steady. ATWT looks like it's getting into that habit too.

GH needs to fall even more, but I'll take any ABC soap falling below GL and be happy. :) It's just that I have an axe to grind w/ GH.

B&B is...well, I see the soap dipping to the 2s soon (and maybe going down to #3).
