The actor shots are fine. The graphics and typography look like an elementary school project. Did Josh’s grandson put this together. This would be an embarrassment to put on air. 
 

The current opening is great. All it needed was updated cast photos.

This looks cheap and dated. They should’ve kept it simple and do what B&B did and just go back to the old school opening. White background, keep the actors names and keep it simple. I don’t understand how this even got approved. I also feel like the graphics don’t match the music and it feels slow. 
 

How does CBS micro manage the show but allow this?

The current opening was pretty cheap also. The font was basic and some shots (esp MTS) were very unflattering. The women got diamonds and champagne in the background but the guys got nothing.

And the background shots were basically the same as foreground(outfits and poses)

I agree the EB wink is good.

It's cheap and AFAIK they don't care about the product beyond that and non-controversial stories that keep the lights on and it making them some coin.

I looks extremely dated and fanmade. Like when YouTube first became "a thing" - if someone got paid more than a dollar for this, he/she who authorised this project should be fired ASAP.

The silhouette at the beginning is definitely not MTS and EB

I was just *assuming* it was them. (and I should not assume!)

You could be right, it could be anyone.

Maybe it's supposed to be *suggestive* of them?  The woman in the silhouette seems to be wearing something similar to Nikki's gala gown.

OMG - this was worst in full size HD! Watching it on my TV was painful. The cast shots are GREAT. Everyone featured in today's opening looked beautiful.

But, everything about the opening around the cast in just WRONG! Where are the pen strokes animating the Y&R logo? Why the spotlights? It makes sense for the gala step and repeat scenes, but it has nothing to do with Y&R beyond these gala episodes.

Oh I hope this is mistake...

Agreed. Much improved. Waaayyyy past time.

It's cute. I would change the font used for the names of the performers and get rid of the "ground spotlight effect" and give it more of a silky flowing shimmer. Might get rid of the background building visuals. Maybe. I love toying around that stuff.
